Ezechiela 14
1 Potem przyszli do mnie niektórzy spośród starszych Izraela i usiedli przede mną.
And there came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.
2 I doszło do mnie słowo PANA mówiące:
And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
3 Synu człowieczy, ci ludzie postawili swoje bożki w swym sercu, a [kamień] potknięcia do nieprawości położyli przed twarzą. Czy uważasz, że szczerze pytają mnie o radę?
Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumbling-block of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them?
4 Dlatego przemów do nich i powiedz im: Tak mówi Pan BÓG: Każdemu z domu Izraela, który stawia swoje bożki w swym sercu i położy przed twarzą [kamień] potknięcia do nieprawości, a przyjdzie do proroka, ja, PAN, odpowiem według liczby jego bożków;
Therefore speak to them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet, I Jehovah will answer him according to this, according to the multitude of his idols:
5 Aby uchwycić dom Izraela za serce, gdyż oni wszyscy odeszli ode mnie z powodu swoich bożków.
that I may take the house of Israel by their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.
6 Dlatego powiedz do domu Izraela: Tak mówi Pan BÓG: Nawróćcie się i odwróćcie się od swoich bożków, i odwróćcie swoje twarze od wszystkich waszych obrzydliwości.
Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Return ye, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.
7 Każdemu bowiem z domu Izraela i z obcych przebywających w Izraelu, który odwróci się od naśladowania mnie, a postawi swoje bożki w swym sercu, położy przed twarzą [kamień] potknięcia do nieprawości i przyjdzie do proroka, aby radzić się mnie przez niego, ja, PAN, sam mu odpowiem.
For every one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, who separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet to inquire of me by him, I Jehovah will answer him by myself;
8 I zwrócę swoją twarz przeciw temu człowiekowi, i uczynię z niego znak i przysłowie, i wytracę go spośród mego ludu. I poznacie, że ja jestem PANEM.
and I will set my face against that man, and will make him desolate, [so that he shall be] for a sign and for proverbs, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people: and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah.
9 A jeśli prorok dał się zwieść i mówił słowo, ja, PAN, zwiodłem tego proroka. Wyciągnę na niego swoją rękę i zgładzę go spośród mego ludu Izraela.
And if the prophet be enticed and shall speak a word, I Jehovah have enticed that prophet; and I will stretch out my hand against him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
10 I poniosą [karę] za swoją nieprawość: kara proroka będzie taka sama jak kara tego, który u niego się radził;
And they shall bear their iniquity: the iniquity of the prophet shall be even as the iniquity of the inquirer;
11 Aby dom Izraela już więcej nie oddalał się ode mnie ani nie plamił się więcej swymi przestępstwami; aby był moim ludem, a ja – ich Bogiem, mówi Pan BÓG.
that the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither make themselves any more unclean with all their transgressions; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, saith the Lord Jehovah.
12 Słowo PANA ponownie doszło do mnie mówiące:
And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
13 Synu człowieczy, jeśli ziemia zgrzeszy przeciwko mnie, niezmiernie dopuszczając się przestępstwa, wtedy wyciągnę na nią swą rękę, zniszczę jej zapas chleba, ześlę na nią głód i wytracę z niej ludzi i zwierzęta.
Son of man, when a land sinneth against me by working unfaithfulness, and I stretch out my hand upon it, and break the staff of the bread thereof, and send famine upon it, and cut off man and beast from it;
14 Choćby [byli] pośród niej ci trzej mężowie: Noe, Daniel i Hiob, to oni przez swoją sprawiedliwość wybawiliby [tylko] własne dusze, mówi Pan BÓG.
though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, should be in it, they should deliver [but] their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord Jehovah.
15 [A] jeśli ześlę na ziemię dzikie zwierzęta, a one ją wyludnią i będzie spustoszona tak, że nikt nie będzie mógł przechodzić z powodu zwierząt;
If I cause evil beasts to pass through the land, and they bereave it, and it become a desolation, so that no one passeth through because of the beasts;
16 Jak żyję, mówi Pan BÓG, że choćby ci trzej mężowie [byli] pośród niej, żadną miarą nie wybawiliby ani synów, ani córek. Tylko oni sami byliby wybawieni, lecz ziemia byłaby spustoszona.
— though these three men should be in it, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters: they only should be delivered, and the land should be a desolation.
17 Albo jeśli sprowadzę miecz na tę ziemię i powiem do miecza: Przejdź przez tę ziemię; i wytracę z niej ludzi i zwierzęta;
Or [if] I bring the sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land, so that I cut off man and beast from it,
18 Jak żyję, mówi Pan BÓG – choćby ci trzej mężowie byli pośrodku niej, żadną miarą nie wybawiliby ani synów, ani córek, ale tylko oni sami byliby wybawieni.
and these three men should be in it, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only themselves should be delivered.
19 Albo jeśli ześlę zarazę na tę ziemię i wyleję na nią swoją zapalczywość w sposób krwawy, aby wyniszczyć z niej ludzi i zwierzęta;
Or [if] I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast,
20 Choćby Noe, Daniel i Hiob [byli] pośród niej, jak żyję, mówi Pan BÓG, żadną miarą nie wybawiliby ani syna, ani córki; oni przez swoją sprawiedliwość wybawiliby [tylko] swoje dusze.
and Noah, Daniel, and Job should be in it, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither son nor daughter: they should [but] deliver their own souls by their righteousness.
21 Tak bowiem mówi Pan BÓG: Tym bardziej, gdy ześlę na Jerozolimę moje cztery ciężkie kary: miecz, głód, dzikie zwierzęta i zarazę, aby wytraciły z niej ludzi i zwierzęta.
For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the evil beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast!
22 Oto jednak zostanie w niej resztka, która zostanie wyprowadzona – synowie i córki. Oto oni wyjdą do was i zobaczycie ich drogę i czyny, a wy będziecie pocieszeni z powodu tego nieszczęścia, które sprowadziłem na Jerozolimę – wszystkiego, co sprowadziłem na nią.
But behold, there shall be left in it those that escape, who shall be brought out of [it], sons and daughters. Behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings; and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, as to all that I have brought upon it.
23 I oni będą was pocieszać, gdy zobaczycie ich drogę i czyny. I zrozumiecie, że tego wszystkiego, co w niej uczyniłem, nie uczyniłem bez przyczyny, mówi Pan BÓG.
And they shall comfort you, when ye see their way and their doings; and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord Jehovah.
