Wyjścia 18
1 A gdy teść Mojżesza Jetro, kapłan Midianitów, usłyszał o wszystkim, co Bóg uczynił dla Mojżesza i swego ludu Izraela, że PAN wyprowadził Izraela z Egiptu;
And he heard Jethro [the] priest of Midian [the] father-in-law of Moses all that he had done God for Moses and for Israel people his that he had brought out Yahweh Israel from Egypt.
2 Wtedy Jetro, teść Mojżesza, wziął żonę Mojżesza Seforę, którą ten wcześniej odesłał;
And he had taken Jethro [the] father-in-law of Moses Zipporah [the] wife of Moses after dismissal her.
3 Oraz jej dwóch synów, z których jednemu było na imię Gerszom, bo [Mojżesz] powiedział: Jestem przybyszem w cudzej ziemi;
And [the] two sons her who [the] name of the one [was] Gershom for he had said a sojourner I have become in a land foreign.
4 Drugi zaś miał na imię Eliezer, bo [mówił]: Bóg mego ojca był moją pomocą i wybawił mnie od miecza faraona.
And [the] name of the one [was] Eliezer for [the] God of father my [has been] help my and he has delivered me from [the] sword of Pharaoh.
5 Jetro, teść Mojżesza, przybył wraz z jego synami i żoną do Mojżesza na pustynię, gdzie obozował przy górze Boga.
And he came Jethro [the] father-in-law of Moses and sons his and wife his to Moses into the wilderness where he [was] encamped there [the] mountain of God.
6 I kazał powiedzieć Mojżeszowi: Ja, twój teść Jetro, idę do ciebie wraz z twoją żoną i z oboma jej synami.
And he said to Moses I father-in-law your Jethro [am] coming to you and wife your and [the] two sons her with her.
7 Mojżesz wyszedł więc swemu teściowi naprzeciw, pokłonił się i ucałował go. Potem wypytywali się wzajemnie o powodzenie i weszli do namiotu.
And he went out Moses to meet father-in-law his and he bowed down and he kissed him and they asked each of neighbor his to welfare and they went the tent towards.
8 Mojżesz opowiedział swemu teściowi wszystko, co PAN uczynił faraonowi i Egipcjanom ze względu na Izraela, o całym trudzie, który ich spotkał w drodze, i [jak] PAN ich wybawił.
And he recounted Moses to father-in-law his all that he had done Yahweh to Pharaoh and to Egypt on [the] causes of Israel all the hardship which it had come upon them on the journey and he had delivered them Yahweh.
9 Jetro cieszył się ze wszelkiego dobra, które PAN uczynił Izraelowi, że wybawił go z ręki Egipcjan.
And he rejoiced Jethro on all the good which he had done Yahweh to Israel whom he had delivered it from [the] hand of Egypt.
10 I Jetro powiedział: Niech będzie błogosławiony PAN, który was wybawił z ręki Egipcjan i z ręki faraona i który wybawił lud z niewoli egipskiej.
And he said Jethro [be] blessed Yahweh who he has delivered you from [the] hand of Egypt and from [the] hand of Pharaoh who he has delivered the people from under [the] hand of Egypt.
11 Teraz wiem, że PAN jest większy od wszystkich bogów, bo gdy oni zuchwale powstawali przeciwko niemu, [to od tego poginęli].
Now I know that [is] great Yahweh more than all the gods for in the matter which they have acted presumptuously on them.
12 Potem Jetro, teść Mojżesza, wziął całopalenie i ofiary dla Boga. Przyszedł też Aaron i wszyscy starsi Izraela, aby jeść chleb z teściem Mojżesza przed Bogiem.
And he took Jethro [the] father-in-law of Moses a burnt offering and sacrifices to God and he came Aaron and all - [the] elders of Israel to eat food with [the] father-in-law of Moses before God.
13 Nazajutrz Mojżesz usiadł, aby sądzić lud. I lud stał przed Mojżeszem od rana aż do wieczora.
And it was from [the] next day and he sat Moses to judge the people and it stood the people at Moses from the morning until the evening.
14 Gdy teść Mojżesza zobaczył wszystko, co on czynił dla ludu, powiedział: Cóż to jest, co ty czynisz dla ludu? Dlaczego ty siedzisz sam, a cały lud stoi przed tobą od rana aż do wieczora?
And he saw [the] father-in-law of Moses all that he [was] doing for the people and he said what? [is] the thing this which you [are] doing for the people why? [are] you sitting to alone you and all the people [is] standing at you from morning until evening.
15 Wtedy Mojżesz odpowiedział swemu teściowi: Bo lud przychodzi do mnie, aby się radzić Boga.
And he said Moses to father-in-law his thatr it comes to me the people to consult God.
16 Gdy mają [jakąś] sprawę, przychodzą do mnie, a ja rozsądzam między nimi i oznajmiam ustawy Boga i jego prawa.
For it will be[long] to them a matter [it is] coming to me and I judge between each and between neighbor his and I make known [the] statutes of God and laws his.
17 Teść Mojżesza powiedział do niego: Niedobra to rzecz, którą czynisz.
And he said [the] father-in-law of Moses to him not [is] good the thing which you [are] doing.
18 Zamęczycie się i ty, i ten lud, który [jest] z tobą, bo ta sprawa jest zbyt ciężka dla ciebie. Sam jej nie podołasz.
Certainly you will wear yourself out both you as well as the people this which [is] with you for [is too] heavy for you the thing not you are able to do it to alone you.
19 [Dlatego] posłuchaj teraz mego głosu, poradzę ci, a Bóg będzie z tobą. Wstawiaj się za ludem przed Bogiem i zanoś sprawy Bogu;
Now listen to voice my let me advise you and may he be God with you be you for the people in front of God and you will bring you the matters to God.
20 Nauczaj go też ustaw i praw, wskazuj im drogę, którą mają chodzić, i czyny, które mają spełniać.
And you will warn them the statutes and the laws and you will make known to them the way [which] they will walk in it and the work which they will do!
21 Upatrz też sobie wśród całego ludu mężczyzn dzielnych i bojących się Boga, mężczyzn prawdomównych, którzy nienawidzą chciwości, i ustanów ich przełożonymi nad tysiącem, nad setką, nad pięćdziesiątką i nad dziesiątką.
And you you will provide from all the people men of ability [those] fearing God men of faithfulness [who] hate unjust gain and you will appoint over them officials of thousands officials of hundreds officials of fifties and officials of tens.
22 Niech oni sądzą lud w każdym czasie. A gdy będzie ważniejsza sprawa, zaniosą ją do ciebie, ale każdą mniej ważną sprawę sami będą sądzić. W ten sposób ulżysz sobie, gdy poniosą [ciężar] z tobą.
And they will judge the people at every time and it will be every matter great they will bring to you and every matter small they will judge they and lighten from on yourself and they will bear with you.
23 Jeśli tak uczynisz, a Bóg tak ci nakaże, wytrwasz i cały ten lud będzie wracać na swoje miejsce w pokoju.
If the thing this you will do and he will command you God and you will be able to endure and also all the people this to place its it will go in peace.
24 Mojżesz usłuchał więc rady swego teścia i uczynił wszystko, jak mu powiedział.
And he listened Moses to [the] voice father-in-law his and he did all that he had said.
25 I Mojżesz wybrał z całego Izraela dzielnych mężczyzn, i ustanowił ich przełożonymi nad ludem, nad tysiącem, nad setką, nad pięćdziesiątką i nad dziesiątką;
And he chose Moses men of ability from all Israel and he appointed them chiefs over the people of icials of thousands officials of hundreds officials of fifties and officials of tens.
26 I sądzili lud w każdym czasie. Trudne sprawy zanosili do Mojżesza, a każdą drobniejszą sprawę sami sądzili.
And they judged the people at every time the matter difficult they brought! to Moses and every matter small they judged they.
27 Potem Mojżesz odprawił swego teścia, który odszedł do swej ziemi.
And he sent off Moses father-in-law his and he went himself to land his.
