1 Wtedy Mojżesz i starsi Izraela nakazali ludowi: Przestrzegajcie wszystkich przykazań, które wam dziś nakazuję.
And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep the whole commandment which I command you this day.
2 A w dniu, w którym przeprawicie się przez Jordan do ziemi, którą daje ci PAN, twój Bóg, ustawisz sobie wielkie kamienie i pobielisz je wapnem.
And it shall be on the day when ye pass over the Jordan unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set up for thyself great stones, and cover them with plaster;
3 I wypiszesz na nich wszystkie słowa tego prawa, gdy tylko przeprawisz się, abyś wszedł do ziemi, którą daje ci PAN, twój Bóg, do ziemi mlekiem i miodem płynącej, jak ci obiecał PAN, Bóg twoich ojców.
And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, so soon as thou art passed over; in order that thou mayest go in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, a land flowing with milk and honey; as the Lord, the God of thy fathers, hath spoken unto thee.
4 Gdy więc przeprawicie się przez Jordan, ustawicie te kamienie, o których wam dziś nakazuję, na górze Ebal, i pobielisz je wapnem.
And it shall be so soon as ye are gone over the Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, on mount 'Ebal; and thou shalt cover them with plaster.
5 Tam też zbudujesz ołtarz PANU, swemu Bogu, ołtarz z kamieni. Nie będziesz ich ciosał narzędziem z żelaza.
And thou shalt build there an altar unto the Lord thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.
6 Z kamieni nieciosanych zbudujesz ołtarz PANU, swemu Bogu, i na nim będziesz składał całopalenia PANU, swemu Bogu.
Of whole stones shalt thou build the altar of the Lord thy God; and thou shalt offer thereupon burnt-offerings unto the Lord thy God;
7 Złożysz też ofiary pojednawcze i będziesz tam jadł, i radował się przed PANEM, swoim Bogiem;
And thou shalt slay peace-offerings, and eat [them] there; and thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God.
8 I na tych kamieniach bardzo wyraźnie wypiszesz wszystkie słowa tego prawa.
And thou shalt write upon the statues all the words of this law, very plainly.
9 Potem Mojżesz i kapłani Lewici powiedzieli do całego Izraela: Milcz i słuchaj, Izraelu. Dziś stałeś się ludem PANA, swego Boga.
And Moses with the priests, the Levites, spoke unto all Israel, saying, Be attentive, and hearken, O Israel! this day art thou become a people unto the Lord thy God.
10 Będziesz więc słuchał głosu PANA, swego Boga, i będziesz wypełniał jego przykazania i ustawy, które dziś ci nakazuję.
Thou shalt therefore hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
11 W tym samym dniu Mojżesz nakazał ludowi:
And Moses commanded the people on the same day, saying,
12 Oto ci, którzy staną, by błogosławić lud na górze Gerizim, gdy przeprawicie się przez Jordan: Symeon, Lewi, Juda, Issachar, Józef i Beniamin.
These shall stand upon mount Gerizzim to bless the people, when ye are come over the Jordan: Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin.
13 Oto zaś ci staną na górze Ebal, by przeklinać: Ruben, Gad, Aszer, Zebulon, Dan i Neftali.
And these shall stand for the sake of the curse upon mount 'Ebal: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
14 I odezwą się Lewici, i przemówią donośnym głosem do wszystkich mężczyzn Izraela:
And the Levites shall commence, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,
15 Przeklęty człowiek, który wykona wyrzeźbiony lub odlewany posąg – obrzydliwość dla PANA, dzieło rąk rzemieślnika, i postawi w ukrytym miejscu. A cały lud odpowie: Amen.
Cursed be the man who maketh a graven or molten image, the abomination of the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place; and all the people shall answer, and say, Amen.
16 Przeklęty, kto lekceważy swego ojca i swoją matkę. A cały lud powie: Amen.
Cursed be he that holdeth in light esteem his father or his mother; and all the people shall say, Amen.
17 Przeklęty, kto przesuwa granicę swego bliźniego. A cały lud powie: Amen.
Cursed be he that removeth the landmark of his neighbor; and all the people shall say, Amen.
18 Przeklęty, kto sprowadza ślepego z drogi, aby błądził. A cały lud powie: Amen.
Cursed be he that causeth the blind to wander out of the way; and all the people shall say, Amen.
19 Przeklęty, kto nagina sądu przybysza, sieroty i wdowy. A cały lud powie: Amen.
Cursed be he that perverteth the cause of the stranger, of the fatherless, and of the widow; and all the people shall say, Amen.
20 Przeklęty, kto obcuje z żoną swego ojca, bo odkrywa brzeg płaszcza swego ojca. A cały lud powie: Amen.
Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt; and all the people shall say, Amen.
21 Przeklęty, kto obcuje z jakimkolwiek zwierzęciem. A cały lud powie: Amen.
Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast; and all the people shall say, Amen.
22 Przeklęty, kto obcuje ze swoją siostrą, córką swego ojca lub córką swojej matki. A cały lud powie: Amen.
Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother; and all the people shall say, Amen.
23 Przeklęty, kto obcuje ze swoją teściową. A cały lud powie: Amen.
Cursed be he that lieth with his mother-in-law; and all the people shall say, Amen.
24 Przeklęty, kto zabija potajemnie swego bliźniego. A cały lud powie: Amen.
Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbor secretly; and all the people shall say, Amen.
25 Przeklęty, kto przyjmuje dary, by zabić niewinnego człowieka. A cały lud powie: Amen.
Cursed be he that taketh a bribe to slay a person, an innocent blood; and all the people shall say, Amen.
26 Przeklęty, kto nie trwa w wypełnianiu słów tego prawa. A cały lud powie: Amen.
Cursed be he that executeth not the words of this law to do them; and all the people shall say, Amen.
