1 Jeśli mężczyzna poślubi kobietę i zostanie jej mężem, a potem zdarzy się, że nie znajdzie ona upodobania w jego oczach, gdyż znalazł u niej coś nieprzyzwoitego, wtedy wypisze jej list rozwodowy, wręczy go jej i odprawi ją ze swego domu.
When a man taketh a woman, and marrieth her, then shall it be, if she find not favour in his eyes, because he hath found in her some matter of shame, that he shall write her a scroll of divorcement, and put it into her hand, and shall send her forth, out of his house.
2 A gdy ona opuści jego dom, może wyjść za mąż za innego.
And, when she cometh forth out of his house, then may she go her way, and become another man’s.
3 A jeśli drugi mąż ją znienawidzi, wypisze jej list rozwodowy, wręczy go jej i odprawi ją ze swego domu, albo jeśli umrze ten drugi mąż, który pojął ją za żonę;
But if the latter husband hate her, and write her a scroll of divorcement and put it into her hand, and send her away out of his house, —or, if the latter husband die, who had taken her to him to wife,
4 To ten pierwszy mąż, który ją odprawił, nie będzie mógł powtórnie pojąć jej za żonę, gdyż jest ona splugawiona; to bowiem jest obrzydliwością przed PANEM. Nie dopuszczaj do popełnienia takiego grzechu w ziemi, którą PAN, twój Bóg, daje ci w dziedzictwo.
then may her first husband who sent her away not again take her to become his wife after that she hath been defiled, for that were an abomination, before Yahweh, —lest thou bring sin upon the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee for an inheritance.
5 Mężczyzna, który niedawno się ożenił, nie pójdzie na wojnę ani nie będzie obciążony żadnym obowiązkiem pracy. Będzie wolny w swym domu przez jeden rok i będzie cieszyć się swoją żoną, którą pojął.
When a man taketh a new wife, he shall not go forth to war, neither shall he be charged with any business, —free, shall he be for his own house one year, and shall rejoice with his wife whom he hath taken.
6 Nikt nie weźmie w zastaw kamienia młyńskiego górnego ani dolnego, gdyż to brałby [jakby] jego życie w zastaw.
No man shall take in pledge a handmill, or an upper millstone, —for he would be taking life, in pledge.
7 Jeśli znajdzie się człowiek, który porwał kogoś ze swych braci, z synów Izraela, i handluje nim lub go sprzedał, to ten złodziej poniesie śmierć; tak usuniesz zło spośród siebie.
When a man is found stealing any person from among his brethren of the sons of Israel, and making merchandise of him, or selling him, then shall that thief die, so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst.
8 Uważaj na plagę trądu, aby pilnie przestrzegać i czynić wszystko, czego was uczą kapłani Lewici. Dopilnujcie wypełnienia tego, co im nakazałem.
Take heed, in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do, —according to all that the priests the Levites shall direct you, as I have commanded them, so shall ye observe to do.
9 Pamiętaj o tym, co PAN, twój Bóg, uczynił Miriam w drodze, gdy wyszliście z Egiptu.
Remember that which Yahweh thy God did to Miriam, —by the way, as ye came forth out of Egypt.
10 Gdy coś pożyczysz swemu bliźniemu, nie wchodź do jego domu, aby wziąć od niego zastaw.
When thou lendest thy neighbour a loan of anything, thou shalt not enter into his house to secure his pledge:
11 Będziesz stał na dworze, a człowiek, któremu pożyczyłeś, wyniesie do ciebie zastaw przed dom.
outside, shalt thou stand, and the man to whom thou art lending, shall bring forth unto thee his pledge outside,
12 A jeśli ten człowiek jest ubogi, nie położysz się spać z jego zastawem.
And, if he be a poor man, thou shalt not sleep in his pledge:
13 Koniecznie zwrócisz mu zastaw o zachodzie słońca, żeby mógł spać w swojej odzieży i błogosławić cię. To zostanie ci poczytane za sprawiedliwość przed PANEM, twoim Bogiem.
thou shalt, restore, to him the pledge at the going in of the sun, so shall he sleep in his own mantle, and bless thee, —and, unto thee, shall it be righteousness before Yahweh thy God.
14 Nie wyrządzisz krzywdy ubogiemu i nędznemu najemnikowi spośród swoich braci lub obcych, którzy są w twojej ziemi, w obrębie twoich bram.
Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, —of thy brethren or of thy sojourners that are in thy land, within thy gates;
15 Tego samego dnia dasz mu jego zapłatę, przed zachodem słońca. Jest bowiem ubogi i z tego się żywi; by nie wołał do PANA przeciwko tobie, a to obciążyło cię grzechem.
for his day, shalt thou give his hire neither shall the sun, go in upon it, for, poor, he is, and, unto it, is he lifting up his soul, —lest he cry out against thee, unto Yahweh, and it be, in thee a sin.
16 Ojcowie nie poniosą śmierci za dzieci ani dzieci nie poniosą śmierci za ojców. Każdy za swój grzech poniesie śmierć.
Fathers shall not be put to death for sons, nor shall sons, be put to death for fathers, —every man, for his own sin, shall he put to death.
17 Nie naginaj sądu obcego ani sieroty i nie bierz w zastaw odzieży wdowy;
Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the sojourner [or] the fatherless, —neither shalt thou take in pledge the garment of a widow;
18 Ale pamiętaj, że byłeś niewolnikiem w Egipcie i że PAN, twój Bóg, wybawił cię stamtąd. Dlatego nakazuję ci, abyś to czynił.
so shalt thou remember that, a servant, becamest thou in Egypt, and that Yahweh thy God, redeemed thee, from thence, —therefore, am I commanding thee to do this thing.
19 Gdy będziesz żął zboże na swoim polu i zapomnisz snopka na polu, to nie wracaj, aby go wziąć. Będzie to dla obcego, sieroty i wdowy, aby ci błogosławił PAN, twój Bóg, w każdym dziele twoich rąk.
When thou cuttest down thy harvest in thy field and forgettest a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not turn back to fetch it, to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, shall it belong, —that Yahweh thy God, may bless thee, in all the Work of thy hands.
20 Gdy będziesz otrząsał swoje drzewo oliwne, nie przeglądaj drugi raz gałązek. Będzie to dla obcego, sieroty i wdowy.
When thou beatest thine olive-tree, thou shalt not glean after thee, —to the sojourner to the fatherless and to the widow, shall it belong,
21 Gdy będziesz zbierał winogrona ze swojej winnicy, nie zbieraj pozostałych gron. Będzie to dla obcego, sieroty i wdowy.
When thou cuttest off the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not go about picking after thee, —to the sojourner to the fatherless and to the widow, shall it belong:
22 I pamiętaj, że byłeś niewolnikiem w ziemi Egiptu. Dlatego nakazuję ci, abyś to czynił.
so shalt thou remember that a servant, becamest thou in the land of Egypt, —therefore, am I commending thee to do this thing.
