1 W tym czasie PAN powiedział do mnie: Wyciosaj sobie dwie tablice kamienne podobne do pierwszych i wstąp do mnie na górę; uczyń też drewnianą arkę.
At that time, said Yahweh unto me—Cut thee out two tables of stone like the first, and come up unto me into the mountain, —and make thee an ark of wood;
2 A napiszę na tych tablicach słowa, które były na pierwszych tablicach, które rozbiłeś; potem włożysz je do arki.
that I may write, upon the tables, the words which were on the first tables which thou brakest in pieces, —then shalt thou put them in the ark.
3 Uczyniłem więc arkę z drewna akacjowego i wyciosałem dwie tablice kamienne podobne do pierwszych, i wstąpiłem na górę, trzymając w rękach dwie tablice.
So I made an ark of acacia wood, and cut out two tables of stone like the first, —and went up the mountain, having the two tables in my hand.
4 I PAN napisał na tych tablicach takie pismo jak poprzednio, dziesięć przykazań, które PAN wypowiedział do was na górze spośród ognia w dniu zgromadzenia. I dał mi je PAN.
And he wrote upon the tables according to the first writing—the ten words, which Yahweh had spoken unto you in the mountain, out of the midst of the fire in the day of the convocation, —and Yahweh delivered them unto me.
5 Potem zawróciłem i zszedłem z góry, i włożyłem tablice do arki, którą uczyniłem, i tam się znajdują, tak jak PAN mi rozkazał.
Then turned I, and came down out of the mountain, and put the tables in the ark which I had made, —and they have remained there, as Yahweh commanded me.
6 Wtedy synowie Izraela wyruszyli od Beerot należącego do synów Jaakana do Mosery. Tam umarł Aaron i tam został pogrzebany. A jego syn Eleazar sprawował urząd kapłański w jego miejsce.
And, the sons of Israel, set forward out of Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah, —there, died Aaron and was buried there, and Eleazar his son became priest in his stead.
7 Stamtąd wyruszyli do Gudgody, a z Gudgody do Jotbata, do ziemi potoków wód.
From thence, set they forward unto the Gudgodah, —and from the Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of torrents of water.
8 W tym czasie PAN oddzielił pokolenie Lewiego do noszenia arki przymierza PANA, do stawania przed PANEM, by mu służyć i błogosławić w jego imię aż do dziś.
At that time, did Yahweh separate the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, —to stand before Yahweh to wait upon him and to bless in his name (until this day).
9 Dlatego [pokolenie] Lewiego nie ma działu ani dziedzictwa wśród swoich braci; PAN jest jego dziedzictwem, jak mu powiedział PAN, twój Bóg.
For this cause, hath Levi neither portion nor inheritance with his brethren, —Yahweh, is his inheritance, as Yahweh thy God spake unto him.
10 A ja pozostałem na górze, jak poprzednio, czterdzieści dni i czterdzieści nocy; także tym razem PAN mnie wysłuchał i nie chciał cię wytępić PAN.
But, I, stayed in the mountain according to the former days, forty days and forty nights, —and Yahweh hearkened unto me at that time also, Yahweh was not willing, to destroy thee.
11 Potem PAN powiedział do mnie: Wstań, wyrusz przed tym ludem, żeby weszli i posiedli ziemię, którą poprzysiągłem dać ich ojcom.
So then Yahweh said unto me, Up with thee—to break away onward, before the people, —that they may enter in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers, to give unto them.
12 Teraz więc, Izraelu, czego żąda od ciebie PAN, twój Bóg? Tylko tego, abyś się bał PANA, swego Boga, abyś chodził wszystkimi jego drogami i abyś go miłował, i służył PANU, swemu Bogu, z całego swego serca i całą swoją duszą;
Now, therefore, O Israel, what is, Yahweh thy God, asking of thee, —but to revere Yahweh thy God to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Yahweh thy God, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul:
13 Abyś przestrzegał przykazań PANA i jego nakazów, które ja ci dziś nakazuję dla twojego dobra.
to keep the commandments of Yahweh and his statutes, which I am commanding thee to-day, —for thy good?
14 Oto do PANA, twego Boga, należą niebiosa, niebiosa niebios, ziemia i wszystko, co [jest] na niej.
Lo! unto Yahweh thy God, belong the heavens even the highest heavens, —the earth, with all that is therein.
15 Jednak PAN upodobał sobie twoich ojców i umiłował ich, i wybrał ich potomstwo po nich, [czyli] was, ze wszystkich narodów, jak [to jest] dzisiaj.
Only unto thy fathers, Yahweh became attached so as to love them, —therefore made he choice of their seed after them—of you—out of all the peoples, (as at this day).
16 Obrzeżcie więc nieobrzezanie swojego serca i nie zatwardzajcie już swojego karku.
Therefore must ye circumcise the foreskin of your hearts, —and your necks, must ye stiffen no more.
17 Gdyż PAN, wasz Bóg, jest Bogiem bogów i PANEM panów, Bogiem wielkim, potężnym i straszliwym, który nie ma względu na osoby i nie przyjmuje darów.
For as touching Yahweh your God, he, is God of gods, and Lord of lords; the great the mighty, and the fearful GOD, who respecteth not persons, nor accepteth a bribe;
18 On wymierza sprawiedliwość sierocie i wdowie i miłuje przybysza, dając mu chleb i odzież.
executing the vindication of the orphan and the widow, —and loving a sojourner, giving him food and raiment.
19 Miłujcie więc [i wy] przybysza, bo sami byliście przybyszami w ziemi Egiptu.
Therefore shall ye love the sojourner, —for sojourners, became ye in the land of Egypt.
20 Będziesz się bał PANA, swego Boga, jemu będziesz służył, do niego będziesz lgnąć i na jego imię będziesz przysięgał.
Yahweh thy God, shalt thou revere, Him, shalt thou serve, —And unto him, shalt thou cleave, And in his name, shalt thou swear.
21 On jest twoją chwałą i twoim Bogiem, który uczynił dla ciebie wielkie i straszliwe rzeczy, które widziały twoje oczy.
He, is thy song of praise, And, he, thy God, —who hath done with thee these great and fearful things, which thine own eyes have seen.
22 W liczbie siedemdziesięciu dusz zeszli twoi ojcowie do Egiptu, a teraz PAN, twój Bóg, uczynił cię [tak] licznym jak gwiazdy niebieskie.
As seventy souls, went thy fathers down to Egypt, —and, now, Yahweh thy God hath made thee like the stars of the heavens for multitude.
