1 W tym czasie powstanie Michał, wielki książę, który wstawia się za synami twego ludu. Nastanie czas ucisku, jakiego nie było, odkąd narody zaczęły istnieć aż do tego czasu. W tym czasie twój lud zostanie wybawiony, każdy, kto znajdzie się zapisany w księdze.
And, at that time, will Michael, the great ruler who standeth for the sons of thy people, make a stand, and there will be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, up to that time, —and, at that time, shall thy people, be delivered, every one found written in the book;
2 A wielu z tych, którzy śpią w prochu ziemi, obudzi się, jedni do życia wiecznego, a drudzy ku hańbie [i] wiecznej pogardzie.
and, many of the sleepers in the dusty ground, shall awake, —these, [shall be] to age-abiding life, but, those, to reproach, and age-abiding abhorrence;
3 Ci, którzy są mądrzy, będą świecić jak blask firmamentu, a ci, którzy [przyprowadzili] wielu do sprawiedliwości – jak gwiazdy na wieki wieków.
and, they who make wise, shall shine like the shining of the expanse, —and, they who bring the many to righteousness, like the stars to times age-abiding and beyond.
4 Ale ty Danielu zamknij te słowa i zapieczętuj tę księgę aż do czasu ostatecznego. Wielu będzie przebiegać, a pomnoży się wiedza.
But, thou, Daniel, close up the words, and seal the book, until the time of the end, —many will run to and fro, and knowledge, shall abound.
5 I ja, Daniel, spojrzałem, a oto stało dwóch innych, jeden na brzegu rzeki po tej stronie, a drugi na brzegu rzeki po tamtej stronie.
Then, I, Daniel, looked, and lo! two others, standing, —one on this side of the bank of the river, and one on that side of the bank of the river.
6 [Jeden] powiedział do męża odzianego w lnianą szatę, który [stał] nad wodami rzeki: Kiedy będzie koniec [tych] dziwnych rzeczy?
And one said to the man clothed with linen, who was upon the waters of the river, How long shall be the end of the wonders?
7 I usłyszałem tego męża odzianego w lnianą szatę, który [stał] nad wodami rzeki. Podniósł swoją prawą i lewą rękę do nieba i przysiągł na Żyjącego na wieki, że [będzie to] na czas, czasy i połowę czasu. I gdy doszczętnie rozproszy siłę świętego ludu, [wtedy] to się wszystko wypełni.
And I heard the man clothed with linen who was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left unto the heavens, and sware by him that liveth unto times age-abiding, —For a set time and times and a half, and, when the dispersion of a part of the holy people, is brought to an end, then shall come to an end all these things.
8 Ja [to] usłyszałem, ale nie zrozumiałem, więc zapytałem: Mój Panie, jaki będzie koniec tych rzeczy?
And, I, heard, but could not understand, —so I said, O my lord! what shall be the issue of these things?
9 Wtedy odpowiedział: Idź, Danielu, bo te słowa są zamknięte i zapieczętowane aż do czasu ostatecznego.
Then said he, Go thy way, Daniel; for closed up and sealed are the words, until the time of the end.
10 Wielu będzie oczyszczonych, wybielonych i doświadczonych, ale bezbożni będą postępować bezbożnie. Żaden bezbożny nie zrozumie, ale mądrzy zrozumieją.
Many, will purify themselves and be made white and be refined, but the lawless, will act lawlessly, and none of the lawless, shall understand, —but, they who make wise, shall understand;
11 A od tego czasu, kiedy zostanie zniesiona [ofiara] codzienna i będzie postawiona obrzydliwość spustoszenia, [upłynie] tysiąc dwieście dziewięćdziesiąt dni.
and, from the time of the taking away of the continual [ascending-sacrifice], and the placing of the horrid abomination that astoundeth, [shall be] one thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Błogosławiony, kto doczeka i dojdzie do tysiąca trzystu trzydziestu pięciu dni.
Happy! is he that waiteth, and attaineth to one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
13 Ale ty idź swoją drogą do końca. Odpoczniesz i pozostaniesz w swoim losie przy końcu dni.
But, thou, go thy way to the end, —and thou shalt rest, and shalt rise to thy lot at the end of the days.
