II Tesaloniczan 1

1 Paweł, Sylwan i Tymoteusz do kościoła Tesaloniczan, [który jest] w Bogu, naszym Ojcu, i Panu Jezusie Chrystusie.

Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ;

2 Łaska wam i pokój od Boga, naszego Ojca, i Pana Jezusa Chrystusa.

Grace to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Bracia, powinniśmy zawsze dziękować Bogu za was, co jest rzeczą słuszną, bo bardzo wzrasta wasza wiara i u każdego z was pomnaża się wzajemna miłość;

We are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, even as it is meet, for that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all toward one another aboundeth;

4 Tak że i my sami chlubimy się wami w kościołach Bożych z [powodu] waszej cierpliwości i wiary we wszystkich waszych prześladowaniach i uciskach, które znosicie.

so that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which ye endure;

5 [Są one] dowodem sprawiedliwego sądu Boga, abyście byli uznani za godnych królestwa Bożego, za które też cierpicie.

[which is] a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God; to the end that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

6 Ponieważ jest [rzeczą] sprawiedliwą u Boga, żeby odpłacić uciskiem tym, którzy was uciskają;

if so be that it is a righteous thing with God to recompense affliction to them that afflict you,

7 A wam, uciśnionym, [dać] odpoczynek wraz z nami, gdy z nieba objawi się Pan Jezus z aniołami swojej mocy;

and to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of his power in flaming fire,

8 W ogniu płomienistym wywierając zemstę na tych, którzy Boga nie znają i nie są posłuszni ewangelii naszego Pana Jezusa Chrystusa.

rendering vengeance to them that know not God, and to them that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus:

9 Poniosą oni karę, wieczne zatracenie od oblicza Pana i od chwały jego mocy; (aiōnios g166)

who shall suffer punishment, [even] eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might, (aiōnios g166)

10 Gdy przyjdzie, aby był uwielbiony w swoich świętych i podziwiany w tym dniu przez wszystkich wierzących, ponieważ wśród was uwierzono naszemu świadectwu.

when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be marvelled at in all them that believed (because our testimony unto you was believed) in that day.

11 Dlatego też nieustannie modlimy się za was, aby nasz Bóg uznał was za godnych tego powołania i wypełnił wszelkie upodobanie [swojej] dobroci i dzieła wiary w mocy;

To which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfil every desire of goodness and [every] work of faith, with power;

12 Aby imię naszego Pana Jezusa Chrystusa zostało uwielbione w was, a wy w nim, według łaski naszego Boga i Pana Jezusa Chrystusa.

that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
