II Królewska 12
1 W siódmym roku Jehu zaczął królować Jehoasz i królował czterdzieści lat w Jerozolimie. Jego matka miała na imię Sibia, [była] z Beer-Szeby.
Joas regnede in the seuenthe yeer of Hieu; Joas regnede fourti yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Sebia of Bersabee.

4 I Jehoasz powiedział do kapłanów: Wszystkie pieniądze z ofiar poświęconych, które przynoszone są do domu PANA, pieniądze tych, którzy są spisani, pieniądze każdego według jego oszacowania i wszystkie pieniądze, które ktokolwiek dobrowolnie wnosi do domu PANA;
And Joas seide to the preestis, `Preestis bi her ordre take al that money of hooli thingis, which is brouyt of men passyng forth in to the temple of the Lord, `which money is offrid for the prijs of soule, and `which money thei bryngen wilfuli, and bi the fredom of her herte, in to the temple of the Lord.
5 Niech wezmą dla siebie kapłani, każdy od swego znajomego, i niech naprawią szkody domu [PANA], gdziekolwiek taka szkoda się znajdzie.
And `the preestis reparele the hilyngis of the hows, if thei seen ony thing nedeful in reparelyng.
6 Lecz jeszcze w dwudziestym trzecim roku króla Jehoasza kapłani nie naprawili szkód domu.
Therfor the preestis repareliden not the hilyngis of the temple, `til to the thre and twentithe yeer of kyng Joas.
7 Wtedy król Jehoasz wezwał kapłana Jehojadę oraz [pozostałych] kapłanów i mówił do nich: Czemu nie naprawiacie szkód domu? Teraz więc nie bierzcie pieniędzy od swoich znajomych, ale oddajcie je na [naprawę] szkód domu.
And Joas, the kyng, clepide Joiada, the bischop, and the prestis, and seide to hem, Whi han ye not reparelid the hilyngis of the temple? Therfor nyle ye more take money bi youre ordre, but yelde it to the reparacioun of the temple.
8 I kapłani zgodzili się na to, aby nie brać pieniędzy od ludu, oraz [na to], że nie będą naprawiali szkód domu.
And the prestis weren forbodun to take more the money of the puple, and to reparele the hilyngis of the hows.
9 Wtedy kapłan Jehojada wziął jedną skrzynię, zrobił otwór w jej wieku i postawił ją przy ołtarzu po prawej stronie, którędy wchodzono do domu PANA. Kapłani zaś, którzy strzegli progu, wrzucali tam wszystkie pieniądze, które wnoszono do domu PANA.
And Joiada, the bischop, took a cofere of tresorie, and openyde an hole aboue, and settide it bisidis the auter, at the riytside of men entrynge in to the hows of the Lord; and preestis, that kepten the doris, senten in it al the money that was brouyt to the temple of the Lord.
10 A gdy widzieli, że w skrzyni było dużo pieniędzy, przychodził pisarz króla i najwyższy kapłan, którzy liczyli i chowali pieniądze znajdujące się w domu PANA.
And whanne thei sien that ful myche money was in the tresorie, the scryuen of the kyng and the bischop stieden, and schedden it out, and thei noumbriden the money that was founden in the hous of the Lord.
11 I odważone pieniądze dawali do rąk kierowników robót, przełożonych nad domem PANA. Ci zaś wydawali je na cieśli i budowniczych, którzy naprawiali dom PANA;
And thei yauen it bi noumbre and mesure in the hond of hem, that weren souereyns to the masouns of the hows of the Lord, whiche `spendiden that money in `crafti men of trees, and in these masouns, that wrouyten in the hous of the Lord,
12 Na murarzy, na kamieniarzy, na kupno drewna i ciosanych kamieni do naprawy szkód w domu PANA i na wszelkie inne wydatki związane z naprawą tego domu.
and maden the hilyngis, and in these men that hewiden stoonys; and that thei schulden bie trees and stoonys, that weren hewid doun; so that the reparacioun of the hows of the Lord was fillid in alle thingis, that nediden cost to make strong the hows.
13 Jednakże z pieniędzy, które przynoszono do domu PANA, nie sporządzono dla domu PANA srebrnych mis, nożyc, czasz, trąb ani żadnych złotych i srebrnych naczyń;
Netheles water pottis of the temple of the Lord weren not maad of the same money, and fleischokis, and censeris, and trumpis; ech vessel of gold and of siluer weren not maad of the money, that was brouyt in to the temple of the Lord.
14 Lecz dawano je robotnikom, którzy naprawiali za nie dom PANA.
For it was youun to hem that maden werk, that the temple of the Lord schulde be reparelid.
15 I nie rozliczano ludzi, którym dawano pieniądze do ręki na opłacenie robotników, ponieważ postępowali uczciwie.
And rekenyng was not maad to these men that token monei, that thei schulden deele it to crafti men; but thei tretiden it in feith.
16 Lecz pieniędzy z ofiar za występek i pieniędzy z ofiar za grzech nie wnoszono do domu PANA, [lecz] należały do kapłanów.
Sotheli thei brouyten not in to the temple of the Lord the money for trespas, and the money for synnes, for it was the preestis.
17 Wtedy Chazael, król Syrii, wyruszył, aby walczyć z Gat i zdobył je. Potem Chazael postanowił wyruszyć przeciw Jerozolimie.
Thanne Asael, kyng of Sirie, stiede, and fauyte ayen Geth; and he took it, and dresside his face, that he schulde stie in to Jerusalem.
18 Jehoasz, król Judy, wziął więc wszystkie rzeczy poświęcone, które poświęcili Jehoszafat, Joram i Achazjasz, jego ojcowie, królowie Judy, i to, co sam poświęcił, oraz całe złoto, które znalazło się w skarbcach domu PANA i domu króla, i posłał [to] do Chazaela, króla Syrii. 21 Jozachar, syn Szimeata, i Jozabad, syn Szomera, byli właśnie tymi sługami, którzy zabili go. A pogrzebali go z jego ojcami w mieście Dawida, a jego syn Amazjasz królował w jego miejsce.
