II Koryntian 3
1 Czy znowu zaczynamy polecać samych siebie? Albo czy potrzebujemy, jak niektórzy, [listów] polecających do was albo od was?
Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you?
2 Naszym listem wy jesteście, napisanym w naszych sercach, znanym i czytanym przez wszystkich ludzi.
You yourselves are our letter, inscribed on our hearts, known and read by everyone.
3 Gdyż wiadomo, że jesteście listem Chrystusowym sporządzonym przez nasze posługiwanie, napisanym nie atramentem, lecz Duchem Boga żywego, nie na tablicach kamiennych, lecz na żywych tablicach serc.
It is clear that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
4 A taką ufność mamy przez Chrystusa ku Bogu.
Such confidence before God is ours through Christ.
5 Nie żebyśmy sami z siebie byli w stanie pomyśleć coś jakby z samych siebie, lecz nasza możność jest z Boga.
Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim that anything comes from us, but our competence comes from God.
6 On też uczynił nas zdolnymi sługami nowego testamentu, nie litery, ale Ducha; litera bowiem zabija, Duch zaś ożywia.
And He has qualified us as ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
7 Lecz jeśli posługiwanie śmierci, wyryte literami na kamieniach, było pełne chwały, tak że synowie Izraela nie mogli wpatrywać się w oblicze Mojżesza z powodu chwały jego oblicza, która miała przeminąć;
Now if the ministry of death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at the face of Moses because of its fleeting glory,
8 To o ileż bardziej pełne chwały nie miałoby być posługiwanie Ducha?
will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?
9 Jeśli bowiem posługiwanie potępienia [było] pełne chwały, o ileż bardziej obfituje w chwałę posługiwanie sprawiedliwości.
For if the ministry of condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry of righteousness!
10 To bowiem, co miało chwałę, nie miało chwały w porównaniu z tą przewyższającą chwałą.
Indeed, what was once glorious has no glory now in comparison to the glory that surpasses it.
11 Jeśli zaś to, co przemija, [było] pełne chwały, tym bardziej pełne chwały jest to, co trwa.
For if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which endures!
12 Mając więc taką nadzieję, z całą otwartością mówimy;
Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.
13 A nie jak Mojżesz, [który] kładł sobie na twarz zasłonę, aby synowie Izraela nie wpatrywali się w koniec tego, co miało przeminąć.
We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at the end of what was fading away.
14 Lecz ich umysły zostały zaślepione; aż do dziś bowiem przy czytaniu Starego Testamentu ta sama zasłona pozostaje nieodsłonięta, gdyż jest usuwana w Chrystusie.
But their minds were closed. For to this day the same veil remains at the reading of the old covenant. It has not been lifted, because only in Christ can it be removed.
15 I aż do dziś, gdy Mojżesz jest czytany, zasłona leży na ich sercu.
And even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts.
16 Gdy jednak nawrócą się do Pana, zasłona zostanie zdjęta.
But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
17 Pan zaś jest tym Duchem, a gdzie jest Duch Pana, tam i wolność.
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
18 Lecz my wszyscy, którzy z odsłoniętą twarzą patrzymy na chwałę Pana, [jakby] w zwierciadle, zostajemy przemienieni w ten sam obraz, z chwały w chwałę, za sprawą Ducha Pana.
And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
