I Jana 3
1 Patrzcie, jaką miłością obdarzył nas Ojciec, że zostaliśmy nazwani dziećmi Bożymi. Dlatego świat nas nie zna, bo jego nie zna.
Behold, what loue the Father hath giuen to vs, that we should be called the sonnes of God: for this cause this world knoweth you not, because it knoweth not him.
2 Umiłowani, teraz jesteśmy dziećmi Bożymi, ale jeszcze się nie objawiło, czym będziemy. Wiemy jednak, że gdy [on] się objawi, będziemy podobni do niego, gdyż ujrzymy go takim, jakim jest.
Dearely beloued, nowe are we the sonnes of God, but yet it is not made manifest what we shall be: and we know that when he shalbe made manifest, we shalbe like him: for we shall see him as he is.
3 A każdy, kto pokłada w nim tę nadzieję, oczyszcza się, jak i on jest czysty.
And euery man that hath this hope in him, purgeth himselfe, euen as he is pure.
4 Każdy, kto popełnia grzech, przekracza też prawo, ponieważ grzech jest przekroczeniem prawa.
Whosoeuer committeth sinne, transgresseth also the Law: for sinne is the transgression of the Lawe.
5 A wiecie, że on się objawił, aby zgładzić nasze grzechy, a w nim nie ma grzechu.
And ye knowe that hee was made manifest, that he might take away our sinnes, and in him is no sinne.
6 Każdy [więc], kto w nim trwa, nie grzeszy. Każdy, kto grzeszy, nie widział go ani go nie poznał.
Whosoeuer abideth in him, sinneth not: whosoeuer sinneth, hath not seene him, neither hath knowen him.
7 Dzieci, niech was nikt nie zwodzi. Kto czyni sprawiedliwość, jest sprawiedliwy, tak jak [i] on jest sprawiedliwy.
Litle children, let no man deceiue you: he that doeth righteousnes, is righteous, as hee is righteous.
8 Kto popełnia grzech, jest z diabła, gdyż diabeł od początku grzeszy. Po to objawił się Syn Boży, aby zniszczyć dzieła diabła.
He that comitteth sinne, is of the deuil: for the deuill sinneth from the beginning: for this purpose was made manifest that Sonne of God, that he might loose the workes of the deuil.
9 Każdy, kto się narodził z Boga, nie popełnia grzechu, bo jego nasienie w nim pozostaje i nie może grzeszyć, gdyż narodził się z Boga.
Whosoeuer is borne of God, sinneth not: for his seede remaineth in him, neither can hee sinne, because he is borne of God.
10 Po tym poznaje się dzieci Boże i dzieci diabła: Każdy, kto nie czyni sprawiedliwości, nie jest z Boga, [jak] i ten, kto nie miłuje swego brata.
In this are the children of God knowen, and the children of the deuil: whosoeuer doeth not righteousnesse, is not of God, neither he that loueth not his brother.
11 To jest przesłanie, które słyszeliście od początku, że mamy się wzajemnie miłować.
For this is the message, that ye heard from the beginning, that we should loue one another,
12 Nie jak Kain, [który] pochodził od złego i zabił swego brata. A dlaczego go zabił? Bo jego uczynki były złe, a jego brata sprawiedliwe.
Not as Cain which was of that wicked one, and slewe his brother: and wherefore slewe he him? because his owne workes were euill, and his brothers good.
13 Nie dziwcie się, moi bracia, jeśli świat was nienawidzi.
Marueile not, my brethren, though this world hate you.
14 My wiemy, że przeszliśmy ze śmierci do życia, bo miłujemy braci. Kto nie miłuje brata, pozostaje w śmierci.
We know that we are translated from death vnto life, because we loue the brethren: he that loueth not his brother, abideth in death.
15 Każdy, kto nienawidzi swego brata, jest mordercą, a wiecie, że żaden morderca nie ma życia wiecznego zostającego w sobie. (aiōnios g166)
Whosoeuer hateth his brother, is a manslayer: and ye know that no manslayer hath eternall life abiding in him. (aiōnios g166)
16 Po tym poznaliśmy miłość [Boga], że on oddał za nas swoje życie. My również powinniśmy oddawać życie za braci.
Hereby haue we perceiued loue, that he layde downe his life for vs: therefore we ought also to lay downe our liues for the brethren.
17 A kto miałby majętność tego świata i widziałby swego brata w potrzebie, a zamknąłby przed nim swoje serce, jakże może mieszkać w nim miłość Boga?
And whosoeuer hath this worlds good, and seeth his brother haue neede, and shutteth vp his compassion from him, howe dwelleth the loue of God in him?
18 Moje dzieci, nie miłujmy słowem ani językiem, ale uczynkiem i prawdą.
My litle children, let vs not loue in worde, neither in tongue onely, but in deede and in trueth.
19 Po tym poznamy, że jesteśmy z prawdy i uspokoimy przed nim nasze serca.
For thereby we know that we are of the trueth, and shall before him assure our hearts.
20 Bo jeśli nasze serce nas potępia, Bóg jest większy niż nasze serce i wie wszystko.
For if our heart condemne vs, God is greater then our heart, and knoweth all things.
21 Umiłowani, jeśli nasze serce nas nie potępia, mamy ufność ku Bogu;
Beloued, if our heart condemne vs not, then haue we boldnes toward God.
22 I o cokolwiek prosimy, otrzymujemy od niego, bo zachowujemy jego przykazania i robimy to, co miłe w jego oczach.
And whatsoeuer we aske we receiue of him, because we keepe his commandements, and do those things which are pleasing in his sight.
23 A to jest jego przykazanie, abyśmy wierzyli w imię jego Syna, Jezusa Chrystusa, i miłowali się wzajemnie, jak nam przykazał.
This is then his commandement, That we beleeue in the Name of his Sonne Iesus Christ, and loue one another as hee gaue commandement.
24 Bo kto zachowuje jego przykazania, mieszka w nim, a on w nim. A wiemy, że w nas mieszka, przez Ducha, którego nam dał.
For hee that keepeth his commandements, dwelleth in him, and he in him: and hereby we knowe that hee abideth in vs, euen by that Spirit which he hath giuen vs.
