I Kronik 5
1 Synowie Rubena, pierworodnego Izraela. Był on pierworodnym, ale ponieważ zbezcześcił łoże swego ojca, jego pierworództwo zostało dane synom Józefa, syna Izraela. Nie spisano więc rodowodu według pierworództwa.
And the sons of Ruben the firstborn of Israel (for he [was] the firstborn; but because of his going up to his father's couch, [his father] gave his blessing to his son Joseph, [even] the son of Israel; and he was not reckoned as firstborn;
2 Juda bowiem był najpotężniejszy wśród swoich braci i od niego pochodził władca, lecz pierworództwo [należało] do Józefa.
for Judas [was] very mighty even among his brethren, and one was to be a ruler out of him: but the blessing [was] Joseph's).
3 Synami Rubena, pierworodnego Izraela, [byli]: Henoch, Pallu, Chesron i Karmi.
The sons of Ruben the firstborn of Israel; Enoch, and Phallus, Asrom, and Charmi.
4 Synowie Joela: jego syn Szemajasz, jego syn Gog, jego syn Szimei;
The sons of Joel; Semei, and Banaia his son: and the sons of Gug the son of Semei.
5 Jego syn Micheasz, jego syn Reajasz, jego syn Baal;
His son [was] Micha, his son Recha, his son Joel,
6 Jego syn Beera, którego Tiglat-Pileser, król Asyrii, wziął do niewoli. On był księciem Rubenitów.
his son Beel, whom Thagla-phallasar king of Assyria carried away captive: he [is] the chief of the Rubenites.
7 Jego braćmi według swoich rodzin, gdy spisywano rodowody ich pokoleń, [byli] naczelnicy: Jejel, Zachariasz;
And his brethren in his family, in their distribution according to their generations; the chief, Joel, and Zacharia.
8 I Bela, syn Azaza, syna Szemy, syna Joela, który zamieszkiwał w Aroerze aż po Nebo i Baal-Meon.
And Balec the son of Azuz, the son of Sama, the son of Joel: he lived in Aroer, and even to Naban, and Beelmasson.
9 A na wschodzie zamieszkiwał aż do wejścia na pustkowie od rzeki Eufrat. Ich stada bowiem pomnożyły się w ziemi Gilead.
And he lived eastward to the borders of the wilderness, from the river Euphrates: for they had much cattle in the land of Galaad.
10 Za czasów Saula prowadzili wojnę z Hagrytami, którzy zostali przez nich pokonani. Zamieszkali więc w ich namiotach w całej wschodniej [części] Gileadu.
And in the days of Saul they made war upon the sojourners [in the land]; and they fell into their hands, all of them dwelling in their tents eastward of Galaad.
11 A synowie Gada mieszkali naprzeciw nich w ziemi Baszanu, aż [do] Salka.
The sons of Gad lived over against them in the land of Basan even to Sela.
12 Joel [był] zwierzchnikiem, potem Szafam, następnie Janaj i Szafat w Baszanie.
Joel the firstborn, and Sapham the second, and Janin the scribe in Basan.
13 A ich braćmi według domów swoich ojców [byli]: Mikael, Meszullam, Szeba, Joraj, Jakan, Zija i Eber – siedmiu.
And their brethren according to the houses of their fathers; Michael, Mosollam, and Sebee, and Joree, and Joachan, and Zue, and Obed, seven.
14 Ci są synami Abichaila, syna Churiego, syna Jaroacha, syna Gileada, syna Mikaela, syna Jesziszaja, syna Jachdo, syna Buza;
These [are] the sons of Abichaia the son of Uri, the son of Idai, the son of Galaad, the son of Michael, the son of Jesai, the son of Jeddai, the son of Buz,
15 Achi, syn Abdiela, syna Guniego – głowa domu ich ojców.
[who was] the brother of the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, [he was] chief of the house of their families.
16 I mieszkali w Gileadzie, w Baszanie, w jego miasteczkach i na wszystkich pastwiskach Szaronu aż po ich krańce.
They lived in Galaad, in Basan, and in their villages, and [in] all the country round about Saron to the border.
17 Wszyscy oni spisani zostali według rodowodów za czasów Jotama, króla Judy, i za czasów Jeroboama, króla Izraela.
The enumeration of [them] all took place in the days of Joatham king of Juda, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18 Synów Rubena i Gada oraz połowy pokolenia Manassesa, dzielnych wojowników zdolnych do noszenia tarczy i miecza i do strzelania z łuku i wyćwiczonych w boju, było czterdzieści cztery tysiące siedmiuset sześćdziesięciu wyruszających do bitwy.
The sons of Ruben and Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasse, of mighty men, bearing shields and sword, and bending the bow, and skilled in war, [were] forty and four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, going forth to battle.
19 Oni prowadzili wojnę z Hagrytami, z Jeturem, z Nafiszem i Nodabem;
And they made war with the Agarenes, and Itureans, and Naphiseans, and Nadabeans,
20 I otrzymali pomoc przeciwko nim. Wydano więc w ich ręce Hagrytów wraz ze wszystkimi, którzy z nimi byli. Podczas walki bowiem wołali do Boga, a [on] ich wysłuchał, bo pokładali w nim ufność.
and they prevailed against them: and the Agaraeans were given into their hands, [they] and all their tents: for they cried to God in the battle, and he listened to them, because they trusted on him.
21 I zabrali z ich stad: pięćdziesiąt tysięcy wielbłądów, dwieście pięćdziesiąt tysięcy owiec, dwa tysiące osłów, a ludzi – sto tysięcy.
And they took captive their store; five thousand camels, and two hundred and fifty thousand sheep, two thousand asses, and a hundred thousand men.
22 Wielu bowiem poległo, gdyż wojna ta [wyszła] od Boga. I mieszkali na ich miejscu aż do uprowadzenia do niewoli.
For many fell slain, because the war [was] of God. And they lived in their place until the captivity.
23 Ale synowie połowy pokolenia Manassesa mieszkali w tej ziemi i rozmnożyli się od Baszanu aż do Baal-Chermon i Seniru, i do góry Hermon.
And the half-tribe of Manasse lived from Basan to Baal, Ermon, and Sanir, and [to] the mount Aermon: and they increased in Libanus.
24 A oto [są] naczelnicy domów ich ojców: Efer, Jiszi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiasz, Hodawiasz i Jachdiel, dzielni wojownicy, ludzie sławni, naczelnicy domu swoich ojców.
And these were the heads of the houses of their families; Opher, and Sei, and Eliel, and Jeremia, and Oduia, and Jediel, mighty men of valour, men of renown, heads of the houses of their families.
25 Lecz zgrzeszyli przeciw Bogu swoich ojców i cudzołożyli, idąc za bogami narodów [tej] ziemi, które Bóg zniszczył przed nimi.
But they rebelled against the God of their fathers, and went a-whoring after the gods of the nations of the land, whom God cast out from before them.
26 Wtedy Bóg Izraela pobudził ducha Pula, króla Asyrii, i ducha Tiglat-Pilesera, króla Asyrii, i uprowadził Rubenitów i Gadytów oraz połowę pokolenia Manassesa i zaprowadził ich do Chalach, do Chabor, do Hara i do rzeki Gozan; [są tam] aż do dziś.
And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Phaloch king of Assyria, and the spirit of Thagla-phallasar king of Assyria, and carried away Ruben and Gaddi, and the half-tribe of Manasse, and brought them to Chaach, and Chabor, and to the river Gozan, until this day.
