I Kronik 12
1 Oto ci, którzy przyszli do Dawida w Siklag, gdy ukrywał się przed Saulem, synem Kisza. Należeli oni do dzielnych wojowników, którzy wspierali go w walce.
Now these, are they who came unto David, to Ziklag, he yet being shut up, because of Saul son of Kish, —and, they, were among the heroes, helpers in the war;
2 Byli uzbrojeni w łuki i [potrafili] prawą i lewą ręką [miotać] kamieniami i strzelać z łuku, [a wywodzili się] z braci Saula, z Beniamina.
armed with the bow, using right hand or left with stones, and with arrows in the bow, —of the brethren of Saul, out of Benjamin:
3 Naczelnikiem [był] Achiezer, potem Joasz, synowie Szemajasza Gibeatczyka, Jezjel i Pelet, synowie Azmaweta, Beraka i Jehu Anatotczyk;
the chief, Ahiezer, and Joash, sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite, and Jeziel and Pelet, sons of Azmaveth, —and Beracah, and Jehu the Anathothite;
4 I Jiszmaja Gibeonita, dzielny wojownik spośród trzydziestu i dowodzący trzydziestoma, Jeremiasz, Jachaziel, Jochanan i Jozabad Gederatyta;
and Ishmaiah, the Gibeonite, a hero among the thirty, and over the thirty, —and Jeremiah and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad, the Gederathite;
5 Eluzaj, Jerimot, Bealiasz, Szemariasz i Szefatiasz Charufita;
Eluzai and Jerimoth and Bealiah and Shemariah, and Shephatiah, the Haruphite;
6 Elkana, Jiszijasz, Azareel, Joezer i Jaszobam – Korachici;
Elkanah and Isshiah, and Azarel, and Joezer and Jashobeam, the Korahites;
7 Joela i Zebadiasz, synowie Jerochama z Gedoru.
and Joelah and Zebadiah, sons of Jeroham, of Gedor.
8 Z [pokolenia] Gada w warowni na pustyni do Dawida przyłączyli się dzielni wojownicy, żołnierze sprawni w boju, noszący tarczę i dzidę, ich twarze [były] jak twarze lwów, a [byli] zwinni jak sarny w górach;
And, of the Gadites, there separated themselves unto David, to the stronghold towards the desert, heroes of valour, men of war, for battle, men that could handle shield and spear, —and, faces of lions, were their faces, and, like gazelles upon the mountains, were they, for swiftness:
9 Ezer pierwszy, Obadiasz drugi, Eliab trzeci;
Ezer, the chief, Obadiah, the second, —Eliab, the third;
10 Miszmanna czwarty, Jeremiasz piąty;
Mashmannah, the fourth, Jeremiah, the fifth;
11 Attaj szósty, Eliel siódmy;
Attai, the sixth, Eliel the seventh;
12 Jochanan ósmy, Elzabad dziewiąty;
Johanan, the eighth, Elzabad, the ninth;
13 Jeremiasz dziesiąty, Makbanaj jedenasty.
Jeremiah, the tenth, Machbannai, the eleventh.
14 [Wywodzili się] oni z synów Gada, dowódcy wojska: najmniejszy był nad stu, a największy – nad tysiącem.
These, were of the sons of Gad, chiefs of the host, —one to a hundred, the least, and, the greatest, to a thousand.
15 To są ci, którzy przeszli przez Jordan w pierwszym miesiącu, kiedy wylał na wszystkie brzegi, i zmusili do ucieczki wszystkich [mieszkańców] dolin na wschód i na zachód.
These, are they who passed over the Jordan, in the first month, when, it, was full, over all its banks, —and they put to flight all them of the vales, to the east and to the west.
16 Do warowni do Dawida przyszli także [niektórzy] z synów Beniamina i Judy.
And there came, of the sons of Benjamin, and Judah, as far as the stronghold, unto David.
17 I Dawid wyszedł naprzeciw nich, i odpowiedział: Jeśli przyszliście do mnie w pokoju, aby mi pomóc, moje serce połączy się z wami. Lecz jeśli [przyszliście], aby mnie wydać moim wrogom, choć moje ręce są wolne od nieprawości, niech wejrzy w to Bóg naszych ojców i niech osądzi.
And David went forth to meet them, and responded, and said to them, If, peaceably, ye are come unto me, to help me, I shall have towards you, a heart for unity, —but, if to betray me to mine adversaries, there being no violence in my hands, may the God of our fathers see and rebuke!
18 Wtedy Duch ogarnął Amasaja, naczelnika dowódców, [i powiedział]: Jesteśmy twoi, Dawidzie, i [jesteśmy] z tobą, synu Jessego. Pokój, pokój tobie i pokój twoim pomocnikom! Gdyż tobie pomaga twój Bóg. Dawid więc przyjął ich i ustanowił dowódcami oddziałów.
Then, the spirit, clothed Amasai, chief of the thirty, Thine, O David, Yea, with, thee, O son of Jesse! Prosperity, prosperity to thee, And prosperity to thy helpers, For thy God, hath helped thee: So David accepted them, and set them among the chiefs of the band.
19 [Z pokolenia] Manassesa niektórzy przyłączyli się do Dawida, gdy wyruszył z Filistynami na wojnę przeciwko Saulowi. Lecz nie pomogli im, gdyż książęta Filistynów po naradzie odesłali go, mówiąc: Ten za cenę naszych głów wróci do swego pana Saula.
And, of Manasseh, there fell away unto David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle, but they helped them not, —for the lords of the Philistines advisedly sent him away, saying, At the price of our heads, he might fall away to his master, Saul.
20 Gdy szedł do Siklag, przyłączyli się do niego z Manassesa: Adnach, Jozabad, Jediael, Mikael, Jozabad, Elihu i Silletaj, dowódcy nad tysiącami w [pokoleniu] Manassesa.
When he went into Ziklag, there fell away unto him, of Manasseh, Adnah and Jozabad, and Jediael and Michael and Jozabad, and Elihu and Zillethai, —chiefs of the thousands that pertained to Manasseh;
21 Oni to pomogli Dawidowi przeciw bandzie, bo byli wszyscy dzielnymi wojownikami i dowódcami wojska.
and, they, helped with David, against the [marauding] band, for, heroes of valour, were they all, —and they became captains in the host;
22 W tym czasie dzień za dniem [ludzie] przybywali do Dawida, aby mu pomagać, aż [powstało] wielkie wojsko jak wojsko Boże.
for, from day to day, there came unto David, to help him, —until it was a great camp, like a camp of God.
23 A oto liczba oddziałów gotowych do boju, [które] przyszły do Dawida w Hebronie, aby przenieść na niego królestwo Saula zgodnie ze słowem PANA.
And, these, are the numbers of the chiefs armed for war, they came unto David, to Hebron, —to turn round the kingdom of Saul unto him, according to the bidding of Yahweh:
24 Z synów Judy, noszących tarczę i włócznię, sześć tysięcy ośmiuset uzbrojonych do boju.
Sons of Judah, bearers of shield and spear, six thousand and eight hundred, armed for war.
25 Z synów Symeona, dzielnych wojowników na wojnę, siedem tysięcy stu.
Of sons of Simeon, heroes of valour for the war, seven thousand, and one hundred.
26 Z synów Lewiego cztery tysiące sześciuset.
Of the sons of Levi, four thousand, and six hundred.
27 [Także] Jehojada, przywódca [synów] Aarona, a z nim trzy tysiące siedmiuset.
And Jehoiada, was chief ruler for Aaron, —and, with him, three thousand and seven hundred;
28 I Sadok, młody, dzielny wojownik [wraz z] domem swego ojca – dwudziestu dwóch dowódców.
and Zadok, a young man, a hero of valour, —and the house of his father, captains twenty and two.
29 Z synów Beniamina, braci Saula, trzy tysiące. Dotąd bowiem większość z nich pozostawała w służbie domu Saula.
And, of the sons of Benjamin, brethren of Saul, three thousand, —and, hitherto, the greater part of them, had been keeping the charge of the house of Saul.
30 Z synów Efraima dwadzieścia tysięcy ośmiuset dzielnych wojowników, ludzi sławnych w domach swych ojców.
And, of the sons of Ephraim, twenty thousand, and eight hundred, —heroes of valour, men of renown, to their ancestral house.
31 Z połowy pokolenia Manassesa osiemnaście tysięcy, którzy imiennie zostali wyznaczeni, aby przyjść i ustanowić Dawida królem.
And, of the half tribe of Manasseh, eighteen thousand, who were distinguished by name, coming in to make David king.
32 Z synów Issachara, umiejących rozpoznać czasy, tak że wiedzieli, co Izrael ma czynić – dwustu naczelników, a wszyscy ich bracia stawali na ich rozkazy.
And, of the sons of Issachar, such as were of good understanding of the times, to know what Israel, should do, their chiefs, were two hundred, and, all their brethren, were at their bidding.
33 [Z pokolenia] Zebulona [tych], którzy wychodzili na wojnę, wyćwiczonych w walce wszelką bronią wojenną – pięćdziesiąt tysięcy stających w szyku bojowym i niemających dwoistego serca.
Of Zebulun—such as were ready to go forth in host, expert for battle with all weapons of war, fifty thousand, —and for setting in array, not of two minds!
34 Z [pokolenia] Neftalego – tysiąc dowódców, a z nimi trzydzieści siedem tysięcy [uzbrojonych] w tarcze i włócznie.
And, of Naphtali, a thousand captains, —and, with them, with shield and spear, thirty-seven thousand.
35 Z [pokolenia] Dana gotowych do boju było dwadzieścia osiem tysięcy sześciuset [mężczyzn].
And, of the Danite, expert for war, twenty-eight thousand, and six hundred.
36 Z [pokolenia] Aszera tych, którzy wychodzili na wojnę, wyćwiczonych w walce – czterdzieści tysięcy.
And, of Asher, such as were ready to go forth in host to set in array for battle, forty thousand.
37 Z drugiej strony Jordanu z [pokolenia] Rubena i Gada oraz z połowy pokolenia Manassesa w pełnym uzbrojeniu wojennym – sto dwadzieścia tysięcy [mężczyzn].
And, from over the Jordan, of the Reubenites and Gadites and half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of weapons of war for battle, a hundred and twenty thousand.
38 Ci wszyscy wojownicy, którzy stawali w szyku bojowym, całym sercem przyszli do Hebronu, aby ustanowić Dawida królem nad całym Izraelem. Również i cała reszta Izraela [była] jednomyślna w tym, aby ustanowić Dawida królem.
All these, being men of war, expert in setting in battle-array, with a perfect heart, came to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel, —moreover also, all the rest of Israel, were of one heart to make David king.
39 I byli tam z Dawidem przez trzy dni, jedząc i pijąc, gdyż ich bracia przygotowali to dla nich.
So they were there, with David, three days, eating and drinking, —for their brethren had made preparation for them.
40 Również ci, którzy byli w ich pobliżu, aż po Issachara i Zebulona, i Neftalego, przynosili żywność na osłach, na wielbłądach, na mułach i na wołach: potrawy, mąkę, figi, rodzynki, wino, oliwę oraz woły i owce w wielkiej ilości, bo zapanowała radość w Izraelu.
Moreover also, they who were near of kin unto them, as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, were bringing bread, on asses and on camels and on mules and on oxen, meal-food, cakes of figs and cakes of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep—in abundance, —for there was joy Israel.
