2 Starcy, aby byli trzeźwi, poważni, roztropni, zdrowi w wierze, w miłości, w cierpliwości.
That the elderly men be sober, grave, prudent, sound in faith, in divine love, in patience:
3 Także i stare niewiasty niech chodzą w ubiorze przystojnym, jako przystoi świętym; niech nie będą potwarliwe, nie kochające się w wielu wina, poczciwych rzeczy nauczające;
likewise that the elderly women be reverent in demeanor, not tattlers, not given to much wine, teachers of that which is good;
4 Aby młodych pań rozumu uczyły, jakoby mężów swoich i dziatki miłować miały,
in order that they instruct the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 A były roztropne, czyste, domu pilne, dobrotliwe, mężom swym poddane, aby słowo Boże nie było bluźnione.
to be prudent, chaste, domestic, good, submissive to their own husbands, in order that the word of God may not be blasphemed.
6 Młodzieńców także napominaj, aby byli trzeźwi;
Likewise exhort the young men to be prudent:
7 We wszystkiem samego siebie wystawiając za wzór dobrych uczynków, mając w nauce całość, powagę,
concerning all things exhibiting yourself an example of good works; in teaching; purity, gravity,
8 Słowo zdrowe, nienaganione, aby ten, kto by się sprzeciwił, zawstydzić się musiał, nie mając nic, co by o was miał złego mówić.
the sound word, irrefutable, in order that the adversary may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say concerning us.

For the grace of God, that brings salvation to all men, has appeared,
12 Ćwicząca nas, abyśmy odrzekłszy się niepobożności i świeckich pożądliwości, trzeźwie i sprawiedliwie, i pobożnie żyli na tym świecie, (aiōn g165)
teaching us, that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we must live prudently and righteously and holily in this present age; (aiōn g165)
13 Oczekując onej błogosławionej nadziei i objawienia chwały wielkiego Boga i zbawiciela naszego, Jezusa Chrystusa;
looking for the blessed hope even the appearing of the glory of our great God and our Saviour Christ Jesus;
14 Który dał samego siebie za nas, aby nas wykupił od wszelkiej nieprawości i oczyścił sobie samemu lud własny, gorliwie naśladujący dobrych uczynków.
who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15 To mów i napominaj, i strofuj ze wszelką powagą; żaden tobą niechaj nie gardzi.
Speak these things and exhort and convict with all authority; let no one despise thee.
