Psalmów 94
1 Boże pomst! Panie Boże pomst! rozjaśnij się!
A Psalm of David for the fourth [day] of the week. The Lord is a God of vengeance; the God of vengeance has declared himself.
2 Podnieś się, o Sędzio wszystkiej ziemi! a daj zapłatę pysznym.
Be thou exalted, thou that judgest the earth: render a reward to the proud.
3 Dokądże niepobożni, Panie! dokądże niepobożni radować się będą?
How long shall sinners, O Lord, how long shall sinners boast?
4 Długoż będą świegotać i hardzie mówić, chlubiąc się wszyscy, którzy czynią nieprawość?
They will utter and speak unrighteousness; all the workers of iniquity will speak [so].
5 Lud twój, Panie! trzeć, a dziedzictwo twoje trapić?
They have afflicted thy people, O Lord, and hurt thine heritage.
6 Wdowy i przychodniów mordować? a sierotki zabijać?
They have slain the widow and fatherless, and murdered the stranger.
7 Mówiąc: Nie widzi tego Pan, ani tego rozumie Bóg Jakóbowy.
And they said, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob understand.
8 Zrozumicież, o wy bydlęcy między ludźmi! a wy szaleni kiedyż zrozumiecie?
Understand now, ye simple among the people; and ye fools, at length be wise.
9 Izali ten, który szczepił ucho, nie słyszy? i który ukształtował oko, izali nie widzi?
He that planted the ear, does he not hear? or he that formed the eye, does not he perceive?
10 Izali ten, który ćwiczy narody, nie będzie karał? który uczy człowieka umiejętności.
He that chastises the heathen, shall not he punish, [even] he that teaches man knowledge?
11 Pan zna myśli ludzkie, iż są szczerą marnością.
The Lord knows the thoughts of men, that they are vain.
12 Błogosławiony jest mąż, którego ty ćwiczysz, Panie! a zakonu twego uczysz go.
Blessed is the man whomsoever thou shalt chasten, O Lord, and shalt teach him out of thy law;
13 Abyś mu sprawił pokój od złych dni, ażby był wykopany dół niezbożnikowi.
to give him rest from evil days, until a pit be digged for the sinful one.
14 Albowiem, nie opuści Pan ludu swego, a dziedzictwa swego nie zaniecha.
For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance;
15 Ale aż ku sprawiedliwości obróci się sąd, a za nim wszyscy serca uprzejmego.
until righteousness return to judgment, and all the upright in heart shall follow it. (Pause)
16 Któżby się był zastawił za mną przeciwko złośnikom? ktoby się był ujął o mnie przeciwko tym, którzy czynią nieprawość?
Who will rise up for me against the transgressors? or who will stand up with me against the workers of iniquity?
17 By mi był Pan nie przybył na pomoc, małoby była nie mieszkała dusza moja w milczeniu.
If the Lord had not helped me, my soul had almost sojourned in Hades.
18 Jużem był rzekł: Zachwiała się noga moja; ale miłosierdzie twoje, o Panie! zatrzymało mię.
If I said, My foot has been moved;
19 W wielkości utrapienia mego, we wnętrznościach moich, pociechy twoje rozweselały duszę moję.
thy mercy, O Lord, helped me. O Lord, according to the multitude of my griefs within my heart, thy consolation have soothed my soul.
20 Izali z tobą towarzyszy stolica nieprawości tych, którzy stanowią krzywdę miasto prawa?
Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frames mischief by an ordinance?
21 Którzy się zbierają przeciwko duszy sprawiedliwego, a krew niewinną potępiają?
They will hunt for the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.
22 Ale Pan jest twierdzą moją, a Bóg mój skałą ufności mojej.
But the Lord was my refuge; and my God the helper of my hope.
23 Onci obróci na nich nieprawość ich, a dla złości ich wytraci ich; wytraci ich Pan, Bóg nasz.
And he will recompense to them their iniquity and their wickedness: the Lord our God shall utterly destroy them.
