< Psalmów 87 >
1 Synom Korego psalm i pieśń. Fundament jego jest na górach świętych.
The city that Yahweh established is on his sacred hill.
2 Umiłował Pan bramy Syońskie nad wszystkie przybytki Jakóbowe.
He loves that city, Jerusalem, more than he loves any other city in Israel.
3 Sławne o tobie rzeczy powiadają, o miasto Boże! (Sela)
[You people in] [APO] the city that God (owns/lives in), people say wonderful things about your city.
4 Wspomnę na Egipt, i na Babilon przed swymi znajomymi; oto i Filistyńczycy, i Tyryjczycy, i Murzyni rzeką, że się tu każdy z nich urodził.
[Some of those who know about God are the people of] Egypt and Babylonia, and also [the people of] Philistia and Tyre and Ethiopia; [some day they all] will say, “[Although I was not born in Jerusalem], [because I belong to Yahweh, it is as though] I was born there.”
5 Także i o Syonie mówić będą: Ten i ów urodził się w nim; a sam Najwyższy ugruntuje go.
And concerning Jerusalem, people will say [“It is as though] everyone was born there, and Almighty God will cause that city to remain strong/safe/secure.”
6 Pan policzy narody, gdy je popisywać będzie, mówiąc: Ten się tu urodził. (Sela)
Yahweh will write a list of [the names of] the people of various groups [who belong to him], and he will say that [he considers them] all to be citizens of Jerusalem.
7 Przetoż o tobie śpiewać będą z pląsaniem wszystkie siły żywota mego.
They will all dance and sing, saying, “Jerusalem is the source of all our blessings.”
