1 Przedniejszemu śpiewakowi dla Jedytuna psalm Asafowy. Głos mój podnoszę do Boga, kiedy wołam; głos mój podnoszę do Boga, aby mię wysłuchał.
To the chief Musician. On Jeduthun. Of Asaph. A Psalm. My voice is unto God, and I will cry; my voice is unto God, and he will give ear unto me.
2 W dzień utrapienia mego szukałem Pana: wyciągałem w nocy ręce moje bez przestania, a nie dała się ucieszyć dusza moja.
In the day of my trouble, I sought the Lord: my hand was stretched out in the night, and slacked not; my soul refused to be comforted.
3 Wspominałem na Boga, a trwożyłem sobą; rozmyślałem, a utrapieniem ściśniony był duch mój. (Sela)
I remembered God, and I moaned; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. (Selah)
4 Zatrzymywałeś oczy moje, aby czuły; potartym był, ażem nie mógł mówić.
Thou holdest open mine eyelids; I am full of disquiet and cannot speak.
5 Przychodziły mi na pamięć dni przeszłe i lata dawne.
I consider the days of old, the years of ancient times.
6 Wspominałem sobie na śpiewanie moje; w nocym w sercu swem rozmyślał, i wywiadywał się o tem duch mój, mówiąc:
I remember my song in the night; I muse in mine own heart, and my spirit maketh diligent search.
7 Izali mię na wieki odrzuci Pan, a więcej mi już łaski nie ukaże?
Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?
8 Izali do końca ustanie miłosierdzie jego, i koniec weźmie słowo od rodzaju aż do rodzaju? Izali zapomniał Bóg zmiłować się?
Hath his loving-kindness ceased for ever? hath [his] word come to an end from generation to generation?
9 Izali zatrzymał w gniewie litości swoje? (Sela)
Hath God forgotten to be gracious? or hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? (Selah)
10 I rzekłem: Toć jest śmierć moja; wszakże prawica Najwyższego uczyni odmianę.
Then said I, This is my weakness: — the years of the right hand of the Most High
11 Wspominać sobie będę na sprawy Pańskie, a przypominać sobie będę dziwne sprawy twoje, zdawna uczynione.
Will I remember, — the works of Jah; for I will remember thy wonders of old,
12 I będę rozmyślał o wszelkiem dziele twojem, i o uczynkach twoich będę mówił:
And I will meditate upon all thy work, and muse upon thy doings.
13 Boże! święta jest droga twoja. Któryż Bóg jest tak wielki, jako Bóg nasz?
O God, thy way is in the sanctuary: who is so great a god as God?
14 Tyś jest Bóg, który czynisz cuda; podałeś do znajomości między narody moc twoję.
Thou art the God that doest wonders; thou hast declared thy strength among the peoples.
15 Odkupiłeś ramieniem twojem lud swój, syny Jakóbowe i Józefowe. (Sela)
Thou hast with [thine] arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)
16 Widziały cię wody, o Boże! widziały cię wody, i ulękły się, i wzruszyły się przepaści.
The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they trembled, yea, the depths were troubled:
17 Obłoki wydały powodzi; niebiosa wydały gromy, a strzały twoje tam i sam biegały.
The thick clouds poured out water; the skies sent out a sound, yea, thine arrows went abroad:
18 Huczało grzmienie twoje po obłokach, błyskawice oświeciły okrąg ziemi, ziemia się wzruszyła i zatrzęsła.
The voice of thy thunder was in the whirlwind, lightnings lit up the world; the earth was troubled and it quaked.
19 Przez morze była droga twoja, a ścieżki twoje przez wody wielkie, wszakże śladów twoich nie było.
Thy way is in the sea, and thy paths are in the great waters; and thy footsteps are not known.
20 Prowadziłeś lud twój, jako stado owiec, przez rękę Mojżesza i Aarona.
Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
