Psalmów 63
1 Psalm Dawidowy, gdy był na puszczy Judzkiej. Boże! tyś jest Bogiem moim; z poranku cię szukam; pragnie cię dusza moja, tęskni po tobie ciało moje w ziemi suchej i upragnionej, w której nie masz wody;
“A psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.” O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry land, and it is faint without water.
2 Abym cię oglądał w świątnicy twojej, i widział moc twoję i chwałę twoję.
As I have beheld thee in the sanctuary, seeing thy strength and thy glory;
3 (Albowiem lepsze jest miłosierdzie twoje, niż żywot, ) aby cię chwaliły wargi moje,
Because thy kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee:
4 Abym cię błogosławił za żywota mego, a w imieniu twojem abym podnosił ręce moje.
Thus will I bless thee while I live; in thy name will I lift up my hands.
5 Jako tłustością i sadłem byłaby tu nasycona dusza moja, a radosnem warg śpiewaniem wychwalałyby cię usta moje.
As with fat and marrow will my soul be satisfied; and with tuneful lips shall my mouth praise thee.
6 Zaprawdęć na cię wspominam, i na łożu mojem każdej straży nocnej rozmyślam o tobie.
When I remember thee upon my couch, I meditate on thee in the night-watches.
7 Boś mi bywał na pomocy; przetoż w cieniu skrzydeł twoich śpiewać będę.
Because thou hast been a help unto me; and in the shadow of thy wings will I sing rejoicingly.
8 Przylgnęła dusza moja do ciebie; prawica twoja podpiera mię.
My soul cleaveth unto following thee: me thy right hand upholdeth.
9 Ale ci, którzy szukają upadku duszy mojej, sami wnijdą do najgłębszej niskości ziemi.
But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go down into the lowest deeps of the earth.
10 Zabije każdego z nich ostrość miecza, i przyjdą liszkom na podział.
They shall be delivered up to the power of the sword: they shall become a prey for jackals.
11 Lecz król będzie się weselił w Bogu, a będzie się chlubił każdy, kto przezeń przysięga; albowiem zatkane będą usta mówiących kłamstwo.
But the king shall rejoice in God: every one that sweareth by him shall glorify himself; for the mouth of those that speak falsehood shall be stopped.
