1 Przedniejszemu śpiewakowi o niemej gołębicy, na miejscach odległych, złoty psalm Dawidowy, gdy go w Gat Filistynowie pojmali. Zmiłuj się nademną, o Boże!, bo mię chce pochłonąć człowiek; każdego dnia walcząc trapi mię.

For the end, concerning the people that were removed from the sanctuary, by David for a memorial, when the Philistines caught him in Geth. Have mercy upon me, O God; for man has trodden me down; all the day long he warring has afflicted me.

2 Chcą mię połknąć nieprzyjaciele moi na każdy dzień; zaprawdęć wiele jest walczących przeciwko mnie, o Najwyższy!

Mine enemies have trodden me down all the day from the dawning of the day; for there are many warring against me.

3 Któregokolwiek mię dnia strach ogarnia, ja w tobie ufam.

They shall be afraid, but I will trust in you.

4 Boga wysławiać będę dla słowa jego; w Bogu nadzieję będę miał, ani się będę bał, żeby mi co ciało uczynić mogło.

In God I will praise my words; all the day have I hoped in God; I will not fear what flesh shall do to me.

5 Przez cały dzień słowa moje wykręcają, a przeciwko mnie są wszystkie myśli ich, na złe.

All the day long they have abominated my words; all their devices [are] against me for evil.

6 Zbierają się, i ukrywają się, i ślad mój upatrują, czyhając na duszę moję.

They will dwell near and hide [themselves]; they will watch my steps, accordingly as I have waited patiently in my soul.

7 Izali za nieprawość pomsty ujdą? strąć te narody, o Boże! w popędliwości twojej.

You will on no account save them; you will bring down the people in wrath.

8 Tyś tułanie moje policzył; zbierzże też łzy moje w wiadro twe; izaż nie są spisane w księgach twoich?

O God, I have declared my life to you; you has set my tears before you, even according to your promise.

9 Tedy się nazad cofną nieprzyjaciele moi, któregokolwiek dnia zawołam; bo to wiem, iż Bóg jest ze mną.

Mine enemies shall be turned back, in the day wherein I shall call upon you; behold, I know that you are my God.

10 Boga wysławiać będę z słowa; Pana chwalić będę z słowa jego.

In God, will I praise [his] word; in the Lord will I praise [his] saying.

11 W Bogu mam nadzieję, nie będę się bał, aby mi co miał uczynić człowiek.

I have hoped in God; I will not be afraid of what man shall do to me.

12 Tobiem, o Boże! śluby uczynił; przetoż też tobie chwały oddam.

The vows of your praise, O God, which I will pay, are upon me.

13 Albowiemeś wyrwał duszę moję od śmierci, a nogi moje od upadku, abym statecznie chodził przed obliczem Bożem w światłości żyjących.

For you have delivered my soul from death, and my feet from sliding, that I should be well-pleasing before God in the land of the living.
