Psalmów 54

1 Przedniejszemu śpiewakowi na Neginot pieśń Dawidowa nauczająca. Gdy przyszli Zyfejczycy, i rzekli do Saula: Dawid się kryje przed tobą u nas. Boże! dla imienia twego wybaw mię, a w mocy twojej podejmij się sprawy mojej.

“To the chief musician on Neginoth, a Maskil of David, When the Ziphim came and said to Saul, Behold, David is hiding himself with us.” O God, by thy name save me, and by thy strength grant me justice.

2 Boże! wysłuchaj modlitwę moję; przyjmij w uszy słowa ust moich.

O God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth.

3 Albowiem obcy powstali przeciwko mnie, a okrutnicy szukają duszy mojej, nie stawiając sobie Boga przed oczyma swemi. (Sela)

For strangers [to goodness] are risen up against me, and powerful oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. (Selah)

4 Oto Bóg jest pomocnikiem moim: Pan jest z tymi, którzy podpierają żywot mój.

Behold, God is a helper unto me: the Lord is among those that uphold my soul.

5 Oddaj złym nieprzyjaciołom moim, w prawdzie twojej wytrać ich, o Panie!

He will cause the evil to return upon those that regard me with envy: in thy truth cut them off.

6 Tedyć dobrowolnie będę ofiarował; będę wysławiał imię twoje, Panie! przeto, że jest dobre;

I will liberally sacrifice unto thee: I will give thanks unto thy name, O Lord; for it is good.

7 Gdyż z każdego utrapienia wyrwałeś mię, a pomstę nad nieprzyjaciołmi mymi oglądało oko moje.

For out of all distress hath he delivered me: and my eye hath seen [its desire] on my enemies.
