Psalmów 38
1 Psalm Dawidowy ku przypominaniu. Panie! w popędliwości twojej nie nacieraj na mię, a w gniewie twoim nie karz mię.
“A psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.” O Lord, correct me not in thy wrath, nor chastise me in thy fury.
2 Albowiem strzały twoje utknęły we mnie, a ręka twoja dolega mię.
For thy arrows have penetrated into me, and thy hand presseth down upon me.
3 Niemasz nic całego w ciele mojem dla rozgniewania twego; niemasz odpoczynku kościom moim dla grzechu mojego.
There is no soundness in my flesh because of thy indignation: there is no peace in my bones because of my sin.
4 Bo nieprawości moje przycisnęły głowę moję; jako brzemię ciężkie obciążyły mię.
For my iniquities are passed over my head, as a heavy burden are they too heavy for me.
5 Zjątrzyły się, i pogniły rany moje, dla głupstwa mojego.
Foul, corrupt are my bruises because of my folly.
6 Skurczyłem się, i skrzywiłem się bardzo, na każdy dzień w żałobie chodzę.
I am bent double; I am bowed down to the utmost; all the day long I go about full of grief.
7 Albowiem wnętrzności moje pełne są brzydkości, a nie masz nic całego w ciele mojem.
For my loins are filled with a burning disease, and there is no soundness in my flesh.
8 Zemdlałem, i startym jest bardzo, ryczę dla trwogi serca mego.
I am made faint and crushed to the utmost; I cry aloud because of the groaning of my heart.
9 Panie! przed tobą jest wszystka żądość moja, a wzdychanie moje przed tobą nie jest skryte.
Lord, before thee is all my longing; and my sighing is from thee not hidden.
10 Serce moje skacze; opuściła mię siła moja, a jasności oczów moich nie masz przy mnie.
My heart is restless, my strength hath left me; and the light of my eyes—that also is no more with me.
11 Którzy mię miłują, i przyjaciele moi, stronią od ran moich, a powinowaci moi z daleka stoją.
My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
12 I zastawili sidła ci, którzy szukają duszy mojej; a którzy mi szukają złego, mówili przewrotnie, i zdrady przez cały dzień zmyślali.
They also that seek after my life lay snares; and they that wish for my mishap speak wicked falsehoods; and deceits do they devise all the day long.
13 Alem ja niby głuchy nie słyszał, a jako niemy, który ust swoich nie otwiera.
But I, as a deaf man, hear not; and I am as a dumb man that cannot open his mouth.
14 I stałem się jako człowiek, który nic nie słyszy, i niema odporu w ustach swoich.
Thus am I as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no words of defence.
15 Albowiem na cię, Panie! oczekuję; ty za mię odpowiesz, Panie, Boże mój!
For in thee, O Lord, do I hope: thou wilt answer, O Lord my God.
16 Bom rzekł: Niechaj się nie cieszą ze mnie; gdyby szwankowała noga moja, niechaj się hardzie nie podnoszą przeciwko mnie.
For I said, Perhaps they might rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they might magnify themselves over me.
17 Bom ja upadku bliski, a boleść moja zawżdy jest przedemną.
For I am prepared for [my] downfall, and my pain is continually before me.
18 Owszem, nieprawość moję wyznaję, a frasuję się dla grzechu mojego.
For I will tell of my iniquity; I will be grieved because of my sin.
19 Ale nieprzyjaciele moi weselą się, zmacniają się, i rozmnażają się ci, którzy mię nienawidzą bez przyczyny:
But my enemies are strong in life; and numerous are those that hate me wrongfully;
20 A oddawając mi złem za dobre sprzeciwiają mi się, przeto, że naśladuję tego, co jest dobrego.
They also that repay [me] evil in lieu of good; they hate me bitterly because I pursue what is good.
21 Nie opuszczajże mię, Panie, Boże mój! nie oddalajże się odemnie.
Forsake me not, O Lord: O my God, be not far from me.
22 Pośpiesz na ratunek mój, Panie zbawienia mego!
Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation.
