Psalmów 33
1 Weselcie się w Panu sprawiedliwi; bo szczerym przystoi chwalić Pana.
Rejoice in Jehovah, O ye righteous. Praise is comely for the upright.
2 Wysławiajcie Pana na harfie, na lutni, na instrumencie o dziesięciu stronach, śpiewajcie mu.
Give thanks to Jehovah with the harp. Sing praises to him with the psaltery of ten strings.
3 Śpiewajcież mu piosnkę nową; dobrze mu i głośno grajcie.
Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a loud noise.
4 Albowiem szczere jest słowo Pańskie, i wszystkie sprawy jego wierne.
For the word of Jehovah is right, and all his work is done in faithfulness.
5 Miłuje sąd i sprawiedliwość; pełna jest ziemia miłosierdzia Pańskiego.
He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Jehovah.
6 Słowem Pańskiem są niebiosa uczynione, a Duchem ust jego wszystko wojsko ich.
By the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
7 Który zgromadził jako na kupę wody morskie, i złożył do skarbu przepaści.
He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up the deeps in store-houses.
8 Niech się boi Pana wszystka ziemia; niech się go lękają wszyscy obywatele okręgu ziemi.
Let all the earth fear Jehovah. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
9 Albowiem on rzekł, i stało się; on rozkazał, a stanęło.
For he spoke, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood fast.
10 Pan rozprasza rady narodów, a wniwecz obraca zamysły ludzkie;
Jehovah brings the counsel of the nations to naught. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.
11 Ale rada Pańska trwa na wieki, a myśli serca jego od narodu do narodu.
The counsel of Jehovah stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
12 Błogosławiony naród, którego Pan jest Bogiem jego; lud, który sobie obrał za dziedzictwo.
Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
13 Pan patrzy z nieba, i widzi wszystkich synów ludzkich.
Jehovah looks from heaven. He beholds all the sons of men.
14 Z miejsca mieszkania swego spogląda na wszystkich obywateli ziemi.
From the place of his habitation he looks forth upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
15 Który stworzył serce każdego z nich, upatruje wszystkie sprawy ich.
he who fashions the hearts of them all, who considers all their works.
16 Nie bywa król wybawiony przez wielkość wojska, ani mocarz nie ujdzie przez wielką moc swoję.
There is no king saved by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
17 Omylnyć jest koń ku wybawieniu, a nie wyrywa wielkością mocy swojej.
A horse is a vain thing for safety, nor does he deliver any by his great power.
18 Oto oko Pańskie nad tymi, którzy się go boją, nad tymi, którzy ufają w miłosierdziu jego;
Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon those who fear him, upon those who hope in his loving kindness,
19 Aby wyrwał od śmierci duszę ich, a pożywił ich w głodzie.
to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Dusza nasza oczekuje Pana; on ratunek nasz i tarcza nasza.
Our soul has waited for Jehovah. He is our help and our shield.
21 W nim zaprawdę rozweseli się serce nasze; bo w imieniu jego świętem ufamy.
For our heart shall rejoice in him because we have trusted in his holy name.
22 Niechże będzie miłosierdzie twoje, Panie! nad nami, jakośmy nadzieję w tobie mieli.
Let thy loving kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, according as we have hoped in thee.
