Psalmów 18
1 Przedniejszemu śpiewakowi pieśń Dawida, sługi Pańskiego, który mówił do Pana słowa tej pieśni onego dnia, gdy go Pan wyrwał z rąk wszystkich nieprzyjaciół jego, i z ręki Saulowej; i rzekł: Rozmiłuję się ciebie, Panie, mocy moja!
For the end, [a Psalm] of David, the servant of the Lord; [the words] which he spoke to the Lord, [even] the words of this Song, in the day in which the Lord delivered him out the hand of all his enemies, and out the hand of Saul: and he said: I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
2 Pan opoką moją, twierdzą moją, i wybawicielem moim; Bóg mój skała moja, w nim będę ufał; tarcza moja, i róg zbawienia mego, ucieczka moja.
The Lord is my firm support, and my refuge, and my deliverer; my God is my helper, I will hope in him; [he is] my defender, and the horn of my salvation, and my helper.
3 Wzywałem Pana chwalebnego, a od nieprzyjaciół moich byłem wybawiony.
I will call upon the Lord with praises, and I shall be saved from mine enemies.
4 Ogarnęły mię były boleści śmierci, a potoki niepobożnych zatrwożyły mię.
The pangs of death compassed me, and the torrents of ungodliness troubled me exceedingly.
The pangs of hell came round about me: the snares of death prevented me. (Sheol h7585)
6 W utrapieniu mojem wzywałem Pana, i wołałem do Boga mego; wysłuchał z kościoła swego głos mój, a wołanie moje przed oblicznością jego przyszło do uszów jego.
And when I was afflicted I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God: he heard my voice out of this holy temple, and my cry shall enter before him, [even] into his ears.
7 Tedy się ziemia wzruszyła i zadrżała, a fundamenty gór zatrząsnęły się, i wzruszyły się od gniewu jego.
Then the earth shook and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains were disturbed, and were shaken, because God was angry with them.
8 Występował dym z nozdrzy jego, węgle się rozpaliły od niego.
There went up a smoke in his wrath, and fire burst into a flame at his presence: coals were kindled at it.
9 Nakłonił niebios, i zstąpił, a ciemność była pod nogami jego.
And he bowed the heaven, and came down: and thick darkness was under his feet.
10 A wsiadłszy na Cheruba, latał; latał na skrzydłach wiatrowych.
And he mounted on cherubs and flew: he flew on the wings of winds.
11 Uczynił sobie z ciemności ukrycie, około siebie namiot swój z ciemnych wód, i z gęstych obłoków.
And he made darkness his secret place: round about him was his tabernacle, [even] dark water in the clouds of the air.
12 Od blasku przed nim rozeszły się obłoki jego, grad i węgle ogniste.
At the brightness before him the clouds passed, hail and coals of fire.
13 I zagrzmiał na niebie Pan, a Najwyższy wydał głos swój, grad i węgle ogniste.
The Lord also thundered from heaven, and the Highest uttered his voice.
14 Wypuścił strzały swe, i rozproszył ich, a błyskawicami gęstemi rozgromił ich.
And he sent forth [his] weapons, and scattered them; and multiplied lightnings, and routed them.
15 I okazały się głębokości wód, a odkryte są grunty świata na fukanie twoje, Panie! i na tchnienie wiatru nozdrzy twoich.
And the springs of waters appeared, and the foundations of the world were exposed, at thy rebuke, O Lord, at the blasting of the breath of thy wrath.
16 Posławszy z wysokości zachwycił mię; wyciągnął mię z wód wielkich.
He sent from on high and took me, he drew me to himself out of many waters.
17 Wyrwał mię od mocnego nieprzyjaciela mego, i od tych, którzy mię mieli w nienawiści, choć byli mocniejszymi nad mię.
He will deliver me from my mighty enemies, and from them that hate me; for they are stronger than I.
18 Uprzedzili mię byli w dzień utrapienia mego; ale Pan był podporą moją.
They prevented me in the day of mine affliction: but the Lord was my stay against [them].
19 Wywiódł mię na przestrzeństwo; wyrwał mię, iż mię umiłował.
And he brought me out into a wide place: he will deliver me, because he has pleasure in me.
20 Nagrodził mi Pan według sprawiedliwości mojej; według czystości rąk moich oddał mi.
And the Lord will recompense me according to my righteousness; even according to the purity of my hands will he recompense me.
21 Bom strzegł dróg Pańskich, anim odstąpił niezbożnie od Boga mego.
For I have kept the way of the Lord and have not wickedly departed from my God.
22 Bom miał wszystkie sądy jego przed oczyma memi, a ustaw jego nie odrzucałem od siebie.
For all his judgments were before me, and his ordinances departed not from me.
23 Owszem, byłem szczerym przed nim, a strzegłem się od nieprawości mojej.
And I shall be blameless with hem, and shall keep myself from mine iniquity.
24 Przetoż oddał mi Pan według sprawiedliwości mojej, według czystości rąk moich, która była przed oczyma jego.
And the Lord shall recompense me according to my righteousness, and according to the purity of my hands before his eyes.
25 Ty, Panie! z miłosiernym miłosiernie się obejdziesz, a z mężem szczerym szczerze sobie postąpisz.
With the holy thou wilt be holy; and with the innocent man thou wilt be innocent.
26 Z uprzejmym uprzejmie się obejdziesz, a z przewrotnym przewrotnie sobie postąpisz;
And with the excellent [man] thou wilt be excellent; and with the perverse thou wilt shew frowardness.
27 Albowiem ty lud utrapiony wybawisz, a oczy wyniosłe poniżysz.
For thou wilt save the lowly people, and wilt humble the eyes of the proud.
28 Ty zaiste rozświecisz pochodnię moję; Pan, Bóg mój, oświeci ciemności moje.
For thou, O Lord, wilt light my lamp: my God, thou wilt lighten my darkness.
29 Gdyż z tobą przebiłem się przez wojsko, a z Bogiem moim przeskoczyłem mur.
For by thee shall I be delivered from a troop; and by my God I will pass over a wall.
30 Droga Boża doskonała jest; słowo Pańskie jest ogniem wypławione. Tarczą jest wszystkich, którzy w nim ufają.
[As for] my God, his way is perfect: the oracles of the Lord are tried in the fire; he is a protector of all them that hope in him.
31 Bo któż jest Bóg, oprócz Pana? a kto opoką, oprócz Boga naszego?
For who is God but the Lord? and who is a God except our God?
32 On jest Bogiem, który mię opasuje mocą, a czyni prostą drogę moję.
[It is] God that girds me with strength, and has made my way blameless:
33 Krzepi nogi moje jako jelenie, a na wysokich miejscach moich stawia mię.
who strengthens my feet as hart's feet, and sets me upon high places.
34 Çwiczy ręce moje do boju, tak, iż kruszę łuk miedziany ramionami swemi.
He instructs my hands for war: and thou hast made my arms [as] a brazen bow.
35 Dałeś mi też tarcz zbawienia twego, a prawica twoja podpierała mię, i dobrotliwość twoja uwielmożyła mię.
And thou hast made me secure in my salvation: and thy right hand has helped me, and thy correction has upheld me to the end; yea, thy correction itself shall instruct me.
36 Rozszerzyłeś kroki moje podemną, tak, że się nie zachwiały golenie moje.
Thou has made room for my goings under me, and by footsteps did not fail.
37 Goniłem nieprzyjaciół moich, a doścignąłem ich: i nie wróciłem się, ażem ich wytracił.
I will pursue mine enemies, and overtake them; and I will not turn back until they are consumed.
38 Poraziłem ich tak, iż nie mogli powstać; upadli pod nogi moje.
I will dash them to pieces and they shall not be able to stand: they shall fall under my feet.
39 Tyś mię opasał mocą ku bitwie; powstawających przeciwko mnie obaliłeś pod mię.
For thou hast girded me with strength for war: thou hast beaten down under me all that rose up against me.
40 Podałeś mi tył nieprzyjaciół moich, abym tych, którzy mię nienawidzą, wykorzenił.
And thou has made mine enemies turn their backs before me; and thou hast destroyed them that hated me.
41 Wołalić, ale nie był, ktoby ich wybawił; do Pana, ale ich nie wysłuchał.
They cried, but there was no deliverer: [even] to the Lord, but he hearkened not to them.
42 I potarłem ich, jako proch od wiatru; jako błoto na ulicach podeptałem ich.
I will grind them as the mud of the streets: and I will beat them small as dust before the wind.
43 Wyrwałeś mię od zwad ludzkich, a postawiłeś mię głową narodom; lud, któregom nie znał, służył mi.
Deliver me from the gain sayings of the people: thou shalt make me head of the Gentiles: a people whom I knew not served me,
44 Skoro usłyszeli, byli mi posłuszni; cudzoziemcy obłudnie mi się poddawali.
at the hearing of the ear they obeyed me: the strange children lied to me.
45 Cudzoziemcy opadli, a drżeli w zamknieniach swoich.
The strange children waxed old, and fell away from their paths through lameness.
46 Żyje Pan, błogosławiona opoka moja; przetoż niech będzie wywyższony Bóg zbawienia mego.
The Lord lives; and blessed [be] my God; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
47 Bóg jest, który mi zleca pomsty, i podbija mi narody.
[It is] God that avenges me, and has subdued the nations under me;
48 Tyś wybawiciel mój od nieprzyjaciół moich; tyś mię nad powstawających przeciwko mnie wywyższył; od męża drapieżnego wyrwałeś mię.
my deliverer from angry enemies: thou shalt set me on high above them that rise up against me: thou shalt deliver me from the unrighteous man.
49 Przetoż cię, Panie! będę wyznawał między narodami, a będę śpiewał imieniowi twemu.
Therefore will I confess to thee, O Lord, among the Gentiles, and sing to thy name.
50 Boś zacnie wybawił króla swego, a czynisz miłosierdzie pomazańcowi swemu Dawidowi, i nasieniu jego, aż na wieki.
[God] magnifies the deliverances of his king; and deals mercifully with David his anointed, and his seed, for ever.
