Psalmów 16
1 Złota pieśń Dawidowa.
Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
2 Strzeż mię, o Boże! bo w tobie ufam. Rzecz, duszo moja! Panu: Tyś Pan mój, a dobroć moja nic ci nie pomoże,
[O my soul], thou hast said to the LORD, Thou [art] my LORD: my goodness [extendeth] not to thee;
3 Ale świętym, którzy są na ziemi, i zacnym, w których wszystko kochanie moje.
[But] to the saints that [are] in the earth, and [to] the excellent, in whom [is] all my delight.
4 Rozmnożą się boleści tych, którzy się za cudzym bogiem kwapią; nie ukuszę ze krwi mokrych ofiar ich, ani wezmę imion ich w usta moje.
Their sorrows shall be multiplied [that] hasten [after] another [god]: their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take their names into my lips.
5 Pan jest cząstką dziedzictwa mego, i kielicha mego, ty zatrzymujesz los mój.
The LORD [is] the portion of my inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6 Sznury mi przypadły na miejscach wesołych, a dziedzictwo wdzięczne przyszło na mię.
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant [places]; yes, I have a goodly heritage.
7 Będę błogosławił Pana, który mi dał radę, gdyż i w nocy ćwiczą mię nerki moje.
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night season.
8 Stawiałem Pana zawsze przed oczyma swemi; a iż on jest po prawicy mojej, nie będę wzruszony.
I have set the LORD always before me: because [he is] at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Przetoż uweseliło się serce moje, a rozradowała się chwała moja; dotego ciało moje mieszkać będzie bezpiecznie.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 Bo nie zostawisz duszy mojej w grobie, ani dopuścisz świętemu twemu oglądać skażenia. (Sheol h7585)
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thy Holy One to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
11 Oznajmisz mi drogę żywota; obfitość wesela jest przed obliczem twojem, rozkoszy po prawicy twojej aż na wieki.
Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence [is] fullness of joy; at thy right hand [are] pleasures for evermore.
