Psalmów 107
1 Wysławiajcie Pana: albowiem dobry; albowiem na wieki miłosierdzie jego.
Alleluia. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy [endures] for ever.
2 Niech o tem powiedzą ci, których odkupił Pan, jako ich wykupił z ręki nieprzyjacielskiej,
Let them say [so] who have been redeemed by the Lord, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3 A zgromadził ich z ziem, od wschodu i od zachodu, od północy i od morza.
and gathered them out of the countries, from the east, and west, and north, and south.
4 Błądzili po puszczy, po pustyni bezdrożnej, miasta dla mieszkania nie znajdując.
They wandered in the wilderness in a dry land; they found no way to a city of habitation.
5 Byli głodnymi i pragnącymi, aż w nich omdlewała dusza ich.
Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6 A gdy wołali do Pana w utrapieniu swojem, z ucisku ich wyrywał ich;
Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
7 I prowadził ich drogą prostą, aby przyszli do miasta, w któremby mieszkali.
And he guided them into a straight path, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8 Niechajże wysławiają przed Panem miłosierdzie jego, a dziwne sprawy jego przed synami ludzkimi:
Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonderful works to the children of men.
9 Iż napoił duszę pragnącą, a duszę zgłodniałą napełnił dobrami.
For he satisfies the empty soul, and fills the hungry [soul] with good things,
10 Którzy siedzą w ciemności i w cieniu śmierci, ściśnieni będąc nędzą i żelazem,
[even] them that sit in darkness and the shadow of death, fettered in poverty and iron;
11 Przeto, że byli odpornymi wyrokom Bożym, a radą Najwyższego pogardzili;
because they rebelled against the words of God, and provoked the counsel of the Most High.
12 Dla czego poniżył biedą serce ich; upadli, a nie był, ktoby ratował.
So their heart was brought low with troubles; they were weak, and there was no helper.
13 A gdy wołali do Pana w utrapieniu swojem, z ucisków ich wybawiał ich.
Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and he saved them out of their distresses.
14 Wywodził ich z ciemności, i z cienia śmierci, a związki ich potargał.
And he brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bonds asunder.
15 Niechajże wysławiają przed Panem miłosierdzie jego, a dziwne sprawy jego przed synami ludzkimi.
Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonders to the children of men.
16 Przeto, że kruszy bramy miedziane, a zawory żelazne rąbie.
For he broke to pieces the brazen gates, and crushed the iron bars.
17 Szaleni dla drogi przewrotności swojej, i dla nieprawości swej utrapieni bywają.
He helped them out of the way of their iniquity; for they were brought low because of their iniquities.
18 Wszelki pokarm brzydzi sobie dusza ich, aż się przybliżają do bram śmierci.
Their soul abhorred all meat; and they drew near to the gates of death.
19 Gdy wołają do Pana w utrapieniu swojem, z ucisków ich wybawia ich.
Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and he saved them out of their distresses.
20 Posyła słowo swe, i uzdrawia ich, a wybawia ich z grobu.
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them out of their destructions.
21 Niechajże wysławiają przed Panem miłosierdzie jego, a dziwne sprawy jego przed synami ludzkimi;
Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonderful works to the children of men.
22 I ofiarując ofiary chwały, niech opowiadają sprawy jego z wesołem śpiewaniem.
And let them offer to him the sacrifice of praise, and proclaim this works with exultation.
23 Którzy się pławią na morzu w okrętach, pracujący na wodach wielkich:
They that go down to the sea in ships, doing business in many waters;
24 Ci widują sprawy Pańskie, i dziwy jego na głębi.
these [men] have seen the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.
25 Jako jedno rzecze, wnet powstanie wiatr gwałtowny, a podnoszą się nawałności morskie.
He speaks, and the stormy wind arises, and its waves are lifted up.
26 Wstępują aż ku niebu, i zaś zstępują do przepaści, tak, iż się dusza ich w niebezpieczeństwie rozpływa.
They go up to the heavens, and go down to the depths; their soul melts because of troubles.
27 Bywają miotani, a potaczają się jako pijany, a wszystka umiejętność ich niszczeje.
They are troubled, they stagger as a drunkard, and all their wisdom is swallowed up.
28 Gdy wołają do Pana w utrapieniu swojem, z ucisków ich wybawia ich.
Then they cry to the Lord in their affliction, and he brings them out of their distresses.
29 Obraca burzę w ciszę, tak, że umilkną nawałności ich.
And he commands the storm, and it is calmed into a gentle breeze, and its waves are still.
30 I weselą się, że ucichło; a tak przywodzi ich do portu pożądanego.
And they are glad, because they are quiet; and he guides them to their desire haven.
31 Niechajże wysławiają przed Panem miłosierdzie jego, a dziwne sprawy jego przed synami ludzkimi.
Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonderful works to the children of men.
32 Niech go wywyższają w zgromadzeniu ludu, a w radzie starców niechaj go chwalą.
Let them exalt him in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the seat of the elders.
33 Obraca rzeki w pustynię, a potoki wód w suszę;
He turns rivers into a desert, and streams of water into a dry land;
34 Ziemię urodzajną obraca w niepłodną dla złości tych, którzy w niej mieszkają.
a fruitful land into saltness, for the wickedness of them that dwell in it.
35 Pustynie obraca w jeziora, a ziemię suchą w strumienie wód.
He turns a wilderness into pools of water, and a dry land into streams of water.
36 I osadza w nich głodnych, aby zakładali miasta ku mieszkaniu;
And there he causes the hungry to dwell, and they establish for themselves cities of habitation.
37 Którzy posiewają pole, a sadzą winnice, i zgromadzają sobie pożytek z urodzaju.
And they sow fields, and plant vineyards, and they yield fruit of increase.
38 Takci im on błogosławi, że się bardzo rozmnażają, a dobytku ich nie umniejsza.
And he blesses them, and they multiply exceedingly, and he diminishes not the number of their cattle.
39 Ale podczas umniejszeni i poniżeni bywają okrucieństwem, nędzą, i utrapieniem;
Again they become few, and are brought low, by the pressure of evils and pain.
40 Gdy wylewa wzgardę na książąt, dopuszczając, aby błądzili po puszczy bezdrożnej.
Contempt is poured upon their princes, and he causes them to wander in a desert and trackless land.
41 Onci nędznego z utrapienia podnosi, i rozmnaża rodzinę jego jako trzodę.
But he helps the poor out of poverty, and makes [him] families as a flock.
42 To widząc uprzejmi rozweselą się, a wszelka nieprawość zatka usta swe.
The upright shall see and rejoice; and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
43 Ale któż jest tak mądry, aby to upatrywał, i wyrozumiewał wszystkie litości Pańskie?
Who is wise, and will observe these things, and understand the mercies of the Lord?
