Filipian 1

1 Paweł i Tymoteusz, słudzy Jezusa Chrystusa, wszystkim świętym w Chrystusie Jezusie, którzy są w mieście Filipis, z biskupami i z dyjakonami.

Paul and Timothy, servants of Jesus Christ, —unto all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with overseers and ministers: —

2 Łaska wam i pokój niech będzie od Boga, Ojca naszego, i od Pana Jezusa Chrystusa.

Favour unto you, and peace, from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Dziękuję Bogu memu, ilekroć na was wspominam,

I am giving thanks unto my God, on occasion of all my remembrance of you,

4 (Zawsze w każdej modlitwie mojej za wszystkich was z radością prośbę czyniąc).

At all times, in every supplication of mine, in behalf of you all, with joy, my supplication, making, —

5 Za społeczność waszę w Ewangielii, od pierwszego dnia aż dotąd;

On account of your contribution unto the glad-message, from the first day until the present:

6 Pewien tego będąc, iż ten, który począł w was dobrą sprawę, dokona aż do dnia Jezusa Chrystusa.

Being persuaded of this very thing—that, he who hath begun in you a good work, will perfect it, until the day of Jesus Christ;

7 Jakoż sprwiedliwa jest, abym ja to rozumiał o was wszystkich, dlatego iż was mam w sercu mojem i w więzieniu mojem, i w obronie, i w utwierdzeniu Ewangielii, was, mówię, wszystkich, którzy jesteście ze mną uczestnikami łaski.

According as it is right in me to have this regard in behalf of you all, —because ye have had me in your hearts, both in my bonds and in the defence and confirmation of the glad-message, all of you being, joint partakers of my favour.

8 Albowiem świadkiem mi jest Bóg, jako was wszystkich pragnę we wnętrznościach Jezusa Chrystusa.

For God is, my witness, how I long for you all in the tender affections of Christ Jesus.

9 I o to się modlę, aby miłość wasza im dalej tem więcej pomnażała się w znajomości i we wszelkim zmyśle,

And, this, I pray—that, your love, may be, yet more and more, pre-eminent in personal knowledge and all perception,

10 Abyście mogli rozeznać rzeczy różne, żebyście byli szczerymi i bez obrażenia na dzień Chrystusowy,

To the end ye may be putting to the test the things that differ, in order that ye may be incorrupt and may give no occasion of stumbling, unto the day of Christ,

11 Będąc napełnieni owocami sprawiedliwości, które przynosicie przez Jezusa Chrystusa ku sławie i chwale Bożej.

Filled with that fruit of righteousness which is through Jesus Christ unto the glory and praise of God.

12 A chcę, bracia! abyście wiedzieli, iż to, co się ze mną dzieje, na większe pomnożenie Ewangielii wyszło.

Howbeit, I am minded, brethren, that ye should be, getting to know, that, the things which relate unto myself, rather, unto an advancement of the glad-message, have fallen out,

13 Tak iż związki moje dla Chrystusa rozgłoszone są po wszystkim pałacu cesarskim i u wszystkich inszych.

So that, my bonds, have become manifest in Christ, in the whole palace, and unto all the rest, —

14 A wiele ich z braci w Panu serca nabywszy z moich związek, śmielszymi są, bez bojaźni mówić słowo.

And [so that], the most of the brethren in the Lord, assured by my bonds, are becoming more abundantly bold to be fearlessly speaking the word of God: —

15 Wszakże niektórzy z zazdrości i z sporu, a niektórzy też z dobrej woli Chrystusa każą.

Some, indeed, by reason of envy and strife—some, however, by reason of good will—are proclaiming, the Christ:

16 A ci, którzy z sporu Chrystusa opowiadają nieszczerze, mniemają, iż przydawają ucisku związkom moim;

These, indeed, out of love, knowing that, for the defence of the glad-message, I am set;

17 A którzy z miłości, wiedzą, żem jest wystawiony ku obronie Ewangielii,

But, those, out of faction, are declaring, the Christ, not purely—supposing to rouse up, tribulation, with my bonds.

18 Ale cóż na tem? Owszem jakimkolwiek sposobem, lub postawnie, lub w prawdzie Chrystus bywa opowiadany, i z tego się raduję, i jeszcze się radować będę;

What then? That, in any way, whether in pretext, or in truth, Christ, is declared, and, in this, I rejoice—yea, and will rejoice!

19 Gdyż wiem, iż mi to wynijdzie na zbawienie przez modlitwę waszę i pomoc Ducha Jezusa Chrystusa,

For I know that, this, shall turn unto me for salvation—through your supplication, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, —

20 Według troskliwego oczekiwania i nadziei mojej, iż się w niczem nie zawstydzę; ale z wszelakiem bezpieczeństwem, jako zawsze, tak i teraz, uwielbionym będzie Chrystus w ciele mojem, lub przez żywot, lub przez śmierć.

According to my eager outlook and hope, that, in nothing, shall I be put to shame, but, with all freedom of speech, as always, now also, shall Christ be magnified in my body, whether through means of life, or of death.

21 Albowiem mnie życiem jest Chrystus, a umrzeć zysk.

For, unto me—living, is Christ, and, dying, gain.

22 A jeźliż żyć w ciele jest mi to owocem pracy mojej, jednak nie wiem, co bym obrać miał.

But, if living in flesh, [is Christ], this, unto me, is a fruit of work, —and, what I shall choose, I make not known:

23 Albowiem jestem ściśniony od tego obojga, pragnąc być rozwiązany, a być z Chrystusem, bo to daleko lepiej:

I am held in constraint, however, by reason of the two, —having, the coveting, to be released, and to be with, Christ, for it were far better!

24 Ale zostać w ciele potrzebniej jest dla was.

But, to abide still in the flesh, is more needful for your sake;

25 A będąc tego pewien, wiem, iż zostanę i z wami wszystkimi pomieszkam ku waszemu pomnożeniu i weselu wiary,

And, of, this, being assured, know that I shall abide, —yea abide with you all, for your advancement, and the joy of your faith;

26 Aby obfitowała chluba wasza w Chrystusie Jezusie ze mnie, gdy do was zasię przybędę.

In order that, your matter of boasting, may be more abundant in Christ Jesus, regarding me, through my own presence again with you.

27 Tylko się tak sprawujcie, jako przystoi Ewangielii Chrystusowej, abym, lub przyjdę i oglądam was, lub nie przyjdę, słyszał o was, iż stoicie w jednym duchu, jednomyślnie bojując w wierze Ewangielii.

Only, in a manner worthy of the glad-message of the Christ, be using your citizenship; in order that—whether coming and seeing you, or being absent, I may hear of the things which concern you—that ye are standing fast in one spirit, with one soul, joining for the combat along with the faith of the glad-message;

28 Ani w czem nie strachając się przeciwników, co onym jest pewnym znakiem zginienia, a wam zbawienia, a to od Boga;

And not being affrighted in anything by the opposers, —the which, is, unto them, a token of destruction, although of your salvation, and this from God;

29 Gdyż wam to dane dla Chrystusa, abyście nie tylko weń wierzyli, ale abyście też dla niego cierpieli,

Because, unto you, hath it been given as a favour, in behalf of Christ, not only, on him, to believe, but also, in his behalf, to suffer: —

30 Tenże bój mając, jakiście widzieli we mnie, i jaki teraz o mnie słyszycie.

Having, the same contest, which ye have seen in me, and now hear to be in me.
