1 I stało się po onej pladze, że mówił Pan do Mojżesza i do Eleazara, syna Aarona kapłana, mówiąc:

And it comes to pass, after the plague, that YHWH speaks to Moses and to Eleazar son of Aaron the priest, saying,

2 Policzcie poczet wszystkiego zgromadzenia synów Izraelskich, od tych, którzy mają dwadzieścia lat i wyżej, według domów ojców ich, każdego któryby mógł wynijść na wojnę z Izraela.

“Take a census of all the congregation of the sons of Israel, from a son of twenty years and upward, by the house of their fathers, everyone going out to the host in Israel.”

3 Tedy rzekł Mojżesz, i Eleazar kapłan do nich na polach Moabskich, nad Jordanem przeciw Jerychu, mówiąc:

And Moses speaks—Eleazar the priest also—with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, [near] Jericho, saying,

4 Liczcie lud, od tych, którzy mają dwadzieścia lat i wyżej, jako był rozkazał Pan Mojżeszowi, i synom Izraelskim, gdy wyszli z ziemi Egipskiej.

“From a son of twenty years and upward,” as YHWH has commanded Moses and the sons of Israel who are coming out from the land of Egypt.

5 Ruben pierworodny Izraela: synowie Rubenowi Henoch, od którego poszedł dom Henochytów; Fallu, od którego dom Faalluitów;

Reuben, firstborn of Israel—sons of Reuben: of Enoch [is] the family of the Enochite; of Pallu the family of the Palluite;

6 I Hesron, od którego dom Hesronitów; Charmi, od którego dom Charmitów.

of Hezron the family of the Hezronite; of Carmi the family of the Carmite.

7 Teć są domy Rubenitów; a było ich policzonych czterdzieści i trzy tysiące, siedem set i trzydzieści.

These [are] families of the Reubenite, and their numbered ones are forty-three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.

8 A syn Fallów Elijab.

And the son of Pallu [is] Eliab;

9 Synowie zasię Elijabowi byli: Namuel, i Datan, i Abiron. A ci, Datan i Abiron, zacniejsi byli między zgromadzeniem, którzy się swarzyli z Mojżeszem i z Aaronem w spiknieniu Korego, gdy się zbuntowali przeciwko Panu.

and the sons of Eliab [are] Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram; this [is that] Dathan and Abiram, called ones of the congregation, who have striven against Moses and against Aaron in the congregation of Korah, in their striving against YHWH,

10 I otworzyła ziemia usta swoje, a pożarła onych, i Korego, gdy zginęła ona rota, a pożarł ich ogień dwie cię i pięćdziesiąt mężów, którzy się stali na przykład innym;

and the earth opens her mouth, and swallows them and Korah, in the death of the congregation, in the fire consuming the two hundred and fifty men, and they become a sign;

11 Ale synowie Korego nie pomarli.

but the sons of Korah did not die.

12 Synowie Symeonowi wedle domów swych, ci są: Namuel, od którego poszedł dom Namuelitów; Jamin, od którego dom Jaminitów; Jachin, od którego dom Jachinitów; Zare, od którego dom Zareitów;

Sons of Simeon by their families: of Nemuel [is] the family of the Nemuelite; of Jamin the family of the Jaminite; of Jachin the family of the Jachinite;

13 Saul, od którego dom Saulitów.

of Zerah the family of the Zerahite; of Shaul the family of the Shaulite.

14 Teć były domy Symeonitów, których było dwadzieścia i dwa tysiące i dwieście.

These [are] families of the Simeonite—twenty-two thousand and two hundred.

15 Synowie Gadowi według domów swych: Sefon, od którego poszedł dom Sefonitów; Aggi, od którego dom Aggitów; Suni, od którego dom Sunitów.

Sons of Gad by their families: of Zephon [is] the family of the Zephonite; of Haggi the family of the Haggite; of Shuni the family of the Shunite;

16 Ozni, od którego dom Oznitów; Hery, od którego dom Herytów;

of Ozni the family of the Oznite; of Eri the family of the Erite:

17 Arod, od którego dom Arodytów; Aryjel, od którego dom Aryjelitów.

of Arod the family of the Arodite; of Areli the family of the Arelite.

18 Teć są domy synów Gadowych, według pocztów ich czterdzieści tysięcy i pięć set.

These [are] families of the sons of Gad by their numbered ones—forty thousand and five hundred.

19 Synowie Judowi: Her, i Onan; ale pomarli Her i Onan w ziemi Chananejskiej.

Sons of Judah [are] Er and Onan; and Er dies—Onan also—in the land of Canaan.

20 I byli synowie Judowi wedle domów swych: Sela, od którego poszedł dom Selaitów; Fares, od którego dom Faresytów; Zare, od którego dom Zarejczyków;

And sons of Judah by their families are: of Shelah the family of the Shelanite; of Perez the family of the Perezite; of Zerah the family of the Zerahite;

21 Byli też synowie Faresowi: Hesron, od którego dom Hesronitów; Hamuel, od którego dom Hamuelitów.

and sons of Perez are: of Hezron the family of the Hezronite; of Hamul the family of the Hamulite.

22 Teć są domy Judy, według pocztów ich siedemdziesiąt tysięcy, i sześć, i pięć set.

These [are] families of Judah by their numbered ones—seventy-six thousand and five hundred.

23 Synowie Isascharowi według domów swych: Tola, od którego dom Tolaitów; Fua, od którego dom Fuaitów;

Sons of Issachar by their families: of Tola [is] the family of the Tolaite; of Pua the family of the Punite;

24 Jasub, od którego dom Jasubitów; Semram, od którego dom Semramitów.

of Jashub the family of the Jashubite; of Shimron the family of the Shimronite.

25 Teć są domy Isascharowe, wedle pocztów ich sześćdziesiąt tysięcy i cztery, i trzy sta.

These [are] families of Issachar by their numbered ones—sixty-four thousand and three hundred.

26 Synowie Zabulonowi według domów swych: Zared, od którego dom Zaredczyków; Elon, od którego dom Elonitów; Jaleel, od którego dom Jaleelitów.

Sons of Zebulun by their families: of Sered [is] the family of the Sardite; of Elon the family of the Elonite; of Jahleel the family of the Jahleelite.

27 A teć są domy Zabulonitów, według pocztów ich sześćdziesiąt tysięcy i pięć set.

These [are] families of the Zebulunite by their numbered ones—sixty thousand and five hundred.

28 Synowie Józefowi według domów swych: Manases i Efraim.

Sons of Joseph by their families [are] Manasseh and Ephraim.

29 Synowie Manasesowi: Machir, od którego dom Machirytów; a Machir spłodził Galaada, od Galaada dom Galaadytów.

Sons of Manasseh: of Machir [is] the family of the Machirite; and Machir has begotten Gilead; of Gilead [is] the family of the Gileadite.

30 Ci są synowie Galaadowi: Jezer, od którego dom Jezerytów; Chelek, od którego dom Chelekitów;

These [are] sons of Gilead: of Jeezer [is] the family of the Jeezerite; of Helek the family of the Helekite;

31 I Asryjel, od którego dom Asryjelitów; i Sechem, od którego dom Sechemitów;

and of Asriel the family of the Asrielite; and of Shechem the family of the Shechemite;

32 I Semida, od którego dom Semidaitów; i Chefer, od którego dom Cheferytów.

and of Shemida the family of the Shemidaite; and of Hepher the family of the Hepherite.

33 A Salfaad, syn Cheferów, nie miał synów, tylko córki, a imiona córek Salfaadowych: Machla, i Noa, Hegla, Melcha, i Tersa.

And Zelophehad son of Hepher had no sons, but [only] daughters, and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad [are] Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

34 Teć są domy Manasesowe, a poczet ich pięćdziesiąt i dwa tysiące i siedem set.

These [are] families of Manasseh, and their numbered ones [are] fifty-two thousand and seven hundred.

35 Synowie zaś Efraimowi według domów swych: Sutala, od którego dom Sutalitów; Becher, od którego dom Becherytów; Techen, od którego dom Techenitów.

These [are] sons of Ephraim by their families: of Shuthelah [is] the family of the Shuthelhite; of Becher the family of the Bachrite; of Tahan the family of the Tahanite.

36 A ci są synowie Sutalego: Heran, od którego dom Heranitów.

And these [are] sons of Shuthelah: of Eran the family of the Eranite.

37 Teć są domy synów Efraimowych, według pocztów ich trzydzieści tysięcy i dwa, i pięć set. Ci są synowie Józefowi według domów swych.

These [are] families of the sons of Ephraim by their numbered ones—thirty-two thousand and five hundred. These [are] sons of Joseph by their families.

38 A synowie Benjaminowi według domów swych, ci są: Bela, od którego dom Belitów; Asbel, od którego dom Asbelitów; Achiram, od którego dom Achiramitów;

Sons of Benjamin by their families: of Bela [is] the family of the Belaite; of Ashbel the family of the Ashbelite; of Ahiram the family of the Ahiramite;

39 Sufam, od którego dom Sufamitów; Hufam, od którego dom Hufamitów.

of Shupham the family of the Shuphamite; of Hupham the family of the Huphamite.

40 Byli też synowie Beli: Hereda i Noemana; z Hereda dom Heredytów, a z Noemana dom Noemanitów.

And sons of Bela are Ard and Naaman: [of Ard is] the family of the Ardite; of Naaman the family of the Naamite.

41 Cić są synowie Benjaminowi, według domów ich, a poczet ich czterdzieści i pięć tysięcy i sześć set.

These [are] sons of Benjamin by their families, and their numbered ones [are] forty-five thousand and six hundred.

42 Synowie zaś Danowi według domów swych: Sucham, od którego dom Suchamitów. Teć były domy Danowe według familii ich.

These [are] sons of Dan by their families: of Shuham [is] the family of the Shuhamite; these [are] families of Dan by their families;

43 Wszystkie domy Suchamitów według pocztów ich sześćdziesiąt i cztery tysiące i cztery sta.

all the families of the Shuhamite by their numbered ones—sixty-four thousand and four hundred.

44 Synowie Aserowi według domów swych byli: Jemna, od którego dom Jemnitów; Iswi, od którego dom Iswitów; Beryja, od którego dom Berytów.

Sons of Asher by their families: of Jimna [is] the family of the Jimnite; of Jesui the family of the Jesuite; of Beriah the family of the Beriite.

45 Synowie Beryjego: Heber, od którego dom Heberytów; Melchyjel, od którego dom Melchyjelitów.

Of sons of Beriah: of Heber [is] the family of the Heberite; of Malchiel the family of the Malchielite.

46 A imię córki Aserowej było Sara.

And the name of the daughter of Asher [is] Sarah.

47 Te są domy synów Aserowych, według pocztów ich pięćdziesiąt i trzy tysiące i cztery sta.

These [are] families of the sons of Asher by their numbered ones—fifty-three thousand and four hundred.

48 Synowie Neftalimowi według domów swych: Jachsel, od którego dom Jachselitów; Guni, od którego dom Gunitów; Jesser, od którego dom Jesserytów.

Sons of Naphtali by their families: of Jahzeel [is] the family of the Jahzeelite; of Guni the family of the Gunite;

49 Selem, od którego dom Selemitów.

of Jezer the family of the Jezerite; of Shillem the family of the Shillemite.

50 Teć są domy Neftalimowe, według familii ich, a poczet ich czterdzieści i pięć tysięcy i cztery sta.

These [are] families of Naphtali by their families, and their numbered ones [are] forty-five thousand and four hundred.

51 Tać jest liczba synów Izraelskich, sześć kroć sto tysięcy i tysiąc, siedem set i trzydzieści.

These [are] numbered ones of the sons of Israel—six hundred thousand and one thousand seven hundred and thirty.

52 Zatem rzekł Pan do Mojżesza, mówiąc:

And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,

53 Między te podzielicie tę ziemię w dziedzictwo według liczby imion.

“The land is apportioned to these by inheritance, by the number of names;

54 Większej liczbie więcej dziedzictwa dasz, a mniejszej mniejsze dziedzictwo dasz; każdemu według pocztów policzonych jego będzie dane dziedzictwo jego.

to the many you increase their inheritance, and to the few you diminish their inheritance; each is given his inheritance according to his numbered ones.

55 Wszakże losem niech będzie rozdzielona ziemia; według imion pokoleń ojców swych dziedzictwo brać będą.

Surely the land is apportioned by lot; they inherit by the names of the tribes of their fathers;

56 Losem rozdzielone będzie dziedzictwo jej bądź ich wiele bądź mało będzie.

their inheritance is apportioned according to the lot between many and few.”

57 Ci zasię są policzeni z Lewitów według domów swych: Gerson, od którego dom Gersonitów; Kaat, od którego dom Kaatytów; Merary, od którego dom Merarytów.

And these [are] numbered ones of the Levite by their families: of Gershon [is] the family of the Gershonite; of Kohath the family of the Kohathite; of Merari the family of the Merarite.

58 Teć są domy Lewi: dom Libnitów, dom Hebronitów, dom Moholitów, dom Musytów, dom Korytów; a Kaat spłodził Amrama.

These [are] families of the Levite: the family of the Libnite, the family of the Hebronite, the family of the Mahlite, the family of the Mushite, the family of the Korathite. And Kohath has begotten Amram,

59 A imię żony Amramowej było Jochabod, córka Lewiego, która mu się urodziła w Egipcie; ta Amramowi urodziła Aarona, i Mojżesza, i Maryją, siostrę ich.

and the name of Amram’s wife is Jochebed, daughter of Levi, whom has been born to Levi in Egypt; and she bears to Amram Aaron, and Moses, and their sister Miriam.

60 Aaronowi też urodzili się Nadabi i Abiju, Eleazar i Itamar.

And born to Aaron [are] Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar;

61 Ale pomarli Nadab i Abiju, gdy ofiarowali ogień obcy przed Panem.

and Nadab dies—Abihu also—in their bringing strange fire near before YHWH.

62 A była liczba ich dwadzieścia i trzy tysiące, wszystkich mężczyzn urodzonych od miesiąca i wyżej; jednak nie byli policzeni między syny Izraelskie, bo im nie dano dziedzictwa między syny Izraelskimi.

And their numbered ones are twenty-three thousand, every male from a son of a month and upwards, for they have not numbered themselves in the midst of the sons of Israel, because an inheritance has not been given to them in the midst of the sons of Israel.

63 Ci policzeni byli od Mojżesza i Eleazara kapłana, którzy policzyli syny Izraelskie na polach Moabskich, nad Jordanem przeciw Jerychu.

These [are] those numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who have numbered the sons of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, [near] Jericho;

64 A między tymi nie był żaden z onych policzonych od Mojżesza i Aarona kapłana, gdy liczyli syny Izraelskie na puszczy Synaj;

and among these there has not been a man of those numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest, who numbered the sons of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai,

65 Bo rzekł był Pan o nich: Śmiercią pomrą na puszczy; a nie został żaden z nich, oprócz Kaleba, syna Jefunowego, i Jozuego, syna Nunowego.

for YHWH said of them, “They certainly die in the wilderness”; and there has not been left a man of them, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
