1 Słowo Pańskie, które się stało do Micheasza Morastytczyka za dni Joatama, Achaza, i Ezechyjasza, królów Judzkich, które w widzeniu słyszał o Samaryi i o Jeruzalemie.
The word of Jehovah, which came to Micah, the Morasthite, in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah; which was revealed to him concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2 Słuchajcie wszystkie narody! niech słucha ziemia, i wszystko, co na niej jest, a niech będzie panujący Pan przeciwko wam świadkiem, panujący z kościoła świętobliwości swojej.
Hear, all ye nations, Give ear, O earth, and all that is therein! The Lord, Jehovah, appeareth as a witness against you, The Lord from his holy palace.
3 Bo oto Pan wyjdzie z miejsca swojego, a zstąpiwszy deptać będzie po wysokościach ziemi;
Behold, Jehovah cometh forth from his dwelling-place; He cometh down, and advanceth upon the high places of the earth.
4 I rozpłyną się góry pod nim, a doliny popadają się, tak jako wosk od ognia, i jako wody, które spadają na dół.
The mountains melt under him, And the valleys cleave asunder, Like wax before the fire, Like waters poured down a steep place.
5 To wszystko się stanie dla przestępstwa Jakóbowego, i dla grzechów domu Izraelskiego. Któż jest przyczyną przestępstwa Jakóbowego? izali nie Samaryja? i któż wyżyn Judzkich? izali nie Jeruzalem?
For the transgression of Jacob is all this, And for the sin of the house of Israel. Where is the transgression of Jacob? Is it not at Samaria? And where are the high places of Judah? Are they not at Jerusalem?
6 Przetoż obrócę Samaryję w gromadę gruzu, jako bywa na polu około winnic, i powrzucam w dolinę kamienie jej, a grunty jej odkryję.
Therefore will I make Samaria a heap of stones in the field, A place for the planting of a vineyard; I will pour down her stones into the valley, And lay bare her foundations.
7 I wszystkie obrazy jej ryte będą potłuczone, i wszystkie jej dary ogniem spalone, i wszystkie jej bałwany obrócę w pustynię; bo to z zapłaty nierządnicy zgromadziła, przetoż się to zaś na zapłatę nierządnicy obróci.
All her graven images shall be beaten to pieces, And all the hire of her harlotry shall be burned with fire, And all her idols will I destroy. For from the hire of a harlot did she gather her ornaments, And to the hire of a harlot shall they return.
8 Nad tem kwilić i narzekać będę, chodząc zewleczony i nagi; uczynię lament jako smoki i narzekanie jako młode strusięta;
Therefore I will wail and howl; I will go stripped and naked; I will wail like the jackal, And mourn like the ostrich.
9 Przeto, że nieuleczone są rany jej, gdyż doszły aż do Judy, a dosięgły do bramy ludu mego aż do Jeruzalemu.
For her wound is mortal; It extendeth to Judah; It reacheth to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.
10 W Giet tego nie opowiadajcie, ani kwiląc płaczcie; walaj się w prochu w domu Orfa;
Tell it not in Gath! weep not in Acco! In Beth-Aprah roll yourselves in the dust!
11 Przejdziesz ty, która mieszkasz na miejscu pięknem, obnażoną mając hańbę; nie wnijdzie ta, która mieszka na miejscu w bydło obfitem; płacz będzie w miejscach okolicznych, które od was mają żywność swoję.

12 Będzie bowiem bolesna dla dobrych rzeczy ta, która mieszka na miejscach przykrych, przeto, że zstąpi złe od Pana aż do bramy Jeruzalemskiej.
The inhabitant of Maroth mourneth for his goods, For evil came down from Jehovah to the gates of Jerusalem.
13 Zaprzęż w wóz prędkie konie, obywatelko Lachys! któraś powodem grzechu córki Syońskiej, gdyż w tobie znalezione są przestępstwa Izraelskie.
Bind the chariot to the courser, O inhabitant of Lachish! Thou wast the beginning of sin to the daughter of Zion; In thee were found the transgressions of Israel.
14 Przetoż poślę upominki swe do Moreset w Giet; domy Achzyb na oszukanie będą królom Izraelskim.
Therefore shalt thou resign the possession of Moresheth of Gath; The houses of Achzib shall disappoint the kings of Israel.
15 Jeszczeć dziedzice przywiodę, o obywatelko Maresy! przyjdzie aż do Odollam, i aż do chwały Izraelskiej.
A possessor will I bring to thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah; The glory of Israel shall flee to Adullam.
16 Obłyś się i ostrzyż się dla synów rozkoszy twoich; rozszerz łysinę twoję jako orzeł, bo się prowadzą od ciebie.
Make thyself bald, cut off thy locks, for the children of thy love; Enlarge thy baldness like the eagle; For they have gone from thee into captivity.
