Micheasza 5
1 Zbierzże się teraz w hufy, o walecznico! oblęż nas; niech laską biją w lice sędziego Izraelskiego.
Yet now gather yourselves in troops, O people of troops! They lay siege against us; With a rod they smite the cheek of the judge of Israel.
2 Ale ty, Betlehemie Efrata! acześ najmniejszy między tysiącami Judzkimi, z ciebie mi jednak wyjdzie ten, który będzie panującym w Izraelu, a wyjścia jego są z dawna, ode dni wiecznych.
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, Who art small to be among the thousands of Judah, Out of thee shall he come forth for me to be ruler in Israel, Whose origin is from the ancient age, from the days of old!
3 Przetoż choć ich wyda w rozproszenie aż do czasu, któregoby rodząca porodziła, wszakże ostatek braci jego nawrócą się z synami Izraelskimi.
But He [[Jehovah]] shall deliver them up, Until she that bringeth forth hath brought forth; Then shall the residue of his brethren return to the children of Israel.
4 I stanie się a paść ich będzie w sile Pańskiej, i w sławie imienia Pana, Boga swego; i będą mieszkać, bo już wielmożnym będzie aż do granic ziemi.
He shall stand and rule in the strength of Jehovah, In the majesty of Jehovah, his God; And they shall dwell in security, For he shall be great even to the ends of the earth.
5 I będzie taki pokój, że gdy Assyryjczyk wtargnie w ziemię naszę, i gdy podepcze pałace nasze, tedy wystawimy przeciw niemu siedmiu pasterzy, i ośmiu książąt z ludu.
And he shall be peace. When the Assyrian shall come into our land, To trample upon our palaces, Then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, And eight leaders of the people,
6 Ci wypasą ziemię Assyryjską mieczem, i ziemię Nimrodową w granicach ich; a tak wyrwie nas Assyryjczykowi, gdy przyciągnie do ziemi naszej, i gdy będzie deptał granicę nasze.
And they shall devour the land of Assyria with the sword, The land of Nimrod within her gates. Thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, And treadeth in our borders.
7 Przetoż ostatki Jakóbowe w pośrodku wielu narodów będą jako rosa od Pana, jako ciche deszcze skrapiające trawę, których się nie spodziewa od człowieka, ani ich czeka od synów ludzkich.
The residue of Jacob shall be in the midst of many nations As the dew which cometh from Jehovah, As drops of rain upon the grass, Which tarrieth not for man, Nor waiteth for the sons of men.
8 Będą też ostatki Jakóbowe między poganami w pośrodku wielu narodów jako lew między zwierzętami leśnemi, a jako szczenię lwie między trzodą owiec, które gdy idzie, a depcze i łapie, niemasz nikogo, ktoby wydarł.
The residue of Jacob shall be among the nations, In the midst of many kingdoms, As a lion among the beasts of the forest, As a young lion among flocks of sheep, Who, when he assaulteth, treadeth down and teareth, and none can deliver.
9 Wywyższy się ręka twoja nad nieprzyjaciołmi twoimi, a wszyscy przeciwnicy twoi wykorzenieni będą.
Thy hand shall be lifted up over thine adversaries, And all thine enemies shall be destroyed!
10 I stanie się dnia onego, mówi Pan, że wytracę konie twoje z pośrodku ciebie, a wozy twoje popsuję,
It shall come to pass in that day, saith Jehovah, That I will destroy thy horses from the midst of thee, And I will consume thy chariots;
11 I wygubię miasta ziemi twojej, a poburzę wszystkie twierdze twoje.
I will destroy the fortified cities of thy land, And throw down all thy strongholds;
12 Wygubię też gusła z ciebie, a wieszczków nie będzie w tobie.
I will destroy sorceries from thy borders, And soothsayers shall not be with thee.
13 Wygubię też ryte bałwany twoje i obrazy twoje z pośrodku ciebie, a nie będziesz się więcej kłaniał robocie rąk twoich.
I will destroy thy graven images and thy statues from the midst of thee, And thou shalt no more bow down to the work of thine hands;
14 Wykorzenię i gaje twoje z pośrodku ciebie, a wygładzę nieprzyjaciół twoich.
I will root out thy Astartes from the midst of thee, And I will destroy thy fortified cities;
15 A tak w gniewie i w zapalczywości wykonam pomstę nad narodami, które nie były posłuszne.
And I will execute vengeance in anger and in fury Upon the nations which have not hearkened to me.
