Mateusza 8
1 A gdy zstępował z góry, szedł za nim wielki lud;
When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed him.
2 A oto trędowaty przyszedłszy, pokłonił mu się, mówiąc: Panie! jeźli chcesz, możesz mnie oczyścić.
And behold, a leper came and bowed down before him, saying, “Lord, if yoʋ are willing, yoʋ can make me clean.”
3 I wyciągnąwszy Jezus rękę, dotknął się go, mówiąc: Chcę, bądź oczyszczony; i zaraz oczyszczony jest trąd jego.
So Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be made clean.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4 Tedy mu rzekł Jezus: Patrz, abyś nikomu nie powiadał, ale idź, ukaż się kapłanowi, i ofiaruj dar on, który przykazał Mojżesz na świadectwo przeciwko nim.
Then Jesus said to him, “Be sure not to tell anyone about this, but go show yoʋrself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
5 A gdy Jezus wszedł do Kapernaum, przyszedł do niego setnik, prosząc go,
When Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him and pleaded with him,
6 I mówiąc: Panie! sługa mój leży w domu powietrzem ruszony, i ciężko się trapi.
saying, “Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly.”
7 I rzekł mu Jezus: Ja przyjdę i uzdrowię go.
Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”
8 A odpowiadając setnik rzekł: Panie! nie jestem godzien, abyś wszedł pod dach mój; ale tylko rzecz słowo, a będzie uzdrowiony sługa mój.
But the centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have yoʋ enter under my roof, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
9 Bomci i ja człowiek pod mocą innego, mający pod sobą żołnierze; i mówię temu: Idź, a idzie; a drugiemu: Przyjdź, a przychodzi; a słudze memu: Czyń to, a czyni.
For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10 A gdy to usłyszał Jezus, zadziwił się, i rzekł tym, którzy szli za nim: Zaprawdę powiadam wam: Anim w Izraelu tak wielkiej wiary nie znalazł.
When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those who were following him, “Truly I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith.
11 A powiadam wam: Iż wiele ich od wschodu i od zachodu słońca przyjdzie, a usiądą za stołem z Abrahamem i z Izaakiem i z Jakóbem w królestwie niebieskiem.
I tell you that many will come from east and west, and recline with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the banquet table in the kingdom of heaven,
12 Ale synowie królestwa będą wyrzuceni w ciemności zewnętrzne, tam będzie płacz i zgrzytanie zębów.
but the sons of the kingdom will be cast into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
13 I rzekł Jezus setnikowi: Idź, a jakoś uwierzył, niech ci się stanie; i uzdrowiony jest sługa jego onejże godziny.
Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go; it will be done for you just as yoʋ have believed.” And his servant was healed in that hour.
14 A gdy Jezus przyszedł do domu Piotrowego, ujrzał świekrę jego, leżącą na łożu i mającą gorączkę.
When Jesus came into Peter's house, he saw Peter's mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever.
15 I dotknął się ręki jej, i opuściła ją gorączka; i wstała, a posługowała im.
So he touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then she rose and began to serve him.
16 A gdy był wieczór, przywiedli do niego wiele opętanych: i wyganiał duchy słowem; i wszystkie, którzy się źle mieli, uzdrawiał;
When evening came, many who were possessed by demons were brought to him, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick.
17 Aby się wypełniło, co powiedziano przez Izajasza proroka, mówiącego: On niemocy nasze na się wziął, a choroby nasze nosił.
This was to fulfill what had been spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “He took our infirmities and bore our diseases.”
18 A widząc Jezus wielki lud około siebie, kazał się przeprawić na drugą stronę morza.
When Jesus saw the large crowds around him, he gave orders to depart to the other side of the sea.
19 Tedy przystąpiwszy niektóry z nauczonych w Piśmie, rzekł mu: Mistrzu! pójdę za tobą, gdziekolwiek pójdziesz.
Then a scribe came up and said to him, “Teacher, I will follow yoʋ wherever yoʋ go.”
20 I rzekł mu Jezus: Liszki mają jamy, a ptaki niebieskie gniazda; ale Syn człowieczy nie ma, gdzie by głowę skłonił.
Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”
21 A drugi z uczniów jego rzekł mu: Panie! dopuść mi pierwej odejść i pogrześć ojca mego;
Then another of his disciples said to him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”
22 Ale mu Jezus rzekł: Pójdź za mną, a niechaj umarli grzebią umarłe swoje.
But Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”
23 A gdy on wstąpił w łódź, wstąpili za nim i uczniowie jego.
Then he got into the boat, and his disciples followed him.
24 A oto się wzruszenie wielkie stało na morzu, tak iż się łódź wałami okrywała; a on spał.
And behold, a great storm arose on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves. But Jesus was asleep.
25 A przystąpiwszy uczniowie jego, obudzili go, mówiąc: Panie! ratuj nas, giniemy.
So the disciples came to him and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
26 I rzekł do nich: Przeczże jesteście bojaźliwi? o małowierni! Tedy wstawszy, zgromił wiatry i morze, i stało się uciszenie wielkie.
But he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
27 A ludzie się dziwowali, mówiąc: Jakiż to jest ten, że mu i wiatry i morze posłuszne są?
And the men were amazed, saying, “What kind of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?”
28 A gdy się on przewiózł na drugą stronę do krainy Giergiezeńczyków, zabieżeli mu dwaj opętani z grobów wychodzący, bardzo okrutni, tak iż nie mógł nikt przechodzić oną drogą.
When Jesus came to the other side of the sea, to the region of the Gergesenes, he was met by two demon-possessed men who had come out of the tombs. They were so fierce that no one could pass by that way.
29 A oto zakrzyknęli, mówiąc: Cóż my z tobą mamy, Jezusie, Synu Boży? Przyszedłeś tu przed czasem, dręczyć nas?
And behold, they cried out, “What do yoʋ have to do with us, Jesus, Son of God? Have yoʋ come here to torment us before the appointed time?”
30 I była daleko od nich trzoda wielka świń pasących się.
Now at a distance from them there was a herd of many pigs feeding.
31 Tedy go dyjabli prosili, mówiąc: Jeźli nas wyganiasz, dopuść nam wnijść w trzodę tych świń.
So the demons begged Jesus, “If yoʋ cast us out, let us go into the herd of pigs.”
32 I rzekł im: Idźcie. A oni wyszedłszy, weszli w onę trzodę świń, a oto porwawszy się ona wszystka trzoda świń, z przykra wpadła w morze, i pozdychała w wodach.
He said to them, “Go.” So they came out and went into the herd of pigs, and behold, the whole herd of pigs rushed down the steep bank into the sea and died in the water.
33 Lecz pasterze uciekli, a poszedłszy do miasta, opowiedzieli wszystko, i to, co się z onymi opętanymi stało.
Those who had been feeding the pigs then ran off, went into the city, and reported everything, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men.
34 A oto wszystko miasto wyszło przeciwko Jezusowi, a ujrzawszy go prosili, aby z ich granic odszedł.
And behold, the whole city went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they begged him to depart from their region.
