Łukasza 21
1 A spojrzawszy ujrzał bogacze rzucające dary swoje do skarbnicy.
Looking up, Jesus saw the rich people putting their gifts into the chests for the Temple offerings.
2 Ujrzał też i niektórą wdowę ubożuchną, wrzucającą tamże dwa drobne pieniążki.
He saw, too, a widow in poor circumstances putting two farthings into them.
3 I rzekł: Prawdziwieć wam powiadam, żeć ta uboga wdowa więcej niż ci wszyscy wrzuciła.
On this he said: “I tell you that this poor widow has put in more than all the others;
4 Ci bowiem wszyscy z tego, co im zbywało, wrzucili do darów Bożych, ale ta z niedostatku swego wszystkę żywność, którą miała, wrzuciła.
for every one else here put in something from what he had to spare, while she, in her need, has put in all she had to live upon.”
5 A gdy niektórzy mówili o kościele, iż był pięknym kamieniem i upominkami ozdobiony, rzekł:
When some of them spoke about the Temple being decorated with beautiful stones and offerings, Jesus said:
6 Z tego, co widzicie, przyjdą dni, w które nie będzie zostawiony kamień na kamieniu, który by nie był rozwalony.
“As for these things that you are looking at, a time is coming when not one stone will be left upon another here, which will not be thrown down.”
7 I pytali go, mówiąc: Nauczycielu! kiedyż to będzie? a co za znak, gdy się to będzie miało dziać?
So the disciples questioned Jesus: “But, Teacher, when will this be? and what sign will there be when this is near?”
8 A on rzekł: Patrzcie, abyście nie byli zwiedzeni; boć wiele ich przyjdzie w imieniu mojem, mówiąc: Jam jest Chrystus, a czas się przybliżył; nie udawajcież się tedy za nimi.
And Jesus said: “See that you are not led astray; for many will take my name, and come saying ‘I am He,’ and ‘The time is close at hand.’ Do not follow them.
9 A gdy usłyszycie o wojnach i rozruchach, nie lękajcie się; albowiem musi to być pierwej, aleć jeszcze nie tu jest koniec.
And, when you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified, for these things must occur first; but the end will not be at once.”
10 Tedy im mówił: Powstanie naród przeciwko narodowi, i królestwo przeciwko królestwu;
Then he said to them: “‘Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom,’
11 I będą miejscami wielkie trzęsienia ziemi, i głody i mory, także strachy i znaki wielkie z nieba będą.
And there will be great earthquakes, and plagues and famines in various places, and there will be terrible appearances and signs in the heavens.
12 Ale przed tem wszystkiem wrzucą na was ręce swoje, i będą was prześladować, podawając do bóżnic i do więzienia, wodząc przed króle i przed starosty dla imienia mego.
Before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you, and they will betray you to Synagogues and put you in prison, when you will be brought before kings and governors for the sake of my Name.
13 A to was spotka na świadectwo.
Then will be your opportunity of witnessing for me.
14 Przetoż złóżcie to do serc waszych, abyście przed czasem nie myślili, jako byście odpowiadać mieli.
Make up your minds, therefore, not to prepare your defence;
15 Albowiem ja wam dam usta i mądrość, której nie będą mogli odeprzeć, ani się sprzeciwić wszyscy przeciwnicy wasi.
for I will myself give you words, and a wisdom which all your opponents together will be unable to resist or defy.
16 A będziecie też wydani od rodziców i od braci i od krewnych i od przyjaciół, i zabiją niektóre z was;
You will be betrayed even by your parents and brothers and sisters and relations and friends, and they will cause some of you to be put to death,
17 Będziecie w nienawiści u wszystkich dla imienia mego.
and you will be hated by every one on account of my Name.
18 Ale ani włos z głowy waszej nie zginie.
Yet not a single hair of your heads shall be lost!
19 W cierpliwości waszej posiadajcie dusze wasze.
By your endurance you shall win yourselves Life.
20 A gdy ujrzycie Jeruzalem od wojsk otoczone, tedy wiedzcie, żeć się przybliżyło spustoszenie jego.
As soon, however, as you see Jerusalem surrounded by armed camps, then you may know that the hour of her desecration is at hand.
21 Tedy ci, co są w Judzkiej ziemi, niech uciekają na góry, a ci, co są w pośrodku jej, niech wychodzą, a ci, co są w polach, niechaj nie wchodzą do niej.
Then those of you who are in Judea must take refuge in the mountains, those who are in Jerusalem must leave at once, and those who are in the country places must not go into it.
22 Albowiem te dni są pomsty, aby się wypełniło wszystko, co napisane.
For these are to be the Days of Vengeance, when all that Scripture says will be fulfilled.
23 Ale biada brzemiennym i piersiami karmiącym w owe dni! albowiem będzie ucisk wielki w tej ziemi i gniew Boży nad tym ludem.
Alas for the women that are with child, and for those that are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great suffering in the land, and anger against this people.
24 I polegną od ostrza miecza, i zapędzeni będą w niewolę między wszystkie narody, i będzie Jeruzalem deptane od pogan, aż się wypełnią czasy pogan.
They will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be taken prisoners to every land, and ‘Jerusalem will be under the heel of the Gentiles,’ until their day is over — as it shall be.
25 Tedy będą znaki na słońcu i na księżycu i na gwiazdach, a na ziemi uciśnienie narodów z rozpaczą, gdy zaszumi morze i wały;
There will be signs, too, in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth despair among the nations, in their dismay at the roar of the sea and the surge.
26 Tak, iż ludzie drętwieć będą przed strachem i oczekiwaniem tych rzeczy, które przyjdą na wszystek świat; albowiem mocy niebieskie poruszą się.
Men’s hearts will fail them through dread of what is coming upon the world; for ‘the forces of the heavens will be convulsed.’
27 A tedy ujrzą Syna człowieczego, przychodzącego w obłoku z mocą i chwałą wielką.
Then will be seen the ‘Son of Man coming in a cloud’ with power and great glory.
28 A gdy się to pocznie dziać, spoglądajcież a podnoście głowy wasze, przeto iż się przybliża odkupienie wasze.
And, when these things begin to occur, look upwards and lift your heads, for your deliverance will be at hand.”
29 I powiedział im podobieństwo: Spojrzyjcie na figowe drzewo i na wszystkie drzewa;
Then he taught them a lesson thus — “Look at the fig tree and all the other trees.
30 Gdy się już pukają, widząc to sami to uznawacie, że już blisko jest lato.
As soon as they shoot, you know, as you look at them, without being told, that summer is near.
31 Także i wy, gdy ujrzycie, iż się to dzieje, wiedzcie, że blisko jest królestwo Boże.
And so may you, as soon as you see these things happening, know that the Kingdom of God is near.
32 Zaprawdę powiadam wam, żeć nie przeminie ten wiek, ażby się to wszystko stało.
I tell you that even the present generation will not pass away till all has taken place.
33 Niebo i ziemia przeminą, ale słowa moje nie przeminą.
The heavens and the earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
34 A strzeżcie się, aby snać nie były obciążone serca wasze obżarstwem i opilstwem i pieczołowaniem o ten żywot, a nagle by na was przyszedł ten dzień.
Be on your guard lest your minds should ever be dulled by debauches or drunkenness or the anxieties of life, and lest ‘That Day’ should come suddenly upon you, like a snare.
35 Albowiem jako sidło przypadnie na wszystkie, którzy mieszkają na obliczu wszystkiej ziemi.
For come it will upon all who are living upon the face of the whole earth.
36 Przetoż czujcie, modląc się na każdy czas, abyście byli godni ujść tego wszystkiego, co się dziać ma, i stanąć przed Synem człowieczym.
Be on the watch at all times, and pray that you may have strength to escape all that is destined to happen, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.”
37 I nauczał we dnie w kościele; ale w nocy wychodząc, przebywał na górze, którą zowią oliwną.
During the days, Jesus continued to teach in the Temple Courts, but he went out and spent the nights on the hill called the ‘Mount of Olives.’
38 A wszystek lud rano się schodził do niego, aby go słuchał w kościele.
And all the people would get up early in the morning and come to listen to him in the Temple Courts.
