1 Potem czynili synowie Izraelscy złe przed oczyma Pańskiemi, i podał je Pan w ręce Madyjanitów przez siedem lat.
Forsothe the sones of Israel diden yuel in the `siyt of the Lord, and he bitook hem in the hond of Madian seuene yeer.
2 A zmocniła się ręka Madyjanitów nad Izraelem, tak iż przed Madyjanitami kopali sobie synowie Izraelscy lochy, które były w górach, i jaskinie i twierdze.
And thei weren oppressid of hem greetly; and `thei maden dichis, and dennes to hem silf in hillis, and strongeste places to fiyte ayen.
3 A bywało, gdy czego nasiał Izrael, że przychodził Madyjan i Amalek, i ludzie ze wschodu słońca, a najeżdżali go;
And whanne Israel hadde sowe, Madian stiede, and Amalech, and othere of the `naciouns of the eest;
4 I położywszy się obozem przeciwko nim, psowali zboża ziemi, aż gdzie chodzą do Gazy, nic nie zostawując na pożywienie Izraelczykom, ani owiec, ani wołów, ani osłów.
and thei settiden tentis at the sones of Israel, and wastiden alle thingis `as tho weren in eerbis, ethir grene corn, `til to the entryng of Gaza, and outirli thei leften not in Israel ony thing perteynynge to lijf, not scheep, not oxun, not assis.
5 Albowiem oni i stada ich przyciągali, i namioty ich, a przychodzili jako szarańcza w mnóstwie, i nie było im i wielbłądom ich liczby; tak przychodząc do ziemi spustoszyli ją.
For thei and alle her flockis camen with her tabernaclis, and at the licnesse of locustus thei filliden alle thingis, and a multitude of men and of camels was with out noumbre, and wastiden what euer thing thei touchiden.
6 Tedy znędzony był Izrael bardzo od Madyjanitów, i wołali synowie Izraelscy do Pana.
And Israel was `maad low greetli in the siyt of Madian.
7 A gdy wołali synowie Izraelscy do Pana z przyczyny Madyjanitów.
And Israel criede to the Lord, `and axyde help ayens Madianytis; and he sente to hem a man,
8 Posłał Pan męża proroka do synów Izraelskich, i mówił do nich: Tak mówi Pan, Bóg Izraelski: Jam was wywiódł z ziemi Egipskiej, a wywiodłem was z domu niewoli.
a profete, and he spak, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Y made you to stie fro Egipt, and Y ledde you out of the hows of seruage,
9 I wyrwałem was z ręki Egipczanów, i z ręki wszystkich, którzy was trapili, którem przed wami wygnał, i dałem wam ziemię ich;
and Y delyueride you fro the hond of Egipcians, and of alle enemyes that turmentiden you; and Y castide hem out at youre entryng, and Y yaf to you `the lond of hem;
10 A powiedziałem wam: Jam Pan, Bóg wasz, nie bójcież się bogów Amorejskich, w których ziemi wy mieszkacie; aleście nie usłuchali głosu mego.
and Y seide, Y am `youre Lord God; drede ye not the goddis of Ammorreis, in whose lond ye dwellen; and ye nolden here my vois.
11 Przyszedł potem Anioł Pański i stanął pod dębem, który był w Efra, w dziedzictwie Joasa, ojca Esrowego. A Giedeon, syn jego, młócił zboże na bojewisku, aby z niem uciekł przed Madyjanitami.
Forsothe an aungel of the Lord cam, and sat undur an ook, that was in Effra, and perteynede to Joas, fadir of the meinee of Ezri. And whanne Gedeon, `his sone, threischide out, and purgide wheetis in a pressour,
12 Tedy mu się ukazał Anioł Pański, i rzekł do niego: Pan z tobą, mężu waleczny.
that he schulde fle Madian, an aungel of the Lord apperide to hym, and seide, The Lord be with thee, thou strongeste of men.
13 I odpowiedział mu Giedeon: Proszę Panie mój, jeźli Pan jest z nami, a czemuż na nas przyszło to wszystko? gdzież teraz są wszystkie cuda jego, które nam opowiadali ojcowie nasi, mówiąc: Izali z Egiptu nie wywiódł nas Pan? a teraz opuścił nas Pan, i podał nas w ręce Madyjanitów.
And Gedeon seide to hym, My lord, Y biseche, if the Lord is with vs, whi therfor han alle these yuels take vs? Where ben the merueils of hym, whiche oure fadris telden, and seiden, The Lord ledde vs out of Egipt? `Now forsothe he hath forsake vs, and hath bitake vs in the hond of Madian.
14 Tedy wejrzawszy nań Pan rzekł: Idźże z tą twoją mocą, a wybawisz Izraela z ręki Madyjańczyków; izalim cię nie posłał?
And the Lord bihelde to hym, and seide, Go thou in this strengthe of thee, and thou schalt delyuere Israel fro the hond of Madian; wite thou, that Y sente thee.
15 A on rzekł do niego: Proszę Panie mój, czemże wybawię Izraela? oto naród mój podły jest w Manase, a jam najmniejszy w domu ojca mego.
Which Gedeon answeride, and seide, My lord, Y biseche, in what thing schal Y delyuere Israel? Lo! my meynee is the loweste in Manasses, and Y am the leeste in the hows of my fadir.
16 I rzekł do niego Pan: Ponieważ Ja będę z tobą, przetoż porazisz Madyjanity, jako męża jednego.
And the Lord seide to hym, Y schal be with thee, and thou schalt smyte Madian as o man.
17 A on mu odpowiedział: Jeźliżem proszę znalazł łaskę przed oczyma twemi, daj mi znak, że ty mówisz ze mną.
And Gedeon seide, If Y haue foundun grace bifor thee, yyue to me a signe, that thou, that spekist to me, art sente of Goddis part;
18 Nie odchodź proszę stąd, aż zaś przyjdę do ciebie, a przyniosęć ofiarę moję, i położę ją przed tobą. I odpowiedział: Ja poczekam, aż się wrócisz.
go thou not `awei fro hennus, til Y turne ayen to thee, and brynge sacrifice, and offre to thee. Whiche answeride, Y schal abide thi comyng.
19 Odszedłszy tedy Giedeon zgotował koźlątko z stada a z miary mąki przaśne chleby, a mięso włożył w kosz, a polewkę mięsną wlał w garnek, i przyniósł to do niego pod dąb, i ofiarował.
And so Gedeon entride, and sethide a kide, and took therf looues of a buyschel of mell, and fleischis in a panyere; and he sente the broth of fleischis in a pot, and bar alle thingis vndur an ook, and offride to hym.
20 I rzekł do niego Anioł Boży: Weźmij to mięso i te chleby niekwaszone, a połóż na onej skale polewką polawszy; i uczynił tak.
To whom the aungel of the Lord seide, Take thou the fleischis, and therf looues, and putte on that stoon, and schede the broth aboue. And whanne he hadde do so,
21 Zatem ściągnął Anioł Pański koniec laski, którą miał w ręce swojej, i dotknął się mięsa i przaśników, i wyszedł ogień z skały, a spalił mięso i chleby przaśne; a między tem Anioł Pański odszedł od oczu jego.
the aungel of the Lord helde forth the `ende of the yerde which he helde in the hond, and he touchide the fleischis, and the therf looues; and fier stiede fro the stoon, and wastide the fleischis, and therf looues. Forsothe the aungel of the Lord vanyschide fro hise iyen.
22 A widząc Giedeon, iż to był Anioł Pański, rzekł: Ach, Panie Boże, czemużem widział Anioła Pańskiego twarzą w twarz?
And Gedeon siy that he was `an aungel of the Lord, and seide, Lord God, alas to me, for Y siy the aungel of the Lord face to face.
23 I rzekł mu Pan: Pokój z tobą; nie bój się, nie umrzesz.
And the Lord seide to hym, Pees be with thee; drede thou not, thou schalt not die.
24 Przetoż zbudował tam Giedeon ołtarz Panu, i nazwał go: Pan pokoju; aż do dnia tego ten jeszcze jest w Efracie, ojca Esrowego.
Therfor Gedeon bildide there an auter to the Lord, and he clepide it the Pees of the Lord, `til in to present dai. And whanne he was yit in Effra, which is of the meynee of Ezri, the Lord seide to hym in that nyyt,
25 I stało się onej nocy, że mu rzekł Pan: Weźmij cielca dorosłego, który jest ojca twego, tego cielca drugiego siedmioletniego, a rozwal ołtarz Baalów, który jest ojca twego, i gaj, który jest około niego, wysiecz;
Take thou `the bole of thy fadir, and anothir bole of seuene yeer, and thou schalt distrie the auter of Baal, which is thi fadris, and kitte thou doun the wode, which is aboute the auter;
26 A zbuduj ołtarz Panu, Bogu twemu, na wierzchu tej skały na równinie, a weźmij tego cielca drugiego, i uczyń z niego całopalenie przy drwach z gaju, który wysieczesz.
and thou schalt bilde an auter to thi Lord God in the hiynesse of this stoon, on which thou puttidist sacrifice bifore; and thou schalt take the secounde bole, and thou schalt offre brent sacrifice on the heep of trees, whiche thou kittidist doun of the wode.
27 Wziąwszy tedy Giedeon dziesięć mężów z sług swoich, uczynił jako mu rozkazał Pan; a iż się bał domu ojca swego i mężów miasta, nie uczynił tego we dnie, ale uczynił w nocy.
Therfore Gedeon took ten men of hise seruauntis, and dide as the Lord comaundide to hym. Sotheli Gedeon dredde the hows of his fadir, and the men of that citee, and nolde do bi dai, but fillide alle thingis bi nyyt.
28 A gdy wstali mężowie miasta rano, ujrzeli rozwalony ołtarz Baalów, i gaj, który był podle niego, wyrąbany, i cielca onego drugiego ofiarowanego na całopalenie na ołtarzu zbudowanym.
And whanne men of that citee hadde rise eerly, thei sien the auter of Baal distried, and the wode kit doun, and the tothir bole put on the auter, that was bildid thanne.
29 Zatem rzekł jeden do drugiego: Któż to wżdy uczynił? A gdy się pytali i dowiadowali, powiedziano: Giedeon, syn Joasów, uczynił to.
And thei seiden togidere, Who hath do this? And whanne thei enqueriden the doer of the deed, it was seid, Gedeon, the sone of Joas, dide alle these thingis.
30 Tedy rzekli mężowie miasta do Joasa: Wywiedź syna twego, niech umrze, iż rozrzucił ołtarz Baalów, a iż wyciął gaj, który był około niego.
And thei seiden to Joas, Brynge forth thi sone hidur, that he die, for he distriede the auter of Baal, and kittide doun the wode.
31 I odpowiedział Joas wszystkim, którzy stali około niego: A wyż się to swarzyć macie o Baala? Izali wy go wybawicie? Kto by się oń zastawiał, niech umrze tegoż poranku; jeźli bogiem jest, niech się mści tego, że rozwalono ołtarz jego.
To whiche he answeride, Whether ye ben the venieris of Baal, that ye fiyte for hym? he that is aduersarie of hym, die, bifor that the `liyt of the morew dai come; if he is God, venge he hym silf of hym that castide doun his auter.
32 I nazwano go onegoż dnia Jerubaal, mówiąc: Niech się mści nad nim Baal, iż rozwalił ołtarz jego.
Fro that dai Gedeon was clepid Gerobaal, for Joas hadde seid, Baal take veniaunce of hym that castide doun his auter.
33 Tedy wszyscy Madyjanitowie, i Amalekitowie, i ludzie od wschodu słońca zebrali się wespół, a przeprawiwszy się przez Jordan, położyli się obozem w dolinie Jezreel.
Therfor al Madian, and Amalech, and the puplis of the eest weren gadirid to gidere, and passiden Jordan, and settiden tentis in the valey of Jezrael.
34 Ale Duch Pański przyoblókł Giedeona, który zatrąbiwszy w trąbę zwołał domu Abiezerowego do siebie.
Forsothe the spirit of the Lord clothide Gedeon; `and he sownede with a clarioun, and clepide to gidere the hows of Abiezer, that it schulde sue hym.
35 I wyprawił posły do wszystkiego pokolenia Manasesowego, i zebrali się do niego; posły też posłał do Asera, i do Zabulona, i do Neftalima, i zajechali im.
And he sente messangeris in to al Manasses, and he suede Gedeon; and he sente othere messangeris in to Aser, and Zabulon, and Neptalym, whiche camen to hym.
36 Tedy rzekł Giedeon do Boga: Jeźli wybawisz przez rękę moję Izraela, jakoś powiedział.
And Gedeon seide to the Lord, If thou makist saaf Israel bi myn hond, as thou hast spoke,
37 Oto, ja położę runo wełny na bojewisku; jeźliż rosa tylko na runo upadnie, a wszystka ziemia sucha będzie, tedy będę wiedział, iż wybawisz przez rękę moję Izraela, jakoś powiedział.
Y schal putte this flees of wolle in the corn floor; if dew is in the flees aloone, and drynesse is in al the erthe, Y schal wite, that thou schalt delyuere Israel bi myn hond, as thou hast spoke.
38 I stało się tak; bo wstawszy nazajutrz, ścisnął runo, i wyżdżął rosy z runa pełną czaszę wody.
And it was don so. And he roos bi nyyt, and whanne the flees was wrongun out, he fillide a pot with deew;
39 Nadto rzekł Giedeon do Boga: Niech się nie wzrusza gniew twój przeciwko mnie, że przemówię jeszcze raz. Niech doświadczę proszę jeszcze raz na tem runie; niech będzie, proszę, suche samo runo tylko, a na wszystkiej ziemi niech będzie rosa.
and he seide eft to the Lord, Thi strong veniaunce be not wrooth ayens me, if Y asaie, `that is, axe a signe, yit onys, and seke a signe in the flees; Y preye, that the flees aloone be drie, and al the erthe be moist with deew.
40 I uczynił tak Bóg onej nocy, że było samo runo suche, a na wszystkiej ziemi była rosa.
And the Lord dide in that nyyt, as Gedeon axide; and drynesse was in the flees aloone, and deew was in al the erthe.
