Hioba 37
1 A nad tem zdumiewa się serce moje, i porusza się z miejsca swego.
“Also, my heart trembles at this, And it moves from its place.
2 Słuchajcie z pilnością grzmienia głosu jego, i dźwięku który wychodzi z ust jego.
Listen diligently to the trembling of His voice, Indeed, the sound goes forth from His mouth.
3 Pod wszystkiem niebem prosto go wypuszcza, a światłość jego po wszystkich kończynach ziemi.
He directs it under the whole heavens, And its light [is] over the skirts of the earth.
4 Za nią wnet huczy dźwiękiem, grzmi głosem zacności swojej, i nie odkłada innych rzeczy, gdy bywa słyszany głos jego.
A voice roars after it—He thunders with the voice of His excellence, And He does not hold them back, When His voice is heard.
5 Dziwnie Bóg grzmi głosem swoim; sprawuje rzeczy tak wielkie, że ich rozumieć nie możemy.
God thunders with His voice wonderfully, Doing great things and we do not know.
6 Bo mówi do śniegu: Padaj na ziemię; także i do deszczu wolnego, i do deszczu gwałtownego.
For He says to snow: Be [on] the earth. And the small rain and great rain of His power.
7 Rękę wszystkich ludzi zawiera, aby nikt z ludzi nie doglądał roboty swojej.
Into the hand of every man he seals, For the knowledge by all men of His work.
8 Tedy zwierz wchodzi do jaskini, a w jamach swoich zostaje.
And the beast enters into [its] lair, And it continues in its habitations.
9 Wicher z skrytych miejsc wychodzi, a zima z wiatrów północnych.
From the inner chamber comes a windstorm, And from scatterings winds—cold,
10 Tchnieniem swojem Bóg czyni lód, tak iż się szerokość wód ściska.
From the breath of God is frost given, And the breadth of waters is constricted,
11 Także dla pokropienia ziemi obciąża obłok, i rozpędza chmurę światłem swojem.
Indeed, by filling He presses out a cloud, [and] His light scatters a cloud.
12 A ten się obraca w koło według rady jego, aby czynił wszystko, co Bóg rozkaże, na oblicze okręgu ziemskiego.
And it is turning itself around by His counsels, For their doing all He commands them, On the face of the habitable earth.
13 A czyni to Bóg, że się stawia bądź na skaranie, bądź dla pożytku ziemi swojej, bądź dla jakiej dobroczynności.
Whether for a rod, or for His land, Or for kindness—He causes it to come.
14 Słuchajże tego pilnie, Ijobie! zastanów się, a uważaj dziwne sprawy Boże.
Hear this, O Job, Stand and consider the wonders of God.
15 Izali wiesz, kiedy co Bóg stanowi o tych rzeczach? albo gdy ma rozjaśnić światło obłoku swego?
Do you know when God places them, And caused the light of His cloud to shine?
16 Izali wiesz, co za waga obłoków? Izali wiesz cuda Doskonałego we wszelakiej umiejętności?
Do you know the balancings of a cloud? The wonders of the Perfect in knowledge?
17 Wieszże, jako cię szaty twoje ogrzewają, gdy ucisza ziemię od południa?
How your garments [are] warm, In the quieting of the earth from the south?
18 Izażeś z nim rozpościerał niebiosa, które są trwałe, a zwierciadłu odlewanemu podobne?
You have made an expanse with Him For the clouds—strong as a hard mirror!
19 Ukażże nam, co mu mamy powiedzieć; bo nie możemy sporządzić słów dla ciemności.
Let us know what we say to Him, We do not set in array because of darkness.
20 Izali mu kto odniesie to, cobym mówił? I owszem, gdyby to kto przedłożył, byłby pewnie pożarty.
Is it declared to Him that I speak? If a man has spoken, surely he is swallowed up.
21 Wszak teraz nie mogą ludzie patrzyć i na światło, gdy jest jasne na obłokach, gdy wiatr przechodzi, i przeczyszcza je.
And now, they have not seen the light, It [is] bright in the clouds, And the wind has passed by and cleanses them.
22 Od północy jako złoto przychodzi, ale w Bogu straszniejsza jest chwała.
It comes from the golden north, Fearful splendor [is] beside God.
23 Wszechmogący jest, doścignąć go nie możemy; wielki w mocy, wszakże sądem i ostrą sprawiedliwością ludzi nie trapi.
The Mighty! We have not found Him out, High in power and judgment, He does not answer! And abundant in righteousness,
24 Przetoż boją się go ludzie; nie ma względu na żadnego, by też był i najmędrszy.
Therefore men fear Him, He does not see any of the wise of heart.”
