Hioba 27
1 Potem dalej Ijob prowadził rzecz swoję, i rzekł:
And Job again took up his discourse, and said,
2 Jako żyje Bóg, który odrzucił sąd mój, a Wszechmocny, który gorzkości nabawił duszy mojej:
As God lives, who has taken away my right, and the Almighty, who has vexed my soul.
3 Że póki staje tchu we mnie, i ducha Bożego w nozdrzach moich,
(For my life is yet whole in me. And the spirit of God is in my nostrils.)
4 Nie będą mówiły wargi moje nieprawości, a język mój nie będzie powiadał zdrady.
Surely my lips shall not speak unrighteousness, nor shall my tongue utter deceit.
5 Nie daj Boże, żebym was miał usprawiedliwiać; póki dech we mnie, nie odstąpię od niewinności mojej.
Far be it from me that I should justify you. Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me.
6 Sprawiedliwości mojej trzymać się będę, a nie puszczę się jej; nie zawstydzi mię serce moje, pókim żyw.
I hold fast my righteousness, and will not let it go. My heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.
7 Nieprzyjaciel mój będzie jako niezbożnik, a który powstaje przeciwko mnie, jako złośnik.
Let my enemy be as the wicked, and let him who rises up against me be as the unrighteous.
8 Co bowiem za nadzieja jest obłudnika, który się w łakomstwie kocha, gdy Bóg wydrze duszę jego.
For what is the hope of the profane, though he gets him gain, when God takes away his soul?
9 Izali Bóg usłyszy wołanie jego, gdy nań ucisk przyjdzie?
Will God hear his cry when trouble comes upon him?
10 Izaż się w Wszechmocnym rozkocha? a będzie wzywał Boga na każdy czas?
Will he delight himself in the Almighty, and call upon God at all times?
11 Uczę was, będąc w ręce Bożej, a jako idę z Wszechmocnym, nie taję.
I will teach you concerning the hand of God. That which is with the Almighty I will not conceal.
12 Oto wy to wszyscy widzicie; przeczże wżdy próżność mówicie?
Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it. Why then have ye become altogether vain?
13 Tenci jest dział człowieka bezbożnego u Boga, a toć dziedzictwo okrutnicy od Wszechmocnego wezmą.
This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they receive from the Almighty.
14 Jeźli się rozmnożą synowie jego, pójdą pod miecz: a potomstwo jego nie nasyci się chleba.
If his sons be multiplied, it is for the sword. And his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
15 Którzy po nim zostaną w śmierci pogrzebieni będą, a wdowy jego nie będą go płakały;
Those who remain of him shall be buried in death, and his widows shall make no lamentation.
16 Choćby srebra nazgromadzał jako prochu, a nasprawiał szat jako błota:
Though he heaps up silver as the dust, and prepares raiment as the clay,
17 Tedy nasprawiać ich on, ale sprawiedliwy oblekać je będzie, a srebro ono niewinny dzielić będzie.
he may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.
18 Zbuduje dom swój jako mól, a jako stróż budę wystawi.
He builds his house as the moth, and as a booth which the keeper makes.
19 Bogaty zaśnie, a nie będzie pogrzebiony; spojrzyli kto, alić go niemasz.
He lies down rich, but he shall not be gathered to his fathers. He opens his eyes, and he is not.
20 Zachwycą go strachy jako wody, w nocy go porwie wicher.
Terrors overtake him like waters. A tempest steals him away in the night.
21 Pochwyci go wiatr wschodni, a odejdzie; bo wicher ruszył go z miejsca swego.
The east wind carries him away, and he departs, and it sweeps him out of his place.
22 Toć Bóg nań dopuści, a nie przepuści mu, choć przed ręką jego prędko uciekać będzie.
For God shall hurl at him, and not spare. He would gladly flee out of his hand.
23 Klaśnie każdy nad nim rękoma swemi, i wysyka go z miejsca swego.
Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
