Hioba 2
1 I stało się niektórego dnia, gdy przyszli synowie Boży, aby stanęli przed Panem, przyszedł też szatan między nich, aby stanął przed Panem.
And it was the day and they came [the] sons of God to present themselves on Yahweh and he came also the adversary in midst of them to present himself on Yahweh.
2 Tedy rzekł Pan do szatana: Gdzieś był, skąd idziesz? I odpowiedział szatan Panu, a rzekł: Okrążałem ziemię, i przechodziłem się po niej.
And he said Yahweh to the adversary where? from this are you coming and he answered the adversary Yahweh and he said from roving about on the earth and from going about on it.
3 Zatem rzekł Pan do szatana: Przypatrzyłżeś się słudze memu Ijobowi, że mu nie masz równego na ziemi? Mąż to doskonały i szczery, bojący się Boga, a odstępujący od złego, i który jeszcze trwa w uprzejmości swojej; a tyś mię pobudził przeciw niemu, abym go niszczył bez przyczyny.
And he said Yahweh to the adversary ¿ have you set heart your to servant my Job for there not [is] like him on the earth a man blameless and upright fearing God and [who] turns aside from evil and still he [is] keeping hold on integrity his and you incited me against him to ruin him without cause.
4 I odpowiedział szatan Panu, i rzekł: Skórę za skórę, i wszystko, co ma człowiek, da za duszę swoję;
And he answered the adversary Yahweh and he said skin for skin and all that [belongs] to the man he will give for life his.
5 Ale ściągnij tylko rękę twoję, a dotknij kości jego, i ciała jego, ujrzysz, jeźliżeć w oczy złorzeczyć nie będzie.
But stretch out please hand your and touch bone his and flesh his if not to face your he will bless you.
6 Tedy rzekł Pan do szatana: Oto w ręce twojej jest; wszakże żywot jego zachowaj.
And he said Yahweh to the adversary there he [is] in hand your surely life his preserve.
7 Wszedłszy tedy szatan od oblicza Pańskiego, zaraził Ijoba wrzodem złym od stopy nogi jego aż do wierzchu głowy jego;
And he went out the adversary from with [the] presence of Yahweh and he struck Job with boil[s] bad from [the] sole of foot his (and to *Q(K)*) scalp his.
8 Tak, że wziął skorupę, aby się nią skrobał; i siedział w popiele.
And he took for himself a potsherd to scrape himself with it and he [was] sitting in [the] midst the ash[es].
9 I rzekła mu żona jego: A jeszczeż trwasz w uprzejmosci twojej? Złorzecz Bogu, a umrzyj.
And she said to him wife his [are] still? you keeping hold on integrity your bless God and die.
10 I rzekł do niej: Tak właśnie mówisz, jako szalone niewiasty mawiają. Izali tylko dobre przyjmować będziemy od Boga, a złego przyjmować nie będziemy? W tem wszystkiem nie zgrzeszył Ijob usty swemi.
And he said to her as speaks one of the foolish women you are speaking also the good will we accept? from with God and the evil not will we accept? in all this not he sinned Job with lips his.
11 A gdy usłyszeli trzej przyjaciele Ijobowi to wszystko utrapienie, które nań przypadło, przyszli każdy z miejsca swego: Elifas Temańczyk, i Bildad Suhytczyk, i Sofar Naamatczyk; bo się byli namówili pospołu, aby przyszedłszy pożałowali go, i cieszyli go.
And they heard [the] three - [the] friends of Job all the evil this that it had come on him and they came each one from own place his Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite and they met by appointment together to come to show sympathy to him and to comfort him.
12 A podniósłszy oczy swoje z daleka, nie poznali go, i wyniósłszy głos swój płakali, a rozdarłszy każdy płaszcz swój miotali proch nad głowy swe ku niebu;
And they lifted up eyes their from a distance and not they recognized him and they lifted up voice their and they wept and they tore each one robe his and they sprinkled dust on heads their the heavens towards.
13 I siedzieli z nim na ziemi siedm dni i siedm nocy, a żaden do niego słowa nie przemówił; bo widzieli, że się gwałtownie wzmagała boleść jego.
And they sat with him to the ground seven days and seven nights and not [anyone was] speaking to him a word for they saw that it was great the pain exceedingly.
