1 Przeciwko Moabowi. Tak mówi Pan zastępów, Bóg Izraelski: Biada miastu Nebo, bo spustoszone będzie; pohańbione i wzięte będzie Karyjataim; zawstydzone będzie miasto na miejscu wysokiem, i bać się będzie.
To Moab the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis. Wo on Nabo, for it is destried, and schent; Cariathiarym is takun, the stronge citee is schent, and tremblide.
2 Nie będzie się więcej chlubił Moab z Hesebonu; myślą złe przeciwko niemu, mówiąc: Pójdźcie, a wytraćmy ich z narodu. I ty, Madmenie! wykorzeniony będziesz, miecz pójdzie za tobą.
And ful out ioiyng is no more in Moab, thei thouyten yuel ayens Esebon. Come ye, and leese we it fro folk. Therfor thou beynge stille, schalt be stille, and swerd schal sue thee.
3 Głos krzyku z Choronaim: O spustoszenie i zburzenie wielkie!
A vois of cry fro Oronaym, distriynge, and greet sorewe.
4 Starty będzie Moab, słyszany będzie krzyk maluczkich jego,

5 Przeto, że na drodze Luchytskiej będzie ustawiczny płacz, a którędy zstępują do Choronaim, nieprzyjaciele krzyk zburzenia słyszeć będą,

6 Mówiących: Uciekajcie, wybawcie duszę swoję, a stańcie się jako wrzos na puszczy.
Fle ye, saue ye youre lyues; and ye schulen be as bromes in desert.
7 Bo dlatego, że masz nadzieję w dostatku twoim, i w skarbach twoich, będziesz też wzięte, i Chamos pójdzie w pojmanie, kapłani jego, także i książęta jego.
For that that thou haddist trist in thi strengthis, and in thi tresouris, also thou schalt be takun. And Chamos schal go in to passyng ouer, the preestis therof and the princes therof togidere.
8 Bo burzyciel przyjdzie na każde miasto, a żadne miasto nie ujdzie; zginie i dolina, i równiny spustoszone będą, jako mówi Pan.
And a robbere schal come to ech citee, and no citee schal be sauyd; and valeis schulen perische, and feeldi places schulen be distried, for the Lord seide.
9 Dajcie skrzydła Moabowi, niech prędko uleci; bo miasta jego przyjdą w spustoszenie, tak, że nie będzie w nich obywatela.
Yyue ye the flour of Moab, for it schal go out flourynge; and the citees therof schulen be forsakun, and vnhabitable.
10 Przeklęty, kto zdradliwie czyni sprawę Pańską; przeklęty także, kto hamuje miecz swój ode krwi.

13 I zawstydzony będzie Moab od Chamosa, jako zawstydzony jest dom Izraelski od Betel, nadziei swojej.
And Moab schal be schent of Chamos, as the hous of Israel was schent of Bethel, in which it hadde trist.
14 Jakoż mówicie: Mocniśmy, a mężowie duży do boju?

15 Zburzony będzie Moab, i z miast swoich wynijdzie, a wyborni młodzieńcy jego pójdą na zabicie, mówi król, Pan zastępów imię jego.

16 Blisko jest zginienie Moabowe, i przyjdzie; a nieszczęście jego prędko się pospieszy.

17 Użalcie się go wszyscy, którzy mieszkacie około niego, i wszyscy, którzy znacie imię jego, mówcie: Jakoż się złamała laska mocy, i kij ozdobny?
Alle ye that ben in the cumpas therof, coumforte it; and alle ye that knowen the name therof, seie, Hou is the stronge yerde brokun, the gloriouse staaf?
18 Zstąp z sławy, a siądź w pragnieniu, obywatelko, córko Dybońska! bo zburzyciel Moabu przyciągnie przeciwko tobie, rozrzuci twierdze twoje.
Thou dwellyng of the douytir of Dibon, go doun fro glorie, sitte thou in thirst; for the distriere of Moab schal stie to thee, and he schal destrie thi strengthis.
19 Stań na drodze a przypatrz się pilnie, obywatelko Aroer! pytaj tego, który ucieka, i tej, która uchodzi, mówiąc: Co się dzieje?

22 I na Dybon, i na Nebo, i na Bet Dyblataim,
and on Nabo, and on the hous of Debalthaym,
23 I na Kiryjataim, i na Betgamul, i Betmehon.
and on Cariathiarym, and on Bethgamul, and on Bethmaon, and on Scarioth,
24 I na Karyjot, i na Bocrę, i na wszystkie miasta ziemi Moabskiej, dalekie i bliskie.
and on Bosra, and on alle the citees of the lond of Moab, that ben fer, and that ben niy.
25 Odcięty będzie róg Moabski, i ramię jego będzie starte, mówi Pan.

For whi, Israel, he was in to scorn to thee, as if thou haddist founde hym among theues; therfor for thi wordis whiche thou spakist ayens hym, thou schalt be led prisoner.
28 Opuszczajcie miasta a mieszkajcie na skale, obywatele Moabscy! a bądźcie jako gołębica, która ściele gniazdo swoje na kraju dziury.
Ye dwelleris of Moab, forsake citees, and dwelle in the stoon, and be ye as a culuer makynge nest in the hiyeste mouth of an hool.
29 Słyszeliśmy o pysze Moabowej, że jest bardzo pyszny; o wysokomyślności jego, i o hardości jego, i o nadętości jego, i o wyniosłości serca jego.

30 Znamci Ja, mówi Pan, zagniewanie jego; lecz nie ma siły; kłamstwa jego nie dowiodą tego.

31 Dlatego nad Moabczykami narzekam, a nade wszystkim Moabem wołam, a dla obywateli Kircheres wzdycha serce moje.
Therfor Y schal weile on Moab, and Y schal crie to al Moab, to the men of the erthene wal, that weilen.
32 Bardziej niż płakano Jazerczyków, płaczę nad tobą, o winna macico Sabama! Latorośli twoje dostaną się za morze, aż do morza Jazer dosięgną; na letnie owoce twoje, i na zbieranie wina twego burzyciel przypadnie.

36 Przetoż serce moje nad Moabem jako piszczałki piszczeć będzie; także nad obywatelami w Kircheres serce moje jako piszczałki piszczeć będzie, i dlatego, że i zboże zgromadzone wniwecz się obróci.
Therfor myn herte schal sowne as a pipe of bras to Moab, and myn herte schal yyue sown of pipis to the men of the erthene wal; for it dide more than it myyte, therfor thei perischiden.

For whi ech heed schal be ballidnesse, and ech beerd schal be schauun; in alle hondis schal be bindyng togidere, and an heir schal be on ech bak.
38 Po wszystkich dachach Moabskich i po ulicach jego, wszędy nic nie będzie, tylko narzekanie; bom skruszył Moaba jako naczynie nieużyteczne, mówi Pan.
And al weilyng schal be on alle the roouys of Moab, and in the stretis therof, for Y haue al to-broke Moab as an vnprofitable vessel, seith the Lord.
39 Narzekać będą, mówiąc: Jakoć jest starty! Jako tył podał Moab z hańbą! i jest Moab pośmiewiskiem, i postrachem wszystkim, którzy są około niego.

40 Bo tak mówi Pan: Oto nieprzyjaciel jako orzeł przyleci, a rozciągnie skrzydła swe na Moaba.
The Lord seith these thingis, Lo! as an egle he schal fle out, and he schal stretche forth hise wyngis to Moab.
41 Karyjot wzięte będzie, i zamki wzięte będą, a serce mocarzów Moabskich dnia onego będzie jako serce niewiasty bolejącej.
Carioth is takun, and stronge holdis ben takun; and the herte of stronge men of Moab schal be in that dai, as the herte of a womman trauelynge of child.
42 I wygładzony będzie Moab z ludu; bo się przeciwko Panu podnosił.
And Moab schal ceesse to be a puple, for it hadde glorie ayens the Lord.
43 Strach i dół, i sidło nad tobą, o obywatelu Moabski! mówi Pan.
Drede, and diche, and snare is on thee, thou dwellere of Moab, seith the Lord.

45 W cieniu Hesebon stawali ci, którzy uciekali przed gwałtem; ale ogień wynijdzie z Hesebonu, i płomień z pośrodku Sehonu, i pożre kąt Moabski, i wierzch głowy tych, którzy go burzą.
Men fleynge fro the snare stoden in the schadewe of Esebon, for whi fier yede out of Esebon, and flawme fro the myddis of Seon; and deuouride a part of Moab, and the cop of the sones of noise.
46 Biada tobie, Moabie! zaginieć lud Chamosowy; bo synowie twoi zabrani będą w niewolę, i córki twoje do więzienia.
Moab, wo to thee; thou puple of Chamos, hast perischid, for whi thi sones and thi douytris ben takun in to caitiftee.
47 Wszakże zasię przywrócę więźniów Moabskich w ostateczne dni, mówi Pan. Aż dotąd sąd o Moabie.
And Y schal conuerte the caitiftee of Moab in the laste daies, seith the Lord. Hidur to ben the domes of Moab.
