Ozeasza 7
1 Gdy leczę Izraela, tedy się odkrywa nieprawość Efraimowa i złości Samaryjskie, bo się bawią kłamstwem; w miastach złodziejstwo, a na dworze łupiestwo przewodzą;
'When I give healing to Israel, Then revealed is the iniquity of Ephraim, And the wickedness of Samaria, For they have wrought falsehood, And a thief doth come in, Stript off hath a troop in the street,
2 A nie myślą w sercu swojem, że na wszystkie złości ich pamiętam; a teraz ich ogarniają sprawy ich, i są przed obliczem mojem.
And they do not say to their heart, [That] all their evil I have remembered, Now compassed them have their doings, Over-against My face they have been.
3 Króla uweselają złością swoją a książąt kłamstwy swemi.
With their wickedness they make glad a king, And with their lies — princes.
4 Wszyscy zgoła cudzołożą, są jako piec rozpalony od piekarza, który przestaje czuć, gdy zaczynił ciasto, ażby ukisiało.
All of them [are] adulterers, Like a burning oven of a baker, He ceaseth from stirring up after kneading the dough, till its leavening.
5 W dzień króla naszego w chorobę go wprawiają książęta łagwiami wina, tak że i on rękę swą z naśmiewcami wyciąga.
A day of our king! Princes have polluted themselves [with] the poison of wine, He hath drawn out his hand with scorners.
6 Bo przyłożyli serce swe do zasadzek, jako piec rozpalony; całą noc śpi piekarz ich, a z poranku gore jako płomień ognia.
For they have drawn near, As an oven [is] their heart, In their lying in wait all the night sleep doth their baker, Morning! he is burning as a flaming fire.
7 Wszyscy zgoła rozpalili się jako piec, a pożerają sędziów swoich; wszyscy królowie ich upadają, niemasz między nimi, ktoby wołał do mnie.
All of them are warm as an oven, And they have devoured their judges, All their kings have fallen, There is none calling unto Me among them.
8 Efraim ten się z narodami zmieszał; Efraim będzie jako podpłomyk nieprzewracany.
Ephraim! among peoples he mixeth himself, Ephraim hath been a cake unturned.
9 Pożarli obcy siłę jego, a on o tem nie wie; sędziwość też nań występuje, wszakże on tego nie wie.
Devoured have strangers his power, And he hath not known, Also old age hath sprinkled [itself] on him, And he hath not known.
10 A choć pycha Izraelska świadczy w oczy przeciwko niemu, wszakże się nie nawracają do Pana, Boga swego, ani go w tem wszystkiem szukają.
And humbled hath been the excellency of Israel to his face, And they have not turned back unto Jehovah their God, Nor have they sought Him for all this.
11 I stał się Efraim jako gołębica głupia, nie mająca serca; Egiptu przyzywają a do Assura się uciekają.
And Ephraim is as a simple dove without heart, Egypt they called on — [to] Asshur they have gone.
12 Ale gdy odejdą, rozciągnę na nich sieć moję, a jako ptastwo niebieskie potargnę ich; skarzę ich, jako im o tem powiadano w zgromadzeniu ich.
When they go I spread over them My net, As the fowl of the heavens I bring them down, I chastise them as their company hath heard.
13 Biada im, że się rozbiegli odemnie! spustoszenie przyjdzie na nich, bo wystąpili przeciwko mnie; choćem Ja ich odkupił, ale oni przeciwko mnie mówili kłamstwa;
Woe to them, for they wandered from Me, Destruction to them, for they transgressed against Me, And I — I ransom them, and they have spoken lies against Me,
14 I nie wołają do mnie z serca swego, gdy wyją na łożach swoich; wprawdźieć dla zboża i moszczu zgromadzają się, ale mię potem odstępują.
And have not cried unto Me with their heart, but howl on their beds, For corn and new wine they assemble themselves, They turn aside against Me.
15 Choćem utwierdzał ramiona ich pokarawszy ich, ale oni złe myślą przeciwko mnie.
And I instructed — I strengthened their arms, And concerning Me they think evil!
16 Nawracają się, ale nie do Najwyższego; są jako łuk zdradliwy, polegną od miecza, książęta ich od popędliwości języka ich, co im jest ku pośmiewisku w ziemi Egipskiej.
They turn back — not to the Most High, They have been as a deceitful bow, Fall by sword do their princes, From the insolence of their tongue, This [is] their derision in the land of Egypt!
