1 A tak jechał Izrael ze wszystkiem, co miał, a przyjechawszy do Beerseby, ofiarował ofiary Bogu ojca swego Izaaka.
Then Israel tooke his iourney with all that he had, and came to Beer-sheba, and offered sacrifice vnto the God of his father Izhak.
2 I rzekł Bóg do Izraela w widzeniu nocnem, mówiąc: Jakóbie, Jakóbie; a on odpowiedział: Owom ja.
And God spake vnto Israel in a vision by night, saying, Iaakob, Iaakob. Who answered, I am here.
3 I rzekł: Jam jest Bóg, Bóg ojca twojego; nie bój się zstąpić do Egiptu, bo cię tam w naród wielki rozmnożę.
Then hee sayde, I am God, the God of thy father, feare not to goe downe into Egypt: for I will there make of thee a great nation.
4 Ja zstąpię z tobą do Egiptu, i Ja cię stamtąd także zasię wywiodę, a Józef położy rękę swoję na oczy twoje.
I wil go downe with thee into Egypt, and I will also bring thee vp againe, and Ioseph shall put his hand vpon thine eyes.
5 I powstał Jakób z Beerseby; i wzięli synowie Izraelowi Jakóba ojca swego, i dziatki swe, i żony swe na wozy, które był posłał Farao, aby go przywieziono.
Then Iaakob rose vp from Beer-sheba: and the sonnes of Israel caried Iaakob their father, and their children, and their wiues in the charets, which Pharaoh had sent to cary him.
6 Pobrali też bydła swe, i majętność swoję, której byli nabyli w ziemi Chananejskiej, i przyjechali do Egiptu, Jakób i wszystka rodzina jego z nim;
And they tooke their cattell and their goods, which they had gotten in the lande of Canaan, and came into Egypt, both Iaakob and all his seede with him,
7 Syny swe, i syny synów swych, córki swe i córki synów swych, i wszystko nasienie swoje prowadził z sobą do Egiptu.
His sonnes and his sonnes sonnes with him, his daughters and his sonnes daughters, and al his seede brought he with him into Egypt.
8 A teć są imiona synów Izraelowych, którzy weszli do Egiptu: Jakób i synowie jego: pierworodny Jakóbów Ruben.
And these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt, euen Iaakob and his sonnes: Reuben, Iaakobs first borne.
9 A synowie Rubenowi: Henoch, i Fallu, i Hesron i Charmi.
And the sonnes of Reuben: Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
10 A synowie Symeonowi: Jemuel, i Jamyn, i Achod, i Jachyn, i Sochar, i Saul, syn niewiasty Chananejskiej.
And the sonnes of Simeon: Iemuel, and Iamin, and Ohad, and Iachin, and Zohar; and Shaul the sonne of a Canaanitish woman.
11 Synowie też Lewiego: Gerson, Kaat, i Merary.
Also the sonnes of Leui: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
12 A synowie Judasowi: Her, i Onan, i Sela, i Fares, i Zara; ale umarł Her i Onan w ziemi Chananejskiej. A byli synowie Faresowi: Hesron i Hamuel.

13 A synowie Isaszarowi: Tola, i Fua, i Job, i Simron.
Also the sonnes of Issachar: Tola, and Phuuah, and Iob, and Shimron.
14 Synowie zaś Zabulonowi: Zared, i Elon, i Jaleel.
Also the sonnes of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Iahleel.
15 A cić są synowie Lii, które urodziła Jakóbowi w Padanie Syryjskim, i Dyna córka jego; wszystkich dusz synów jego, i córek jego, trzydzieści i trzy.
These bee the sonnes of Leah, which shee bare vnto Iaakob in Padan Aram, with his daughter Dinah. All the soules of his sonnes and his daughters were thirtie and three.
16 A synowie Gadowi: Sefon, i Aggi, Suny, i Esebon, Ery, i Arody, i Areli.
Also the sonnes of Gad: Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
17 A synowie Aser: Jemna, i Jesua, i Isui, i Beryja, i Sera, siostra ich. A synowie Beryjego: Heber, i Melchyjel.

20 Józefowi zaś urodzili się synowie w ziemi Egipskiej, które mu urodziła Asenat, córka Potyfara, książęcia Ońskiego: Manases i Efraim.
And vnto Ioseph in the lande of Egypt were borne Manasseh, and Ephraim, which Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah prince of On bare vnto him.
21 A synowie Benjaminowi: Bela, i Bechor, i Asbel, Gera, i Naamann, Echy i Ros, Mupim, i Chupim, i Ared.
Also the sonnes of Beniamin: Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
22 Cić są synowie Racheli, którzy się urodzili Jakóbowi; wszystkich dusz czternaście.
These are the sonnes of Rahel, which were borne vnto Iaakob, fourteene soules in all.
23 A synowie Danowi: Chusym.
Also the sonnes of Dan: Hushim.
24 Synowie też Neftalimowi: Jachsyjel, i Gunny, i Jeser, i Selem.
Also the sonnes of Naphtali: Iahzeel, and Guni, and Iezer, and Shillem.
25 Ci są synowie Bali, którą był dał Laban Racheli, córce swej, która je urodziła Jakóbowi; wszystkich dusz siedem.
These are the sonnes of Bilhah, which Laban gaue vnto Rahel his daughter, and shee bare these to Iaakob, in all, seuen soules.

29 A zaprzągłszy Józef wóz swój, wyjechał przeciw Izraelowi, ojcu swemu, do Gosen; a ujrzawszy go ( Jakób ) padł na szyję jego, i płakał na szyi jego chwilę.
Then Ioseph made ready his charet and went vp to Goshen to meete Israel his father, and presented himselfe vnto him and fel on his necke, and wept vpon his necke a good while.
30 Tedy rzekł Izrael do Józefa: Niechże już umrę, gdym ujrzał oblicze twoje, ponieważeś ty jeszcze żyw.
And Israel sayde vnto Ioseph, Now let me die, since I haue seene thy face, and that thou art yet aliue.
31 Zatem rzekł Józef do braci swej i do domu ojca swego: Pojadę, a opowiem Faraonowi, i rzekę mu: Bracia moi i dom ojca mego, którzy byli w ziemi Chananejskiej, przyjechali do mnie;
Then Ioseph said to his brethren, and to his fathers house, I wil go vp and shew Pharaoh, and tell him, My brethren and my fathers house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come vnto me,
32 A ci mężowie są pasterze trzód, bo się bawili chowaniem bydła; przeto owce swoje, i woły swoje, i wszystko, co mieli, przywiedli.
And the men are shepheardes, and because they are shepheardes, they haue brought their sheepe and their cattell, and all that they haue.
33 A tak gdy was przyzowie Farao, i spyta: Czem się bawicie?
And if Pharaoh call you, and aske you, What is your trade?
34 Odpowiecie: Pasterze byli słudzy twoi od dzieciństwa naszego aż dotąd, i my i ojcowie nasi; a to dla tego abyście mogli mieszkać w ziemi Gosen, bo obrzydłością Egipczanom jest wszelki pasterz bydła.
Then ye shall say, Thy seruants are men occupied about cattell, from our childehood euen vnto this time, both we and our fathers: that yee may dwell in the lande of Goshen: for euery sheepe keeper is an abomination vnto the Egyptians.
