1 Po tem wszystkiem stało się słowo Pańskie do Abrama w widzeniu, mówiąc: Nie bój się Abramie, jam tarczą twoją, i nagrodą twoją obfitą wielce.

2 I rzekł Abram: Panie Boże, cóż mi dasz? gdyż ja schodzę bez dziatek, a sprawcą domu mego jest ten Damaszczeński Eliezer.
And Abram answered: LORde Iehouah what wilt thou geue me: I goo childlesse and the cater of myne housse this Eleasar of Damasco hath a sonne.
3 I mówił Abram: Otoś mi nie dał potomka, ale oto sługa domu mego dziedzicem moim będzie.
And Abram sayd: se to me hast thou geven no seed: lo a lad borne in my housse shalbe myne heyre.
4 A oto słowo Pańskie stało się do niego mówiąc: Nie będzie ten dziedzicem twoim; lecz który wynijdzie z żywota twego, ten będzie dziedzicem twoim.
And beholde the worde of the LORde spake vnto Abram sayenge: He shall not be thyne heyre but one that shall come out of thyne awne bodye shalbe thyne heyre.
5 I wywiódł go na dwór, i rzekł: Spojrzyj teraz ku niebu, a zlicz gwiazdy, będzieszli je mógł zliczyć; i rzekł mu: Tak będzie nasienie twoje.
And he brought him out at the doores ad sayde. Loke vpp vnto heaven and tell the starres yf thou be able to nobre them. And sayde vnto him Even so shall thy seed be.
6 Uwierzył tedy Panu, i poczytano mu to ku sprawiedliwości.
And Abram beleved the LORde and it was counted to him for rightwesnes.
7 I rzekł do niego: Ja Pan, którym cię wywiódł z Ur Chaldejskiego, abym ci dał ziemię tę w osiadłość.
And he sayde vnto hym: I am the LORde that brought the out of Vrin Chaldea to geue the this lande to possesse it.
8 Zatem rzekł Abram: Panie Boże, po czemże poznam, iż ją odziedziczę?
And he sayde: LORde God whereby shall I knowe that I shall possesse it?
9 I odpowiedział mu: Weźmij mi jałowicę trzyletnią, i kozę trzyletnią, i barana trzyletniego, i synogarlicę, i gołąbiątko.
And he sayde vnto him: take an heyfer of. iij. yere olde and a she gotte of thre yeres olde and a thre yere olde ram a turtill doue and a yonge pigeon.
10 Wziął tedy wszystko to i rozciął na poły; a jednę część położył przeciw drugiej, ale ptaków nie rozcinał.
And he toke all these and devyded them in the myddes and layde euery pece one over agenst a nother. But the foules devyded he not.
11 Tedy się zleciało ptactwo do onych ścierwów, i odganiał je Abram.
And the byrdes fell on the carcases but Abra droue the awaye.
12 I stało się, gdy słońce zachodziło, że przypadł twardy sen na Abrama, a oto strach i ciemność wielka przypadła nań.
And when the sonne was doune there fell a slomber apon Abram. And loo feare and greate darknesse came apon hym.
13 I rzekł Pan do Abrama: Wiedz wiedząc, iż gościem będzie nasienie twoje w ziemi cudzej, i podbiją je w niewolą, i utrapią je przez cztery sta lat.
And he sayde vnto Abram: knowe this of a suertie that thi seed shalbe a straunger in a lande that perteyneth not vnto the. And they shall make bondmen of them and entreate them evell iiij. hundred yeares.
14 A wszakże naród on, któremu służyć będą, ja sądzić będę; a potem wynijdą stamtąd z majętnością wielką.
But the nation whom they shall serue wyll I iudge. And after warde shall they come out wyth greate substace.
15 Ale ty pójdziesz do ojców twoich w pokoju; i pogrzebion będziesz w starości dobrej.
Neuerthelesse thou shalt goo vnto thi fathers in peace ad shalt be buried when thou art of a good age:
16 A w czwartem pokoleniu tu się wrócą; bo jeszcze nie wypełniła się nieprawość Amorrejczyka aż do tego czasu.

17 I stało się, gdy zaszło słońce, a ciemność była, a oto ukazał się piec kurzący się, i pochodnia ognista, która przechodziła między onemi podziały.

18 Onegoż dnia uczynił Pan z Abramem przymierze, mówiąc: Nasieniu twemu dam tę ziemię, od rzeki Egipskiej, aż do rzeki wielkiej, rzeki Eufrates.
And that same daye the LORde made a covenaunte with Abram saynge: vnto thy seed wyll I geue thys londe fro the ryver of Egypte even vnto the greate ryver euphrates:
19 Kenejczyka, i Kenezejczyka, i Kadmonejczyka.

20 I Hettejczyka, i Ferezejczyka, i Rafaimczyka.
the Hethites the Pherezites the Raphaims
21 I Amorrejczyka, i Chananejczyka, i Gergezejczyka, i Jebuzejczyka.
the Amorytes the Canaanites the Gergesites and the Iebusites.
