1 A Piotr i Jan społem wstępowali do kościoła w godzinę modlitwy, dziewiątą.
And Peter and John were going up at the same time to the temple, at the hour of the prayer, the ninth [hour],
2 A mąż niektóry będąc chromy, zaraz z żywota matki swojej był noszony, którego na każdy dzień sadzano u drzwi kościelnych, które zwano piękne, aby prosił jałmużny od tych, którzy wchodzili do kościoła.
and a certain man, being lame from the womb of his mother, was being carried, whom they were laying every day at the gate of the temple, called Beautiful, to ask a kindness from those entering into the temple,
3 Ten ujrzawszy Piotra i Jana, że mieli wnijść do kościoła, prosił ich o jałmużnę.
who, having seen Peter and John about to go into the temple, was begging to receive a kindness.
4 A Piotr z Janem pilnie na niego patrząc, rzekli: Wejrzyj na nas!
And Peter, having looked stedfastly toward him with John, said, 'Look toward us;'
5 Tedy on z pilnością patrzał na nie, spodziewając się co wziąć od nich.
and he was giving heed to them, looking to receive something from them;
6 I rzekł Piotr: Srebra i złota nie mam; lecz co mam, to ci daję: W imieniu Jezusa Chrystusa Nazareńskiego wstań, a chodź.
and Peter said, 'Silver and gold I have none, but what I have, that I give to thee; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and be walking.'
7 A ująwszy go za prawą rękę jego, podniósł go, a zarazem utwierdzone były nogi jego i kostki.
And having seized him by the right hand, he raised [him] up, and presently his feet and ankles were strengthened,
8 I wyskoczywszy, stanął i chodził, a wszedł z nimi do kościoła, chodząc i skacząc, a chwaląc Boga.
and springing up, he stood, and was walking, and did enter with them into the temple, walking and springing, and praising God;
9 A widział go wszystek lud chodzącego i chwalącego Boga.
and all the people saw him walking and praising God,
10 I poznali go, iż to on był, który dla jałmużny siadał u drzwi pięknych kościelnych; i napełnieni są strachu i zdumienia nad tem, co mu się stało.
they were knowing him also that this it was who for a kindness was sitting at the Beautiful gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what hath happened to him.
11 A gdy się trzymał on chromy, który był uzdrowiony, Piotra i Jana, zbieżał się do nich wszystek lud do przysionka, który zwano Salomonowym, zdumiawszy się.
And at the lame man who was healed holding Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch called Solomon's — greatly amazed,
12 Co widziąc Piotr, przemówił do ludu: Mężowie Izraelscy! cóż się temu dziwujecie, albo czemu się nam tak pilnie przypatrujecie, jakobyśmy to własną mocą albo pobożnością uczynili, aby ten chodził?
and Peter having seen, answered unto the people, 'Men, Israelites! why wonder ye at this? or on us why look ye so earnestly, as if by our own power or piety we have made him to walk?
13 Bóg Abrahama i Izaaka i Jakóba, Bóg ojców naszych, uwielbił Jezusa, Syna swego, któregoście wy wydali i zaparliście się go przed twarzą Piłatową, który go sądził być godnym wypuszczenia.
'The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, did glorify His child Jesus, whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, he having given judgment to release [him],
14 A wyście się onego świętego i sprawiedliwego zaparli, a prosiliście o mężobójcę, aby wam był darowany.
and ye the Holy and Righteous One did deny, and desired a man — a murderer — to be granted to you,
15 I zabiliście dawcę żywota, którego Bóg wzbudził od umarłych, czego my świadkami jesteśmy.
and the Prince of the life ye did kill, whom God did raise out of the dead, of which we are witnesses;
16 A przez wiarę w imię jego, tego, którego wy widzicie i znacie, utwierdziło imię jego; wiara, mówię, która przez niego jest, dała temu to zupełne zdrowie przed obliczem was wszystkich.
and on the faith of his name, this one whom ye see and have known, his name made strong, even the faith that [is] through him did give to him this perfect soundness before you all.
17 Ale teraz, bracia! wiem, żeście to z niewiadomości uczynili, jako i książęta wasi.
'And now, brethren, I have known that through ignorance ye did [it], as also your rulers;
18 Lecz Bóg, co przez usta wszystkich proroków swoich przepowiedział, iż Chrystus jego cierpieć miał, to tak ziścił.
and God, what things before He had declared through the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ should suffer, He did thus fulfil;
19 Przetoż pokutujcie, a nawróćcie się, aby były zgładzone grzechy wasze.
reform ye, therefore, and turn back, for your sins being blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
20 Gdyby przyszły czasy ochłody od obliczności Pańskiej, a posłałby onego, który wam opowiedziany jest, Jezusa Chrystusa.
and He may send Jesus Christ who before hath been preached to you,
21 Który zaiste niebiosa ma objąć aż do czasu naprawienia wszystkich rzeczy, co był przepowiedział Bóg przez usta wszystkich świętych swoich proroków od wieków. (aiōn g165)
whom it behoveth heaven, indeed, to receive till times of a restitution of all things, of which God spake through the mouth of all His holy prophets from the age. (aiōn g165)
22 Albowiem Mojżesz do ojców rzekł: Proroka wam wzbudzi Pan, Bóg wasz, z braci waszych, jako mię; onego słuchać będziecie we wszystkiem, cokolwiek do was mówić będzie.
'For Moses, indeed, unto the fathers said — A prophet to you shall the Lord your God raise up out of your brethren, like to me; him shall ye hear in all things, as many as he may speak unto you;
23 I stanie się, że każda dusza, która by nie słuchała tego proroka, będzie wygładzona z ludu.
and it shall be, every soul that may not hear that prophet shall be utterly destroyed out of the people;
24 Aleć i wszyscy prorocy od Samuela i od innych po nim, ilekolwiek ich mówiło, przepowiadali też te dni.
and also all the prophets from Samuel and those following in order, as many as spake, did also foretell of these days.
25 Wy jesteście synami prorockimi i przymierza, które postanowił Bóg z ojcami naszymi, mówiąc do Abrahama: A w nasieniu twojem błogosławione będą wszystkie narody ziemi.
'Ye are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant that God made unto our fathers, saying unto Abraham: And in thy seed shall be blessed all the families of the earth;
26 Wamci naprzód Bóg wzbudziwszy Syna swego Jezusa, posłał go, aby wam błogosławił; żeby się każdy z was odwrócił od złości swoich.
to you first, God, having raised up His child Jesus, did send him, blessing you, in the turning away of each one from your evil ways.'
