Dzieje 13
1 A byli w Antyjochii we zborze, który tam był, niektórzy prorocy i nauczyciele, jako Barnabasz i Symeon, którego zwano Niger, i Lucyjus Cyrenejczyk, i Manahen, który był wychowany z Herodem Tetrarchą, i Saul.
NOW there were at Antioch, according to the established church, prophets and teachers; such as Barnabas, and Simeon called Niger the black, and Lucius a Cyrenian, and Manaen, Herod the tetrarch’s foster-brother, and Saul.
2 A gdy oni służbę Pańską jawnie odprawiali i pościli, rzekł im Duch Święty: Odłączcie mi Barnabasza i Saula do tej sprawy, do którejm ich powołał.
And as they were employed in the ministry, and kept a fast, the Holy Ghost said, Set apart for me now both Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
3 Tedy poszcząc i modląc się, i wkładając na nie ręce, odprawili je.
Then having kept a fast and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them out.
4 Oni tedy wysłani będąc od Ducha Świętego, przyszli do Seleucyi, a stamtąd płynęli do Cypru.
They then being sent forth indeed by the Holy Ghost, went down to Seleucia; and from thence sailed to Cyprus.
5 A gdy byli w Salaminie, opowiadali słowo Boże w bóżnicach żydowskich, a mieli z sobą i Jana do usługi.
And being at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had John also as their attendant.
6 A przeszedłszy onę wyspę aż do Pafu, znaleźli tam jakiegoś czarnoksiężnika, fałszywego proroka, Żyda, któremu imię było Barjezus.
Now as they travelled through the island as far as Paphos, they found a certain person who professed magic, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesus:
7 Który był przy zacnym staroście, Sergijuszu Pawle, mężu roztropnym. Ten przyzwawszy Barnabasza i Saula, pragnął słuchać słowa Bożego.
who was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man; he inviting to his house Barnabas and Saul, desired earnestly to hear the word of God.
8 Lecz się im sprzeciwił Elimas, on czarnoksiężnik, (albowiem się tak wykłada imię jego), starając się, jakoby starostę od wiary odwrócił:
But Elymas the magician (for such is his name when interpreted) opposed them, seeking to pervert the proconsul from the faith.
9 Tedy Saul, (którego zowią i Pawłem) napełniony będąc Ducha Świętego, a pilnie na niego patrząc,
Then Saul (now Paul), filled with the Holy Ghost, and fixing his eyes upon him,
10 Rzekł: O pełny wszelkiej zdrady i wszelkiej przewrotności, synu dyjabelski, nieprzyjacielu wszelkiej sprawiedliwości! nie przestanieszże podwracać prostych dróg Pańskich?
said, O thou full of all guile and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease perverting the strait ways of the Lord?
11 A oto teraz ręka Pańska nad tobą: i będziesz ślepym, nie widząc słońca aż do czasu. A zarazem przypadła na niego chmura i ciemność, a błąkając się szukał, kto by go wiódł za rękę.
And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, seeing the sun no more for a season. And instantly there fell on him a thick mist and darkness; and groping about he sought some to lead him by the hand.
12 Tedy widząc starosta, co się stało, uwierzył, zdumiewając się nad nauką Pańską.
Then when the proconsul saw what was done, he believed, being struck with the doctrine of the Lord.
13 A puściwszy się z Pafu Paweł i ci, którzy z nim byli, przyszli do Pergi Pamfiliejskiej. A Jan odszedłszy od nich, wrócił się do Jeruzalemu.
Hereupon sailing from Paphos, they who were about Paul came to Perga in Pamphylia: but John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.
14 A oni odszedłszy z Pergi, przyszli do Antyjochii Pisydejskiej, a wszedłszy do bóżnicy w dzień sobotni, usiedli.
And they departed from Perga, and came to Antioch in Pisidia, and entering into the synagogue on the sabbath-day, they sat down.
15 A po przeczytaniu zakonu i proroków, posłali do nich przełożeni bóżnicy, mówiąc: Mężowie bracia! macieli wolę jakie napominanie uczynić do ludu, mówcie.
Then after the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogues sent to them, saying, Men and brethren, if ye are disposed to give a word of exhortation to the people, speak.
16 Tedy powstawszy Paweł, a ręką skinąwszy rzekł: Mężowie Izraelscy i którzy się boicie Boga! słuchajcie:
Then Paul arose, and waving his hand, said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, hear me.
17 Bóg ludu tego Izraelskiego wybrał ojców naszych i wywyższył lud, gdy byli przychodniami w ziemi egipskiej, i w ramieniu wyciągnionem wywiódł je z niej.
The God of this people Israel selected our fathers, and exalted the people during their abode in the land of Egypt, and with a mighty arm brought he them out of it.
18 I przez czas czterdziestu lat znosił obyczaje ich na puszczy.
And about the space of forty years he bore with their behaviour in the wilderness.
19 A wygładziwszy siedm narodów w ziemi Chananejskiej, losem rozdzielił między nie onę ziemię ich.
And destroying seven nations in the land of Canaan, he distributed their territory to them by lot.
20 A potem około czterysta i pięćdziesiąt lat dawał im sędziów, aż do Samuela proroka.
And after these things, during a space of about four hundred and fifty years, he gave them judges until Samuel the prophet.
21 A od onego czasu prosili o króla. I dał im Bóg Saula, syna Cysowego, męża z pokolenia Benjaminowego, przez lat czterdzieści.
And from that time they desired a king: and God gave them Saul the son of Kis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, during forty years.
22 A gdy go odrzucił, wzbudził im Dawida za króla, któremu też świadectwo wydawając powiedział: Znalazłem Dawida, syna Jessego, męża według serca mego, który będzie czynił wszystkę wolę moję.
And removing him, he raised up unto them David to be king; respecting whom also he spake testifying, “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart, who shall perform all my intentions.”
23 Z jegoż nasienia Bóg według obietnicy wzbudził Izraelowi zbawiciela Jezusa.
From this man’s seed according to the promise hath God raised up to Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
24 Przed którego przyjściem kazał Jan chrzest pokuty wszystkiemu ludowi Izraelskiemu.
John having preached before his first coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.
25 A gdy Jan dokonał biegu swego, rzekł: Kim mię być mniemacie? Nie jestem ja, ale oto idzie za mną, u którego nóg obuwia nie jestem godzien rozwiązać.
But as John was finishing his course, he said, Whom do ye suppose me to be? I am not the Messiah. But, behold! he is coming after me, the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to loose.
26 Mężowie bracia, synowie narodu Abrahamowego i którzy się między wami Boga boją! wamci słowo zbawienia tego posłane jest.
Men and brethren, children of the race of Abraham, and all among you who fear God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
27 Albowiem ci, co mieszkają w Jeruzalemie i przełożeni ich, nie znając tego Jezusa i głosów prorockich, które przez każdy sabat bywają czytane, wypełnili je, osądziwszy go.
For they who dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, being ignorant of him, and the words of the prophets that are read every sabbath-day, by condemning him have fulfilled them.
28 A żadnej przyczyny śmierci w nim nie znalazłszy, prosili Piłata, aby był zabity.
And though they found no cause of death in him, they besought Pilate that he might be killed.
29 A gdy wykonali wszystko, co o nim było napisane, zdjąwszy go z drzewa, włożyli go do grobu.
But when they had finished all things that were written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.
30 Ale go Bóg wzbudził od umarłych.
But God raised him from the dead:
31 Który widziany jest przez wiele dni od tych, którzy z nim pospołu przyszli z Galilei do Jeruzalemu, którzy są świadkami jego przed ludem.
and he was seen many days by those who went up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses to the people.
32 I my wam opowiadamy tę obietnicę, która się ojcom stała, iż ją Bóg wypełnił nam, dziatkom ich, wzbudziwszy Jezusa.
And we preach to you the promise made to our fathers;
33 Jako też w Psalmie wtórym napisane jest: Syn mój jesteś ty, jam ciebie dziś spłodził.
for this hath God fulfilled to their children, even to us, in raising up Jesus: as it is also written in the second Psalm, “Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.”
34 A iż go wzbudził od umarłych, aby się więcej nie wrócił do skażenia, tak powiedział: Dam wam święte dobrodziejstwa Dawidowe wierne.
But that he raised him from the dead, no more in future to return to corruption, he hath thus spoken, “I will give you the holy things of David, which are sure.”
35 Przeto i indziej powiada: Nie dasz Świętemu twemu widzieć skażenia.
Wherefore also he saith in another place, “Thou wilt not permit thy Holy One to see corruption.”
36 Albowiemci Dawid za wieku swego usłużywszy woli Bożej, zasnął i przyłączony jest do ojców swoich, a widział skażenie.
For David indeed, after having served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, and was placed with his fathers, and saw corruption.
37 Lecz ten, którego Bóg wzbudził, nie widział skażenia.
But he, whom God raised up, saw no corruption.
38 Niechże wam tedy będzie wiadomo, mężowie bracia, iż się wam przez tego opowiada odpuszczenie grzechów:
Be it therefore known unto you, men and brethren, that through this man remission of sin is proclaimed to you:
39 I od wszystkiego od czegoście nie mogli być przez zakon Mojżeszowy usprawiedliwieni, przez tego każdy wierzący usprawiedliwiony bywa.
and by this man shall every one who believeth be justified from all things, from which it was not possible that he should be justified by the law of Moses.
40 A przetoż patrzcie, aby na was nie przyszło to, co powiedziano w prorokach:
Take heed then, that this come not upon you, which is spoken by the prophets;
41 Obaczcie wy wzgardziciele i dziwujcie się, a wniwecz się obróćcie; bo ja sprawuję sprawę za dni waszych, sprawę, której nie wierzycie, choćby wam kto o niej powiadał.
“Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I do a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though one declare it unto you.”
42 A gdy oni wychodzili z bóżnicy żydowskiej, prosili ich poganie, aby i w drugi sabat mówili do nich też słowa.
But when the Jews were going out of the synagogue, the Gentiles entreated that these words might be spoken to them the following sabbath.
43 A po rozpuszczeniu zgromadzenia, poszło wiele Żydów i nabożnych nowowierników za Pawłem i Barnabaszem, którzy mówiąc do nich, radzili im, aby trwali w łasce Bożej.
And when the synagogue was dismissed, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, exhorting them, persuaded them to abide stedfast in the grace of God.
44 A w drugi sabat niemal wszystko miasto się zgromadziło na słuchanie słowa Bożego.
And on the next sabbath almost all the city thronged together to hear the word of God.
45 Tedy Żydowie widząc lud, napełnieni są zazdrością i sprzeciwiali się temu, co Paweł powiadał, mówiąc przeciwko temu i bluźniąc.
But the Jews seeing the multitude, were filled with envy, and opposed the things spoken by Paul, contradicting and reviling.
46 A Paweł i Barnabasz, bezpiecznie mówiąc, rzekli: Wamci najpierwej miało być opowiadane słowo Boże; ale ponieważ je odrzucacie, a sądzicie się być niegodnymi żywota wiecznego, oto się obracamy do pogan. (aiōnios g166)
Then Paul and Barnabas speaking with undaunted boldness, said, It was necessary that the word of God should be first spoken unto you: but since ye have thrust it from you, and judged yourselves not worthy of eternal life, lo! we turn to the Gentiles. (aiōnios g166)
47 Albowiem nam tak rozkazał Pan, mówiąc: Położyłem cię światłością poganom, abyś był zbawieniem aż do krajów ziemi.
For so hath the Lord enjoined us, “I have set thee for a light of the Gentiles, that thou mightest be for salvation unto the extremity of the earth.”
48 A słysząc to poganie, radowali się i wielbili słowo Pańskie, i uwierzyli, ilekolwiek ich było sporządzonych do żywota wiecznego. (aiōnios g166)
Now when the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced, and glorified the word of the Lord: and they believed, even as many as were ordained to life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
49 I roznosiło się słowo Pańskie po wszystkiej onej krainie.
So the word of the Lord was diffused through the whole region.
50 A Żydowie poduszczali niewiasty nabożne i uczciwe, i przedniejsze w mieście; a wzbudzili prześladowanie przeciwko Pawłowi i przeciwko Barnabaszowi, i wygnali je z granic swoich.
Then the Jews stirred up the devout women, and those who were respectable, and the principal persons of the city, and raised up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and cast them out of their borders.
51 A oni otrząsnąwszy proch z nóg swoich na nie, przyszli do Ikonii.
But they, shaking off the dust of their feet against them, came to Iconium.
52 A uczniowie byli napełnieni radości i Ducha Świętego.
And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.
