II Królewska 19
1 A gdy to usłyszał król Ezechyjasz, rozdarł szaty swoje, a oblekł się w wór, i wszedł do domu Pańskiego;
And when King Hezekiah heard it, he rent his clothes and put on sackecloth, and came into the house of the Lord,
2 I posłał Elijakima, sprawcę domu swego, i Sobnę pisarza, i starsze z kapłanów, obleczone w wory, do Izajasza proroka, syna Amosowego.
And sent Eliakim which was the stewarde of the house, and Shebnah the chanceller, and the Elders of the Priestes clothed in sackecloth to Isaiah the Prophet the sonne of Amoz.
3 Którzy rzekli do niego: Tak mówi Ezechyjasz: Dzień utrapienia i łajania, i bluźnierstwa jest ten dzień; albowiem synowie przyszli aż do porodzenia, a siły niemasz ku rodzeniu.
And they said vnto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of tribulation and of rebuke, and blasphemie: for the childre are come to the birth, and there is no strength to bring foorth.
4 Oby usłyszał Pan, Bóg twój, wszystkie słowa Rabsacesowe, którego przysłał król Assyryjski, pan jego, urągać Bogu żywemu! aby się pomścił onych słów, które słyszał Pan, Bóg twój. Przetoż uczyń modlitwę za te ostatki, które się znajdują.
If so be the Lord thy God hath heard all the wordes of Rabshakeh, whome the King of Asshur his master hath sent to raile on the liuing God, and to reproch him with wordes which the Lord thy God hath heard, then lift thou vp thy prayer for the remnant that are left.
5 Przyszli tedy słudzy króla Ezechyjasza do Izajasza.
So the seruants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah.
6 Którym odpowiedział Izajasz: Tak powiedzcie panu waszemu: To mówi Pan: Nie bój się tych słów, któreś słyszał, któremi mię lżyli słudzy króla Assyryjskiego.
And Isaiah said vnto them, So shall ye say to your master, Thus sayeth the Lord, Be not afraide of the words which thou hast heard, wherewith the seruants of the king of Asshur haue blasphemed me.
7 Oto Ja puszczę nań ducha, i usłyszy wieść, a wróci się do ziemi swojej, i położę go mieczem w ziemi jego.
Beholde, I will sende a blast vpon him, and he shall heare a noyse, and returne to his owne lande: and I will cause him to fall by the sworde in his owne lande.
8 Ale wróciwszy się Rabsaces znalazł króla Assyryjskiego dobywającego Lebny; albowiem usłyszał, iż odciągnął był od Lachys.
So Rabshakeh returned, and founde the King of Asshur fighting against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.
9 A usłyszawszy o Tyraku, królu Etyjopskim, że mówino: Oto wyciągnął na wojnę przeciwko tobie, znowu psłał posły do Ezechyjasza, mówiąc:
He heard also men say of Tirhakah King of Ethiopia, Beholde, he is come out to fight against thee: he therefore departed and sent other messengers vnto Hezekiah, saying,
10 To powiedzcie królowi Ezechyjaszowi, królowi Judzkiemu, mówiąc: Niech cię nie zwodzi Bóg twój, któremu ty ufasz, a mówisz: Nie będzie podane Jeruzalem w ręce króla Assyryjskiego.
Thus shall ye speake to Hezekiah King of Iudah, and say, Let not thy God deceiue thee in whome thou trustest, saying, Ierusalem shall not be deliuered into the hande of the King of Asshur.
11 Otoś słyszał, co poczynili królowie Assyryjscy wszystkim ziemiom, burząc je; a tybyś miał być wybawiony?
Beholde, thou hast heard what the Kings of Asshur haue done to all landes, how they haue destroyed them: and shalt thou be deliuered?
12 Izali wybawili bogowie narodów te, które wygubili ojcowie moi, Gozan, i Haran, i Resef, i syny Eden, którzy byli w Telassar?
Haue the gods of the heathen deliuered them which my fathers haue destroyed? as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden, which were in Thelasar?
13 Gdzież jest król Emat, i król Arfad, i król miasta Sefarwaim, Ana i Awa?
Where is the King of Hamath, and the King of Arpad, and the King of the citie of Shepharuaim, Hena and Iuah?
14 Przetoż wziąwszy Ezechyjasz list z ręki posłów, przeczytał go, i wszedłszy do domu Pańskiego rozciągnął go Ezechyjasz przed Panem.
So Hezekiah receiued the letter of the hande of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went vp into the house of the Lord, and Hezekiah spread it before the Lord.
15 I modlił się Ezechyjasz przed Panem, mówiąc: Panie, Boże Izraelski, siedzący na Cherubinach! ty, tyś sam jest Bóg wszystkich królestw ziemi, tyś stworzył niebo i ziemię.
And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, and saide, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest betweene the Cherubims, thou art very God alone ouer all the kingdomes of the earth: thou hast made the heauen and the earth.
16 Nakłońże, Panie! ucha twojego, a usłysz; otwórz, Panie! oczy twoje, a obacz; usłysz słowa Sennacheryba, który przysłał hańbić ciebie, Boga żywego.
Lord, bow downe thine eare, and heare: Lord open thine eyes and behold, and heare the wordes of Saneherib, who hath sent to blaspheme the liuing God.
17 Prawdać jest, Panie! że spustoszyli królowie Assyryjscy narody one, i ziemię ich.
Trueth it is, Lord, that the Kings of Asshur haue destroyed the nations and their landes,
18 I powrzucali bogi ich w ogień; albowiem nie byli bogowie, ale robota rąk ludzkich, drewno, i kamień; przetoż je wygubili.
And haue set fire on their gods: for they were no gods, but the worke of mans hands, euen wood and stone: therefore they destroyed them.
19 A teraz, Panie Boże nasz! wybaw nas proszę z ręki jego, aby poznały wszystkie królestwa ziemi, żeś ty, Panie! sam Bogiem.
Nowe therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, saue thou vs out of his hande, that all the kingdomes of the earth may knowe, that thou, O Lord, art onely God.
20 Tedy posłał Izajasz, syn Amosowy, do Ezechyjasza, mówiąc: Tak mówi Pan, Bóg Izraelski: O coś mię prosił z strony Sennacheryba, króla Assyryjskiego, wysłuchałem cię.
Then Isaiah the sonne of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I haue heard that which thou hast prayed me, concerning Saneherib King of Asshur.
21 A teć są słowa, które mówił Pan o nim: Panna, córka Syońska, wzgardziła cię, śmiała się z ciebie, kiwała głową za tobą córka Jeruzalemska.
This is the worde that the Lord hath spoken against him, O Virgine, daughter of Zion, he hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorne: O daughter of Ierusalem, he hath shaken his head at thee.
22 Kogożeś hańbił, i kogo bluźnił? przeciwko komużeś podniósł głos, a wyniosłeś ku górze oczy swoje? przeciw Świętemu Izraelskiemu.
Whome hast thou railed on? and whome hast thou blasphemed? and against whome hast thou exalted thy voyce, and lifted vp thine eyes on hie? euen against the Holie one of Israel.
23 Przez posły twoje hańbiłeś Pana mego, i rzekłeś: W mnóstwie wozów moich wstąpiłem na wysokie góry, i na strony Libańskie, i podrąbię wysokie cedry jego, i wyborne jodły jego, i przyjdę aż do ostatnich przybytków jego, do lasów, i wybornych ról jego.
By thy messengers thou hast rayled on the Lord, and said, By the multitude of my charets I am come vp to the toppe of the mountaines, by the sides of Lebanon, and will cut downe the hie cedars thereof, and the faire firre trees thereof, and I will goe into the lodging of his borders, and into the forest of his Carmel.
24 Jam wykopał źródła, i piłem wody cudze, a wysuszyłem stopami nóg moich wszystkie potoki oblężonych.
I haue digged, and drunke the waters of others, and with the plant of my feete haue I dried all the floods closed in.
25 Izażeś nie słyszał, żem ja zdawna uczynił a od dni starodawnych stworzyłem je? a teraz miałżebym na nie przywieść spustoszenie, i obrócić w gromady gruzu; jako insze miasta obronne?
Hast thou not heard, howe I haue of olde time made it, and haue formed it long ago? and should I nowe bring it, that it should be destroyed, and laid on ruinous heapes, as cities defensed?
26 Których obywatele stali się jako bez rąk, przestraszeni są i zawstydzeni, bywszy jako trawa polna, i jako zioła zielone, i trawy po dachach, które pierwej schną, niż się dostają,
Whose inhabitants haue small power, and are afraid, and confounded: they are like the grasse of the field, and greene herbe, or grasse on ye house toppes, or as corne blasted before it be growen.
27 Mieszkanie twoje i wyjście twoje, i wejście twoje znam, także popędliwość twoję przeciwko mnie.
I knowe thy dwelling, yea, thy going out, and thy comming in, and thy furie against me.
28 Ponieważeś się przeciwko mnie zajuszył, a zapędy twoje przyszły do uszów moich, przetoż założę kolce moje za nozdrza twoje, a wędzidło moje wprawię w gębę twoję, i wrócę cię tą drogą, którąś przyszedł,
And because thou ragest against me, and thy tumult is come vp to mine eares, I will put mine hooke in thy nostrels, and my bridle in thy lippes, and will bring thee backe againe the same way thou camest.
29 A to będziesz miał, Ezechyjaszu! za znak: Tego roku będziesz jadł samorodne zboże, i roku także drugiego samorodne zboże; ale roku trzeciego będziecie siać i żąć, i sadzić winnice i jeść owoc ich.
And this shalbe a signe vnto thee, O Hezekiah, Thou shalt eate this yeere such things as growe of them selues, and the next yeere such as growe without sowing, and the third yeere sowe ye and reape, and plant vineyardes, and eate the fruites thereof.
30 Ostatek bowiem domu Judy, który pozostał, wkorzeni się głęboko, i wyda owoc ku górze.
And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Iudah, shall againe take roote downewarde, and beare fruite vpwarde.
31 Albowiem z Jeruzalemu wynijdą ostatki, i ci, którzy są zachowani z góry Syońskiej. Gorliwość Pana zastępów to uczyni.
For out of Ierusalem shall goe a remnant, and some that shall escape out of mount Zion: the zeale of the Lord of hostes shall doe this.
32 A przetoż tak mówi Pan o królu Assyryjskim: Nie wnijdzie do miasta tego, ani tam dojdzie strzała jego, ani go ubieży tarcza, ani usypie szańców około niego;
Wherefore thus saith the Lord, concerning the King of Asshur, He shall not enter into this citie, nor shoote an arrowe there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a mount against it:
33 Drogą, którą przyszedł, wróci się, a do miasta tego nie wnijdzie, mówi Pan.
But he shall returne the way he came, and shall not come into this citie, saith the Lord.
34 Bo będę bronił miasta tego, i zachowam je sam dla siebie, i dla Dawida, sługi mego.
For I will defende this citie to saue it for mine owne sake, and for Dauid my seruants sake.
35 I stało się onej nocy, że wyszedł Anioł Pański, a pobił w obozie Assyryjskim sto ośmdziesiąt i pięć tysięcy. A gdy wstali rano, oto wszędy pełno trupów.
And the same night the Angell of the Lord went out and smote in the campe of Asshur an hundreth foure score and fiue thousande: so when they rose earely in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.
36 Przetoż ruszywszy się odjechał i wrócił się Seneacheryb, król Assyryjski, a mieszkał w Niniwe.
So Saneherib King of Asshur departed, and went his way, and returned, and dwelt in Nineueh.
37 A gdy chwalił boga swego Nesrocha w domu, tedy Adramelech i Sarassar, synowie jego, zabili go mieczem, a sami uciekli do ziemi Ararat. I królował Assarhaddon, syn jego, miasto niego.
And as he was in the Temple worshipping Nisroch his god, Adramelech and Sharezer his sonnes slewe him with the sworde: and they escaped into the land of Ararat, and Esarhaddon his sonne reigned in his steade.
