II Koryntian 8
1 A oznajmujemy wam, bracia! o łasce Bożej, która jest dana zborom Macedońskim;
We doe you also to wit, brethren, of the grace of God bestowed vpon the Churches of Macedonia,
2 Iż w rozlicznem doświadczeniu utrapienia obfita ich radość i bardzo wielkie ubóstwo ich obfitowało w bogactwo szczerości ich.
Because in great triall of affliction their ioy abounded, and their most extreme pouertie abounded vnto their rich liberalitie.
3 Bo daję im świadectwo, że według możności i nad możność ochotnymi się pokazali.
For to their power (I beare record) yea, and beyonde their power, they were willing,
4 Z wielką prośbą nas żądając, abyśmy to dobrodziejstwo i spólne udzielenie, którem się usługuje świętym, przyjęli.
And praied vs with great instance that we woulde receiue the grace, and fellowship of the ministring which is toward the Saints.
5 A nie tylko tak sobie postąpili, jakośmy się spodziewali; ale najprzód samych siebie oddali Panu, potem i nam za wolą Bożą.
And this they did, not as we looked for: but gaue their owne selues, first to the Lord, and after vnto vs by the will of God,
6 Tak, żeśmy musieli napomnieć Tytusa, aby jako przedtem począł, tak aby też dokonał u was tegoż dobrodziejstwa.
That we should exhort Titus, that as hee had begon, so he would also accomplish the same grace among you also.
7 Przetoż jako we wszystkiem obfitujecie w wierze i w mowie, i w umiejętności, i we wszelakiej pilności, i w miłości waszej przeciwko nam, tak i w tem dobrodziejstwie obfitujcie.
Therefore, as yee abound in euery thing, in faith and woorde, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your loue towardes vs, euen so see that yee abound in this grace also.
8 Nie mówię jako rozkazując, ale przez pilność innych, jako jest szczera miłość wasza, na jawią wystawiając.
This say I not by commandement, but because of the diligence of others: therefore prooue I the naturalnesse of your loue.
9 Albowiem znacie łaskę Pana naszego, Jezusa Chrystusa, że dla was stał się ubogim, będąc bogatym, abyście wy ubóstwem jego ubogaceni byli.
For ye knowe the grace of our Lord Iesus Christ, that hee being rich, for your sakes became poore, that yee through his pouertie might be made rich.
10 A w tem podaję wam zdanie swoje; albowiem to wam jest pożyteczno, którzy nie tylko czynić, ale i chcieć przedtemeście poczęli roku przeszłego.
And I shewe my minde herein: for this is expedient for you, which haue begun not to doe onely, but also to will, a yeare agoe.
11 A teraz to, coście czynić poczęli, wykonajcie, aby jako była ochotna myśl ku chceniu, tak też aby było i dokończenie z tego, co macie.
Nowe therefore performe to doe it also, that as there was a readinesse to will, euen so yee may performe it of that which yee haue.
12 Albowiem jeźli przedtem była ochotna myśl, taż przyjemna jest według tego, co kto ma, a nie według tego, czego nie ma.
For if there be first a willing minde, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
13 Bo nie chcę, aby insi mieli ulżenie a wy uciśnienie, ale żeby za równo natenczas wasza obfitość ich niedostatkowi usłużyła;
Neither is it that other men should be eased and you grieued: But vpon like condition, at this time your abundance supplieth their lacke:
14 Aby też ich obfitość waszemu niedostatkowi usłużyła, żeby się stało porównanie,
That also their aboundance may bee for your lacke, that there may be equalitie:
15 Jako napisane: Kto wiele nazbierał, nie miał nazbyt; a kto mało nazbierał, nie miał mało.
As it is written, Hee that gathered much, had nothing ouer, and hee that gathered litle, had not the lesse.
16 Ale chwała Bogu, który dał takież staranie o was do serca Tytusowego,
And thanks be vnto God, which hath put in the heart of Titus the same care for you.
17 Iż ono napomnienie przyjął, a stawszy się pilniejszym, dobrowolnie poszedł do was.
Because hee accepted the exhortation, yea, hee was so carefull that of his owne accorde hee went vnto you.
18 A posłaliśmy wespół z nim brata, który ma chwałę w Ewangielii po wszystkich zborach;
And wee haue sent also with him the brother, whose praise is in the Gospel throughout al the Churches.
19 A nie tylko to, ale obrany jest przez głosy od zborów, za towarzysza drogi naszej z tem dobrodziejstwem, którem się dzieje usługa od nas ku chwale samego Pana i ku doświadczeniu ochotnego umysłu waszego,
(And not so onely, but is also chosen of the Churches to be a fellowe in our iourney, concerning this grace that is ministred by vs vnto the glorie of the same Lord, and declaration of your prompt minde)
20 Uchodząc tego, aby nam kto nie przyganił dla tej obfitości, którą się przez nas usługuje,
Auoiding this, that no man shoulde blame vs in this aboundance that is ministred by vs,
21 Pilnie się starając o uczciwe rzeczy, nie tylko przed Panem, ale też i przed ludźmi.
Prouiding for honest thinges, not onely before the Lord, but also before men.
22 A posłaliśmy z nimi brata naszego, któregośmy często doświadczyli, w wielu rzeczach być pilnym, a teraz daleko pilniejszym dla wielkiej dowierności, którą ma przeciwko wam.
And we haue sent with them our brother, whom we haue oft times prooued to be diligent in many thinges, but nowe much more diligent, for the great confidence, which I haue in you.
23 A jeźli idzie o Tytusa, ten jest moim towarzyszem i u was pomocnikiem; a jeźli też o braci naszych, posłami są zborów i chwałą Chrystusową.
Whether any doe inquire of Titus, he is my fellowe and helper to you ward: or of our brethren, they are messengers of the Churches, and the glorie of Christ.
24 Przetoż oświadczenie miłości waszej i chluby naszej z was pokażcie przeciwko nim przed oblicznością zborów.
Wherefore shew toward them, and before the Churches the proofe of your loue, and of the reioycing that we haue of you.
