I Królewska 9
1 I stało się, gdy dokończył Salomon budowania domu Pańskiego, i domu królewskiego, i wszystkiego, co żądał Salomon i chciał uczynić,
And it came to pass, when Solomon had made an end of building the house of Yahweh, and the house of the king, and everything that Solomon desired, which he was pleased to make,
2 Że się Pan ukazał Salomonowi powtóre, jako mu się ukazał w Gabaon.
then appeared Yahweh unto Solomon, a second time, —as he appeared unto him, in Gibeon.
3 I rzekł Pan do niego: Wysłuchałem modlitwę twoję, i prośbę twoję, którąś się modlił przedemną, a poświęciłem ten dom, któryś zbudował, aby tam przebywało imię moje aż na wieki; i będą tam oczy moje i serce moje po wszystkie dni.
And Yahweh said unto him—I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, wherewith thou hast made supplication before me, I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my Name there unto times age-abiding, —and mine eyes and my heart shall be there, continually:
4 A jeźli ty będziesz chodził przedemną, jako chodził Dawid, ojciec twój, w doskonałości serca i w prostości, a będziesz się sprawował według wszystkiego, comci przykazał, strzegąc wyroków moich i sądów moich:
As for thee, therefore, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, with a whole heart and with uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, —and, my statutes and my regulations, wilt keep,
5 Tedy utwierdzę stolicę królestwa twego nad Izraelem na wieki, jakom powiedział Dawidowi, ojcu twemu, mówiąc: Nie będzie odjęty z narodu twego mąż z stolicy Izraelskiej.
then will I establish the throne of thy kingdom over Israel, unto times age-abiding, —as I promised unto David thy father, saying, There shall not be cut off to thee a man, from off the throne of Israel.
6 Ale jeźli się nazad odwrócicie wy i synowie wasi ode mnie, a nie będziecie strzegli przykazań moich, i wyroków moich, którem wam podał, ale odszedłszy będziecie służyli bogom cudzym, i będziecie się im kłaniali:
If ye, turn back, ye or your sons, from following me, and keep not my commandments, my statutes, which I have set before you, —but depart and serve other gods, and bow yourselves down to them,
7 Tedy wytracę Izraela z ziemi, którąm im dał, a dom, którym poświęcił imieniowi memu, odrzucę od oblicza mego, a będzie Izrael przypowieścią i baśnią między wszystkimi narodami.
then will I cut off Israel, from the face of the soil, which I have given unto them, and, the house which I have hallowed for my Name, will I suffer to be carried away from before me, —and Israel shall become a byword and a mockery, among all the peoples;
8 A tak i ten dom, który był sławny, każdemu mimo idącemu będzie na podziw i na poświstanie, i rzecze: Przeczże tak uczynił Pan tej ziemi i temu domowi?
and, this house which had been renowned, shall be desolate, every one that passeth by it, shall be astonished and shall whistle, —and men shall say—For what cause, hath Yahweh done, thus, unto this land, and unto this house?
9 Tedy odpowiedzą: Przeto, iż opuścili Pana, Boga swego, który wywiódł ojce ich z ziemi Egipskiej, a chwycili się bogów cudzych, i kłaniali się im, a służyli im: dla tegoż przywiódł Pan na nie to wszystko złe.
And men will answer—Because they forsook Yahweh their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold of other gods, and bowed themselves down to them, and served them, for this cause, hath Yahweh brought in upon them all this ruin.
10 I stało się po wyjściu dwudziestu lat, w których zbudował Salomon owe oba domy, dom Pański i dom królewski.
And it came to pass, at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, —the house of Yahweh, and the house of the king;
11 Do czego Hiram, król Tyrski, nadał był Salomonowi drzewa cedrowego, i drzewa jodłowego, i złota, ile jedno chciał: tedy też król Salomon dał Hiramowi dwadzieścia miast w ziemi Galilejskiej.
Hiram king of Tyre having supplied Solomon with timber of cedar, and with timber of fir, and with gold, according to all his desire, that, then, King Solomon gave unto Hiram twenty cities, in the land of Galilee.
12 I wyjechał Hiram z Tyru, aby oglądał miasta, które mu dał Salomon: ale mu się niepodobały.
And Hiram came out from Tyre to view the cities which, Solomon, had given him, —and they were not pleasing in his eyes.
13 I rzekł: Cóż to za miasta, któreś mi dał, bracie mój? I nazwał je ziemią Chabul, aż do dnia tego.
So he said—What cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them, Unfruitful Land, [as they are called] unto this day.
14 Albowiem posłał był Hiram królowi sto i dwadzieścia talentów złota.
Now Hiram had sent to the king, —a hundred and twenty talents of gold.
15 A przyczyna poboru, który był rozkazał wybierać król Salomon, była, aby zbudował dom Pański, i dom swój, i Mello, i mury Jeruzalemskie, i Hasor, i Magieddo, i Gazer.
Now, the following, is an account of the tax which King Solomon raised, for building the house of Yahweh and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, —and Hazor and Megiddo, and Gezer.
16 Farao bowiem, król Egipski, wyciągnął był, i wziął Gazer, i popalił je ogniem, a Chananejczyka, który mieszkał w tem mieście, wymordował, a dał je za posag córce swej, żonie Salomonowej.
Pharaoh king of Egypt, had gone up and captured Gezer, and burned it with fire, the Canaanites also who were dwelling in the city, had he slain, —and had given it as a dowry, to his daughter, wife of Solomon.
17 A tak zbudował Salomon Gazer i Betoron niższe;
So then Solomon built Gezer, and Beth-horon, the nether,
18 Przytem Baalat i Tadmor na puszczy w tejże ziemi,
and Baalath and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land;
19 I wszystkie miasta, w których miał składy Salomon, i miasta wozów, i miasta jezdnych, i wszystko według żądości Salomonowej, cokolwiek chciał budować w Jeruzalemie i na Libanie, i we wszystkiej ziemi państwa swojego.
also all the store cities, which Solomon had, and the cities for chariots, and the cities for horsemen, —and the desire of Solomon that he was pleased to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land that he ruled over.
20 Wszystek także lud, który był pozostał z Amorejczyków, Hetejczyków, Ferezejczyków, Hewejczyków, i Jebuzejczyków, którzy nie byli z synów Izraelskich;
All the people that were left, of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, who were, not of the sons of Israel;
21 To jest, syny ich, którzy byli pozostali po nich w ziemi, których nie mogli synowie Izraelscy wytracić, uczynił Salomon hołdownikami i niewolnikami aż do dnia dzisiejszego.
their sons, who were left after them in the land, whom the sons of Israel were not able to devote to destruction, Solomon levied them for a toiling labour-band [which remaineth] unto this day.
22 Ale z synów Izraelskich nie uczynił Salomon żadnego niewolnikiem; jedno byli ludźmi rycerskimi, i sługami jego, i książęty, i hetmany jego, i przełożonymi nad wozami jego, i nad jezdnymi jego.
But, of the sons of Israel, Solomon devoted none to bond-service, —but, they, were men of war, and his servants, and his generals, and his heroes, and captains of his chariots, and his horsemen.
23 Było tych przedniejszych z przełożonych, którzy byli nad robotą Salomonową, pięć set i pięćdziesiąt, co byli nad ludźmi wykonywającymi robotę.
These, were the chiefs of the officers, who were over the work, for Solomon, five hundred and fifty, —who ruled over the people that wrought in the work.
24 Lecz córka Faraonowa przeprowadziła się z miasta Dawidowego do domu swego, który jej zbudował Salomon. Tedy zbudował i Mello.
Scarcely had Pharaoh’s daughter come up out of the city of David, into her own house, which he had built for her, when he built Millo.
25 I ofiarował Salomon trzy kroć na każdy rok całopalenia a spokojne ofiary na ołtarzu, który był zbudował Panu; ale kadził na onym ołtarzu, który był przed Panem, gdy dokonał domu.
And Solomon used to offer, three times a year, ascending-sacrifices and peace-offerings, upon the altar which he had built unto Yahweh, and to offer incense at the altar which was before Yahweh, —thus Solomon gave completeness unto the house.
26 Okrętów też nabudował król Salomon w Asyjongaber, które jest podle Elotu, nad brzegiem morza czerwonego, w ziemi Edomskiej.
A fleet also, did King Solomon build in Ezion-geber, which is beside Eloth on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom.
27 I posłał Hiram na tychże okrętach sługi swe, żeglarze świadome morza, z sługami Salomonowymi;
And Hiram sent in the fleet his servants, seamen, having knowledge of the sea, —with the servants of Solomon;
28 Którzy przypłynąwszy do Ofir, wzięli stamtąd złota cztery sta i dwadzieścia talentów, i przywieźli je do króla Salomona.
and they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence, gold, four hundred and twenty talents, —and brought it to King Solomon.
