1 Kochani przyjaciele, jesteście moją radością i nagrodą za mój trud! Wiernie trzymajcie się więc Pana!
Therefore, my brethre, beloued and longed for, my ioy and my crowne, so continue in the Lord, yee beloued.
2 Gorąco zachęcam Ewodię i Syntychę, aby ze względu na Pana żyły w zgodzie.
I pray Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of one accord in the Lord,
3 A ciebie, mój prawdziwy towarzyszu, proszę, abyś pomógł im w tym, bo naprawdę ciężko pracowały głosząc dobrą nowinę razem ze mną, z Klemensem oraz z innymi moimi współpracownikami, których imiona zapisane są w księdze życia.
Yea, and I beseech thee, faithfull yokefellow, helpe those women, which laboured with me in the Gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowe labourers, whose names are in the booke of life.
4 Zawsze cieszcie się z tego, że należycie do Pana. Cieszcie się!
Reioyce in the Lord alway, againe I say, reioyce.
5 I niech wszyscy wokół doświadczają waszej życzliwości—przyjście Pana jest już bowiem coraz bliższe!
Let your patient minde be knowen vnto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 O nic się nie martwcie, ale ze wszystkimi sprawami zwracajcie się do Boga. Proście Go o pomoc, ale i dziękujcie Mu.
Be nothing carefull, but in all thinges let your requestes be shewed vnto God in praier, and supplication with giuing of thankes.
7 A Jego pokój, przekraczający najśmielsze ludzkie wyobrażenia, opanuje wasze serca i umysły. Wszystko to jest możliwe dzięki Chrystusowi.
And the peace of God which passeth all vnderstanding, shall preserue your heartes and mindes in Christ Iesus.
8 Przyjaciele, myślcie o tym, co jest zgodne z prawdą, dobre, prawe, czyste, miłe, szlachetne, doskonałe i godne pochwały.
Furthermore, brethre, whatsoeuer things are true, whatsoeuer things are honest, whatsoeuer thinges are iust, whatsoeuer thinges are pure, whatsoeuer thinges are worthie loue, whatsoeuer things are of good report, if there be any vertue, or if there be any praise, thinke on these things,
9 Postępujcie zgodnie z tym, czego się ode mnie nauczyliście, co przejęliście, co słyszeliście i co widzieliście. A Bóg, który obdarza ludzi pokojem, będzie z wami.
Which yee haue both learned and receiued, and heard, and seene in mee: those things doe, and the God of peace shalbe with you.
10 Ogromnie się ucieszyłem z dowodu waszej troski o mnie. Wiem, że o mnie pamiętacie, choć ostatnio nie mieliście okazji tego wyrazić.
Nowe I reioyce also in the Lord greatly, that nowe at the last your care for mee springeth afresh, wherein notwithstanding ye were careful, but yee lacked opportunitie.
11 Nie wspominam o tym dlatego, że nadal mi czegoś brakuje. Nauczyłem się bowiem radzić sobie w różnych sytuacjach.
I speake not because of want: for I haue learned in whatsoeuer state I am, therewith to bee content.
12 Wiem, jak znosić biedę i jak żyć w dostatku. Jestem przygotowany do życia w każdych warunkach: z pełnym i z pustym żołądkiem, w dobrobycie i w niedostatku.
And I can be abased, and I can abounde: euery where in all things I am instructed, both to be full, and to be hungrie, and to abounde, and to haue want.
13 Dzięki Temu, który dodaje mi sił, umiem radzić sobie w każdej sytuacji.
I am able to do al things through the helpe of Christ, which strengtheneth me.
14 Dobrze jednak zrobiliście, pomagając mi w obecnych kłopotach.
Notwithstanding yee haue well done, that yee did communicate to mine affliction.
15 Zapewne pamiętacie, że na samym początku, gdy opuściłem Macedonię, aby dalej głosić dobrą nowinę, żaden kościół nie pomagał mi finansowo—tylko wy, Filipianie.
And yee Philippians knowe also that in the beginning of the Gospell, when I departed from Macedonia, no Church communicated with me, concerning the matter of giuing and receiuing, but yee onely.
16 Gdy byłem w Tesalonice, aż dwa razy udzieliliście mi pomocy!
For euen when I was in Thessalonica, yee sent once, and afterward againe for my necessitie,
17 Mówiąc o tym, nie sugeruję, że powinniście przesłać mi kolejny dar, ale pragnę, abyście doświadczyli szczęścia płynącego z pomagania innym.
Not that I desire a gift: but I desire the fruit which may further your reckoning.
18 Na razie mam wszystkiego pod dostatkiem, a po tym, jak Epafrodyt przyniósł mi wasz dar, nawet w nadmiarze. Dar ten jest jak zapach kadzidła i jak ofiara, która podoba się Bogu.
Now I haue receiued all, and haue plentie: I was euen filled, after that I had receiued of Epaphroditus that which came from you, an odour that smellleth sweete, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasant to God.
19 Wiem, że teraz mój Bóg, do którego wszystko należy, zaspokoi każdą waszą potrzebę—a stanie się tak dzięki Jezusowi Chrystusowi.
And my God shall fulfill all your necessities through his riches with glorie in Iesus Christ.

21 Pozdrówcie wszystkich świętych—ode mnie i od przyjaciół, którzy są ze mną.
Salute all the Saintes in Christ Iesus. The brethren, which are with me, greete you.
22 Swoje pozdrowienia przesyłają również inni święci, szczególnie ci, którzy pracują na dworze cezara.
All the Saintes salute you, and most of all they which are of Cesars houshold.
23 Niech Pan, Jezus Chrystus, obdarza was swoją łaską!
