I Koryntian 11
1 Naśladujcie więc mnie, tak jak ja naśladuję Chrystusa.
Become imitators of me, —even as, I also, [am] of Christ.
2 Tak się cieszę, przyjaciele, że pamiętacie wszystko, czego was nauczyłem, i przestrzegacie tego.
Now I praise you, that, in all things, ye have me in remembrance, and, even as I delivered unto you the instructions, ye hold them fast.
3 Wiedzcie jednak, że głową męża jest Chrystus, głową żony—mąż, a głową Chrystusa—Bóg.
But I wish you to know—that, the head of every man, is, the Christ, and, the head of a woman, is, the man; and, the head of the Christ, is, God.
4 Dlatego jeśli mężczyzna modli się albo prorokuje z nakrytą głową, przynosi wstyd swojej głowie.
Every man, praying, or prophesying, having anything upon his head, putteth to shame his head;
5 Jeśli zaś kobieta publicznie modli się albo prorokuje z odkrytą głową, również przynosi wstyd swojej głowie, wygląda bowiem tak, jakby nie miała włosów.
But, every woman, praying, or prophesying, with her head, unveiled, putteth to shame her head, —for it is, one and the same, with her having been shaven.
6 Jeśli nie chce nakrywać głowy, niech zetnie włosy. A skoro wstydzi się to zrobić, niech postępuje zgodnie ze zwyczajem i nakrywa głowę.
For, if a woman doth not veil herself, let her also be shorn; but, if it were a shame in a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be veiled.
7 Mąż natomiast nie powinien nakrywać głowy. Jest bowiem obrazem Boga, przynoszącym Mu chwałę, żona zaś jest obrazem męża.
For, a man, indeed, ought not to be veiling his head, being, the image and glory of God, —but, the woman, is the glory of man;
8 To nie mężczyzna powstał z kobiety, ale ona z niego.
For, man, is not, of woman, but, woman, of man;
9 I nie mąż został stworzony dla żony, ale żona dla męża.
For also man was not created, for the sake of the woman, but woman, for the sake of the man.
10 Dlatego żona powinna nosić nakrycie głowy—ze względu na aniołów.
For this cause, ought the woman to have, permission, upon her head, because of the messengers.
11 Przed Panem jednak ani żona, ani mąż nie są niezależni od siebie,
Howbeit, neither is woman apart from man, nor man apart from woman—in the Lord;
12 bo chociaż pierwsza kobieta pochodzi od mężczyzny, to jednak każdy mężczyzna rodzi się z kobiety—a wszyscy pochodzą od Boga.
For, just as the woman is of the man, so, also the man, is through means of the woman; —but, all things, are of God.
13 Sami zresztą oceńcie: Czy wypada kobiecie publicznie modlić się do Boga z odkrytą głową?
Among your own selves, judge ye, —Is it becoming for a woman, —unveiled, to be praying unto God?
14 Długie włosy u mężczyzny są czymś sprzecznym z naturą i przynoszą mu wstyd.
Doth not, even nature herself, teach you—that, if, a man, have long hair, it is a dishonour to him;
15 Kobiecie zaś—wręcz przeciwnie, dodają urody, bo zostały jej dane jako nakrycie głowy.
But, if, a woman, have long hair, it is a glory to her, for, her long hair, instead of a veil, hath been given to her.
16 Takie zasady panują we wszystkich kościołach, nie ma więc sensu sprzeczać się o te rzeczy.
But, if anyone thinketh to be contentious, we, have no such custom, —nor yet the assemblies of God.
17 Przekazując te zalecenia, chciałbym poruszyć jeszcze jedną sprawę. Nie mogę was pochwalić za to, że wasze wspólne spotkania zamiast przynosić pożytek, wyrządzają szkodę.
But, in giving you the following charge, I praise you not, —in that, not for the better, but for the worse, ye come together.
18 Usłyszałem bowiem—i po części temu wierzę—że gdy zbieracie się jako kościół, dochodzi wśród was do podziałów.
For, first of all, —when ye come together in assembly, I hear that divisions among you exist, —and, in part, I believe it;
19 Zresztą musi dojść do podziałów, bo stanowią one próbę wiary.
For there must needs be, even parties among you, that, the approved, [themselves] may become manifest among you.
20 Wasze spotkania nie mają nic wspólnego z prawdziwą Wieczerzą Pańską.
When, therefore, ye come together into one place, it is not to eat, a supper unto the Lord;
21 Każdy spożywa bowiem własny posiłek. Niektórzy są jednak głodni, a inni—pijani.
For, each one, taketh beforehand, his own supper, in your eating, and, one, indeed, is hungry, whereas, another, is drinking to excess.
22 Czy nie możecie się najeść i napić w domu? Czemu lekceważycie kościół Boga i upokarzacie biednych, których nie stać na to, aby przynieść coś do jedzenia? Co ja mam z wami zrobić? Pochwalić? Za to na pewno was nie pochwalę!
What! have ye not houses for your eating and drinking? or, the assembly of God, do ye despise, and, put to shame them who have nothing? What am I to say to you? Shall I praise you? In this, I praise you not.
23 To, co przekazałem wam na temat Wieczerzy, otrzymałem od samego Pana. On, tej nocy, której został zdradzony, wziął chleb,
For, I myself, received from the Lord—that which I also delivered unto you, —how that, the Lord Jesus, in the night in which he was being delivered up, took a loaf,
24 podziękował za niego Bogu, połamał na kawałki i powiedział do uczniów: „Jedzcie! To jest moje ciało, które oddaję za was. Czyńcie to pamiętając o Mnie”.
And, giving thanks, brake it, and said—This, is my body, which is for you, —this, do ye, in remembrance of me;
25 Po posiłku podał im kielich z winem i rzekł: „Ten kielich jest nowym przymierzem, które przypieczętuję przelewając własną krew. Pijcie z niego pamiętając o Mnie”.
In the same manner, the cup also, after they had taken supper, saying—This cup, is, the new covenant in my blood, this, do ye, as often soever as ye may be drinking it, in remembrance of me.
26 Zawsze więc, gdy spożywacie ten chleb i pijecie z tego kielicha, ogłaszacie śmierć Pana! Tak będzie aż do czasu Jego powrotu.
For, as often as ye may be eating this loaf, and, the cup, may be drinking, The death of the Lord, do ye announce, until he come.
27 Jeśli więc ktoś niegodnie spożywa chleb i niegodnie pije z kielicha Pana, grzeszy przeciwko Jego ciału i krwi.
So that, whosoever may be eating the loaf, or drinking the cup of the Lord, in an unworthy manner, shall be responsible for the body and blood of the Lord.
28 Dlatego każdy, kto sięga po ten chleb i kielich, niech osądzi swoje serce.
But let a man be proving himself, —and, so, of the loaf, let him eat, and, of the cup, let him drink;
29 Ten bowiem, kto uczestnicząc w Wieczerzy lekceważy ciało Chrystusa, ściąga na siebie Boży sąd.
For, he that is eating and drinking, —judgment unto himself, doth eat and drink, —if he be not setting apart the body.
30 Z tego właśnie powodu jest wśród was wielu słabych i chorych, a niektórzy nawet umarli.
For this cause, many among you are weak and sickly; and, not a few, are falling asleep.
31 Jeśli jednak będziecie osądzać swoje serca, ominie was ta kara.
If, however, we had been setting, ourselves, apart, we had not, in that case, been coming under judgment;
32 A gdy Pan nas osądza i karze, czyni to po to, abyśmy nie zostali potępieni wraz z całym światem.
But, being brought under judgment, by the Lord, are we being disciplined, lest, with the world, we should be condemned.
33 Zatem, moi przyjaciele, przychodząc na Wieczerzę Pańską, czekajcie na siebie nawzajem.
So then, my brethren, —when ye come together for the eating, unto one another, be giving welcome: —
34 Jeśli ktoś jest bardzo głodny, niech się naje w domu. Nie pozwólcie, aby z powodu waszych spotkań dotknęła was Boża kara. O pozostałych sprawach powiem wam, gdy do was przybędę.
If anyone be hungry, at home, let him eat, lest, unto judgment, ye be coming together. And, the remaining things, whensoever I come, I will set in order.
