Psalms 1

1 MEID pai ol o, me jota alialu ni padak en me doo jan Kot akan o me jo duki on me dipan akan, o me jo mondi ren me malaun akan,

Happy are those who don't follow the advice of the wicked. They refuse to adopt the ways of sinful people, and they don't make fun of others.

2 A me kin peren kida kapun en leowa o madamadaua duen a kapun ni ran o ni pon!

Instead they love to do what the law of the Lord says, and they think about it day and night.

3 A rajon tuka pot, me padedier ni kailan pilap akan me kin kapareda wa ni a anjau, o ta kan jota kin monala, a karoj a wiawia pwaida.

They're like trees growing by flowing rivers, producing fruit every season. Their leaves never wither, and they are successful in all they do.

4 Me doo jan Kot akan jota kin dueta, a re rajon dip me an kin iririp jili.

But it's not like that for the wicked! They are like chaff, blown away by the wind.

5 I me doo jan Kot akan jota pan pwai kida nan kadeik, o me dipan akan nan momod en me pun kan.

For this reason the wicked will not survive the judgment—sinners have no place among those who live right.

6 Pwe leowa kotin mani al en me pun kan; a al en ir, me doo jan Kot akan, pan joredi.

For the Lord watches over those who follow the right way, but the way of the wicked leads to death.
