Psalms 77

For the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm by Asaph. My cry goes to God! Indeed, I cry to God for help, and for him to listen to me.
2 Ni ai anjau apwal, i kin rapaki leowa; ni pon pa i kin u wei o jota kin dukedi, pwe wen I jota kak injenemaula.
In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired. My soul refused to be comforted.
3 Ni ai tamanda Kot, i kin ajenokida, ni ai madamadaua, nen i kin luetala.
I remember God, and I groan. I complain, and my spirit is overwhelmed. (Selah)
4 Kom kin kotin kolekol por en maj ai, pwe ira en papat; nai inen en luet, jolar itar on lokaia.
You hold my eyelids open. I am so troubled that I can’t speak.
5 I kin lamelame duen ran en maj akan, duen par akan me jamalar.
I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.
6 Ni pon i kin lamelame duen ai kajan arp, o monion i kin madamadaua; nen i kin raparapaki.
I remember my song in the night. I consider in my own heart; my spirit diligently enquires:
7 Kalelapok, leowa pan kotin onion kokolata, o a jota pan kotin maki on?
“Will the Lord reject us forever? Will he be favourable no more?
8 A kalanan rojelar melel, o a inau imwijokalar kokolata?
Has his loving kindness vanished forever? Does his promise fail for generations?
9 Kot kotin malielar a mak on kit, o a karirikilar onion a kalanan?
Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he, in anger, withheld his compassion?” (Selah)
10 Ari jo, i indadar: Mepukat me mau on ia; pali maun en lim en me Lapalap pan kak dorela meakaroj.
Then I thought, “I will appeal to this: the years of the right hand of the Most High.”
11 I me i kin taman kida wiawian leowa; melel i kin tamanda omui manaman akan jan maj o,
I will remember the LORD’s deeds; for I will remember your wonders of old.
12 O madamadaua duen omui wiawia kan karoj, o kilekilan duen omui dodok.
I will also meditate on all your work, and consider your doings.
13 Main Kot, al omui me pun. Ia waja amen Kot manaman mia dueta Kaun o?
Your way, God, is in the sanctuary. What god is great like God?
14 Komui ta Kot me kin wia manaman akan. Komui kotin kajanjaledar omui manaman nan pun en wei kan.
You are the God who does wonders. You have made your strength known amongst the peoples.
15 Komui kotin dore kila japwilim omui kan omui manaman, iei jeri en Iakop o Iojep akan.
You have redeemed your people with your arm, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)
16 Pil akan ariri komui, Main Kot, pil akan ariri komui, rap majapwekadar, o waja lol rererdar.
The waters saw you, God. The waters saw you, and they writhed. The depths also convulsed.
17 Tapok kalaimun akan kamoredier pil, tapok kan wiadar nanjapwe, o liol piripir jili.
The clouds poured out water. The skies resounded with thunder. Your arrows also flashed around.
18 Nanjapwe wiauier nanlan; japwilim omui liol akan kamaraini jappa; jappa mokieda o rerer.
The voice of your thunder was in the whirlwind. The lightnings lit up the world. The earth trembled and shook.
19 Al omui mi nan madau, al omui tatik nan pil kalaimun akan, o jota me kaan aluwilu omui.
Your way was through the sea, your paths through the great waters. Your footsteps were not known.
20 Kom kotin kalua japwilim omui kan dueta pwin eu ren Mojej o Aron.
You led your people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
