Psalms 124

If it had not been Yhwh who was on our side, now may Israel say;

2 Ma Ieowa jota pan kotin ieian kit, ni en aramaj akan ni palian kit.

If it had not been Yhwh who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

3 Re pan katala kit ala ni at memaur, ni ar linaranar kin kit.

Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

4 Pil akan ap pan kamop kit ala, pilap akan kadupwaledi nen it.

Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

5 Pil akan itida melel lao kadupwaledi nen it.

Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

6 Kapin on Ieowa, me jota mueid on, ni arail en ter kit pajan!

Blessed be Yhwh, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

7 Nen it piti jan injar en jaun injar dueta manpir amen; injar ola, a kit pitila.

Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

8 Jauaj pat iei mar en Ieowa, me kotin kapikadar lan o jappa.

Our help is in the name of Yhwh, who made heaven and earth.
