< Ioanej 1 >

1 MAJAN kotier ni tapi o, a majan kotier ren Kot, a majan me udan Kot.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 I me kotikot ren Kot ni tapi o.
The same was in the beginning with God.
3 I me dipijou karoj tapi kidar, o jota man meakot mia, me kaidin i kotin wiadar
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 Maur mi re a; o iei maur o marain en aramaj.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 A marain o me dakarada rotorot, a rotorot jota linan kila.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 Aramaj amen me pakadarador jan ren Kot ad a loanej!
There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John.
7 I me pwara don kadede, pwen kadede marain o pwe karoj en pojon pweki i.
The same came for a witness, to bear testimony of the Light, that all [men] through him might believe.
8 Kaidin i me marain o, a a kin kadede marain o.
He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear testimony of that Light.
9 Iei marain melel, me pwara don jappa, ap kamaraini aramaj karoj.
[That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 I me kotier jappa, o i me jappa tapi kidar, a jappa jaja i.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 A koti don udan japwilim a, a japwilim a kan me jan i.
He came to his own, and his own received him not.
12 Karoj, me kajamo i, a kotiki on ir manaman, en wiala jeri en Kot, ir, me pojon mar a,
But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:
13 Me kaidin ipwidi jan nta, de inon en uduk, de inon en ol o, pwe ipwidier jan ren Kot.
Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 Majan me wia uduk ala okotikot re atail, o kitail kilaner a linan, linan dueta linan en leroj eu jan ren Jam o, me dir en mak melel.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, ) full of grace and truth.
15 loanej me kadede i nil laudeda indada: lei i, me i padaki wei: Me pan kotido mur i, iei me mier mo i, pwe a kotikotier mo i.
John testified concerning him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spoke, He that cometh after me, is preferred before me; for he was before me.
16 Pwe kitail karoj ale jan nan audepa a mak japan potopot.
And of his fullness have we all received, and grace for grace.
17 Pwe kapun me kokido jan Mojej, a mak o melel jan Iejuj Krijtuj.
For the law was given by Moses, [but] grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
18 Jota me kilaner Kot kokodo, o ieroj ta, me kin kotikot pan kupur en Jam o, i me kotin kajaledar i.
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].
19 A met en Ioanej a kadede, ni men Juj kadarala jan Ierujalem jamero o lepit oko, pwen idok re a: Ij koe
And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem, to ask him, Who art thou?
20 I ari kotin kadede; a jota likam; a kotin kadede: Kaidin Krijtuj nai.
And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.
21 Irail idok re a: A ij? Eliaj komui? A majani: Kaidin nai i. Komui jaukop o? A japen: Kaidin.
And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elijah? and he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
22 Irail ap indan i: A ij komui? Pwe jen japen irail me kadar kit dor. Da me komui kadedeki pein komui?
Then said they to him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
23 A majani: Nai nil eu, me likelikwir jili nan jap tan: Kaineneda al en Kaun o, duen jaukop Iejaia majanier!
He said, I [am] the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaiah.
24 A irail pakadaradoer jan ren Parijar akan.
And they who were sent were of the Pharisees.
25 Irail ap idok re a indada: Da me komui wia paptaijiki, ma komui kaidin Krijtuj, o kaidin Eliaj, o pil kaidin jaukop o?
And they asked him, and said to him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou art not that Christ, nor Elijah, neither that prophet?
26 Ioanej japen irail majani: Nai me paptaijiki pil, a amen kin kotikot nan pun omail, me komail jaja.
John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
27 lei i me kotido mur i, me nai jowar on, en lapwada jal en japwilim a jut.
He it is, who coming after me, is preferred before me, whose shoes' latchet I am not worthy to unloose.
28 Mepukat wiauier Petapara palilan Iordan, waja Ioanej kin wia paptaij ia.
These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.
29 Mandan ran o a majani Iejuj a koti don i ap majani: Kilan Jippul en Kot, me kin wawei dip en jappa!
The next day John seeth Jesus coming to him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world.
30 lei i, me i padaki wei: ol amen pan kotido mur i iei, me mier mo i, pwe a kotikotier mo i.
This is he of whom I said, after me cometh a man who is preferred before me; for he was before me.
31 A nai jo aja i, a pwe i en janjal don Ijrael, iei me i kokido paptaijiki pil.
And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
32 A Ioanej kadede majani: I kilaner Nen o kotidido jan nanlan ni mom en muroi kotikot re a.
And John bore testimony, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
33 A nai jo aja i, a me porone ia don wia paptaijiki pil, iei me kotin majani on ia: Me koe pan kilan. Nen piridi jok poa, o kotikoteta re a, iei i, me kin wia paptaijiki Nen jaraui.
And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said to me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and remaining on him, the same is he who baptizeth with the Holy Spirit.
34 A i kilanadar ap kadedeki, me iei Japwilim en Kot.
And I saw and bore testimony, that this is the Son of God.
35 Mandan ran o Ioanej pil kotida waja o, o na tounpadak riamen ian i.
Again the next day after, John stood, and two of his disciples;
36 A ni a udial Iejuj kotikot kokodo, ap majani: Kilan Jippul en Kot!
And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
37 A tounpadak riamen ronadar a majan, ap idauen wei Iejuj.
And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
38 Iejuj ap kotin jaupeido majani ara idedauen, ap kotin majani on ira: Da me koma rapaki? Ira potoan on: Rapi (iet wewe: Jaunpadak), ia waja re kin kotikot ia?
Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith to them, What seek ye? They said to him, Rabbi (which is to say, being interpreted, Master) where dwellest thou?
39 A kotin majani on ira: Kodo kilan! Ira ap poto don kilaner waja, me a kotikot ia, ap mimieta re a ni ran o. Mepukat wiauier impan auer kaeijok.
He saith to them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
40 Andreaj, ri en Jimon Petruj amen re ra, me ronadar jan ren Ioanej ap idedauen i.
One of the two who heard John [speak], and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
41 I me diaradar maj udan ri a Jimon, indai on i: Je diaradar Mejiaj (iet wewe: Krijtuj).
He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith to him, We have found the Messiah; which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
42 I ap kalualan i ren Iejuj. A Iejuj lao majani i, ap majani: Jimon, koe nain Iona, koe nok adaneki Kepaj (iet wewe: Paip).
And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas; which is, by interpretation, a stone.
43 Mandan ran o a pan kotilan Kalilaa, Iejuj ap kotin diaradar Pilipuj, majani on i: Idauen ia do!
The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith to him, follow me.
44 Pilipuj men Petjaida, kanim en Andreaj o Petruj.
Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
45 Pilipuj diaradar Natanael, ap indan i: Je diaradar i, duen me Mojej intiniedier nan puk en kapun o jaukop akan: Iejuj men Najaret, japwilim en Iojep.
Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith to him, We have found him described by Moses in the law, and by the prophets, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
46 A Natanael indai on i: Pala maukot pan kak pwarada jan Najaret? Pilipuj indan i: Kodo kilan!
And Nathanael said to him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith to him, Come and see.
47 Iejuj kotin majani Natanael koko don i, ap majani duen i: Kilan, ol melel en Ijrael amen, me jota kin widin.
Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
48 Natanael potoan on i: Re kotin mani ia jan ia? Iejuj kotin japen majani on i: Mon Pilipuj a eker uk edo, ni om mod pan tuka pik o, I kilan uk ada.
Nathanael saith to him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig-tree, I saw thee.
49 Natanael japen potoan on i: Rapi, ir me Japwilim en Kot, ir me Nanmarki en Ijrael.
Nathanael answered and said to him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
50 Iejuj kotin japen majani on i: Pweki I indai on uk, me I kilan uk ada pan tuka pik o, iei me koe pojonki, a koe nok kilan me lapa jan mepukat.
Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to thee, I saw thee under the fig-tree, dost thou believe? thou shalt see greater things than these.
51 A kotin majani on i: Melel, melel I indai on komail, jan met komail pan kilan nanlan a ritida o tounlan en Kot akan dauda o daudi pwarado ren Nain aramaj.
And he saith to him, Verily, verily, I say to you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
