< Ioanej 21 >

1 A MURIN mepukat Iejuj pil kajale on tounpadak kan pein i pon le en Tiperiaj; a iet duen a kajaledar:
Afterward, Jesus again appeared to the disciples, at the sea of Tiberias; and in this manner he appeared.
2 Jimon Petruj o Tomaj, me adaneki Didimoj, o Natanael men Kana nan Kalilaa, o nain Jepedauj ol oko, o pil japwilim a tounpadak riamen me pokon pena,
Simon Peter and Thomas, that is, Didymus, Nathanael of Cana, in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples of Jesus, being together,
3 Jimon Petruj indai on irail: I pan kola laid. Irail indai on i: Je pil pan ian uk. Irail ari koieila, kereda pon kijin jop pot. A ni pon o re jota jaikidi meakot.
Simon Peter said, I am going a-fishing. They answered, We will go with you. Immediately they went, and got aboard a bark, but that night caught nothing.
4 A lao waja ranier, Iejuj ap kotikot ni oror, a japwilim a tounpadak kan jaja, me i Iejuj.
In the morning Jesus stood on the shore; the disciples, however, knew not that it was Jesus.
5 Iejuj ap kotin majani on irail: Jeri ko, jota kan omail? Re japen i: Jota.
Jesus said to them, My children, have you any victuals? They answered, No.
6 A kotin majani on irail: Kaduiedi uk o pali maun en jop o, a komail pan diarada. Irail ap kaduedi; re ap jolar kak apiada pweki mam toto.
Cast the net, cried he, on the right side of the bark, and you will find. They did so, but were not able to draw it, by reason of the multitude of fishes.
7 Tounpadak o, me Iejuj kotin kupura mauki, ap indai on Petruj: Iei Kaun o. Jimon Petruj loa ronadar, me i Kaun o, ap pira on a jakit en liki pwe a kilijo, ap lujedi on nan le o.
Then that disciple whom Jesus loved, said to Peter, It is the Master. Simon Peter, hearing that it was the Master, girt on his upper garment (which was laid aside) and threw himself into the sea.
8 A tounpadak tei kan jeijei kodo nan kijin jop, pwe re jo doo jan jap o, ele tipon en pa riepuki, urakido uk o mam oko.
But the other disciples came in the boat, (for they were not farther from land than about two hundred cubits, ) dragging the net, with the fishes.
9 Irail leler jap, rap diaradar kijiniai o mam oko nji poa o prot.
When they came ashore, they saw a fire burning, and a fish laid on it, and bread.
10 Iejuj ap kotin majani on irail: Wado kijan jaik omail!
Jesus said to them, Bring of the fishes which you have now taken.
11 Jimon Petruj ap koda waike lon don nan jap uk o, me dir en mam kalaimun epuki limek jilimen; mam me toto, ari jo, uk jota olar.
Simon Peter went back, and drew the net to land, full of large fishes, a hundred and fifty-three; and the net was not rent, notwithstanding the number.
12 Iejuj kotin majani on irail: U kodo mana! A jota amen ren tounpadak kan kak idok re a: Ij komui? Pwe re ajaer, me i Kaun o.
Jesus said to them, Come and dine. Meantime none of the disciples ventured to ask him, Who are you? knowing that it was the Master.
13 Iejuj ap kotido limada prot, nek on irail o pil mam oko.
Jesus drew near, and taking bread and fish, distributed among them.
14 A i me kajilepak en Iejuj a kotin kajale on japwilim a tounpadak kan pein i, murin a iajada jan a matalar.
This is the third time that Jesus appeared to his disciples, after his resurrection.
15 Irail lao manaer. Iejuj ap kotin majani on Jimon Petruj: Jimon, nain Iona, koe kin pok on ia mon mepukat? A i potoan on i: Ei Main, ir me mani, me i kin pok on ir. A kotin majani on i: Apwali nai jippul akan!
When they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, do you love me more than these? He answered, Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.
16 A pil majani on i kariapak: Jimon, nain Iona, koe kin pok on ia? A japen i: Ei Main, ir me kotin mani, me i kin pok on ir. A kotin majani on i: Apwali nai jip akan!
A second time he said, Simon, son of Jonas, do you love m? He answered, Yes, Lord, you know that I love you. Jesus replied, Tend my sheep.
17 A kotin majani on i kajilepak: Jimon, nain Iona, koe kin pok on ia? Petruj ap mamauki a peidok pan jilepak: Koe pok on ia? A potoan on i: Main, ir me kotin mani meakaroj, re kotin mani, me i kin pok on ir. Iejuj kotin majani on i: Apwali nai jip akan!
A third time he said, Simon, son of Jonas, do you love me? Peter, grieved at his asking this question a third time, answered, Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you. Jesus replied, Feed my sheep.
18 Melel, melel I indai on uk, ni om manakap koe pein pirai uk pena, ap alu wei waja, me koe mauki. A koe lao likailapala, koe nek kida wei pa om akan, a amen pan pirai uk edi o kalualan waja, me koe kan kola ia.
Most assuredly, I say to you, in your youth you girt yourself, and went whither you would; but in your old age, you shall stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you whither you would not.
19 I me a kotin kokop kidar, duen a pan kapinaki Kot a matala. A lao kotin majanier met, ap majani on i: Idauen ia!
This he spoke, signifying by what death he should glorify God. After these words, he said to him, Follow me.
20 Petruj ap joupewei, kilan tounpadak o idauen ira, me Iejuj kotin kupura mauki o me pil mi pan kupur a ni kamadip o kalelapok: Main, ij i, me pan pan komui la?
And Peter turning about, saw the disciple, whom Jesus loved, following, (the same who, leaning on his breast at the supper, had asked who it was, that would betray him.)
21 Petruj lao kilaner i, ap indai on Iejuj: Main, menda men et?
Peter seeing him, said to Jesus, And what, Lord, shall become of this man?
22 Iejuj kotin majani on i: Ma I mauki, a en mimieta I lao puredo, menda re om? Koe en idauen ia!
Jesus answered, If I will that he wait my return, what is that to you? Follow me.
23 Kajoi pot et ap loloki jili nan pun en jaulan kan, me dene tounpadak o jota pan mela. A Iejuj jota kotin majanier, me a jota pan mela, a: Ma I mauki, a en mimieta I lao puredo, menda re om?
Hence arose the rumor among the brethren, that that disciple should not die; nevertheless, Jesus said not, that he should not die; but, If I will, that he wait my return, what is that to you?
24 let tounpadak, me kadele mepukat o intiniedier mepukat; a je aja, me a kadede me melel.
It is this disciple, who attests these things, and wrote this account; and we know that his testimony deserves credit.
25 A jon toto, me Iejuj kotin wiadar a ma irail karoj pan intinidi, i lamelame, me jappa jota itar on koledi puk kan, me pan intinidi.
There were many other things also performed by Jesus, which, were they to be severally related, I imagine, the world itself could not contain the volumes that would be written.
